appalling company to deal with
appalling company to deal with. offered me sensible money online for a 7 year old laptop, in great condition. On receiving it they complained that the battery didn't have more than 80% life in it. (funny that, after 7 years daily usage). Pathetic service and no opportunity to speak to anyone either.
Very good customer service but .....
Very good customer service. Initial contact.good and offer for my flip4 acceptable. I bought a replacement refurbished phone semt mine off and waited for the new phone to arrive. My phone arrived and then came rhe dreaded email. Your software is corrupt and the phones locked. Offer drop by over 80%. A dodgy picture was included to add weight to their claim but you couldn't make head nor tale of it. I called Samsung and got them to run a remote check on my phone they came back with no faults software all good and no lock that they can see. Definatley a scam to get you to accept a lower price. I sent back the phone i bought from them and got a refund. I didnt get me Samsung box back which is a shame. This is not the first company who i have tried check out my review of Meelie, similar tactics as this one. It seems there is a bit of a scam running with theee type of operations, once your phone is there you are more likley to accept a lower offer than ask for it back.
Wish Iâd read these reviews first
Sent in an iPhone as part of a trade in via Very. The phone was immaculate having been in a case from day one, with a screen guard. Upon receipt they claimed the screen was lifting and halved the offer. Iâm not convinced the photo sent was the phone I sent in, or someone had dropped it. Declined the offer and will trade the phone elsewhere. Very poor.
Upon returning the phone (minus the apple box) I traded it using webuyanyphone. The phone was accepted as described and they paid £30 more than the original quote from MTR. DO NOT USE this scam company
Rip-off Britain strikes again..
Bought a new S24 Ultra from SAMSUNG and traded in my old phone and received a demand for a payment of £25, for screenburn.
I have paid the requested amount. However, the provided image with yellow arrows pointing out the so called damage didn't show any obvious damage to me. I feel as if I have been scammed by this company and SAMSUNG by their association with them.
This experience has left me disappointed with SAMSUNG. For my next mobile purchase I will consider other brands after a being a lifetime SAMSUNG purchaser. I will also cancel my SAMSUNG Watch 6 LTE order based on this experience. Loyalty is earned by customer satisfaction SAMSUNG.

Shameful trade in prices
Do not be tempted with a trade in of mobile with Very through MTR. You will be given a pittance for a fully working Samsung Galaxy s22 5g 256gb with a crack to screen. £ 60 was offered ! It would cost them £80 to fix and Very would sell them for over £400!
Take elsewhere for better offers even with a crack to screen. I got £185 elsewhere. Very need to use a different company.
unbeknown like many other I was unawareâŠ
unbeknown like many other I was unaware samsung was using a 3rd party for there trading scheme. All seemed well the process was easy I sent in my phone s20 ultra which was is mint condition. Only for a week to pass and get an email demanding £75 because they deemed my screen had been tampered with about nonsense. They sent me like others a rubbish picture of a phone resembling my pointing out faults.
To this point you can make out what wrong or even if it my phone.
Unwillingly I had to pay the £75 or have my new one turned off or locked out. This is a bullyboy tactic to force money out your pocket. I WILL NOT BE USING SAMSUNG TRADE IN AGAIN ITS SCAM.
Traded in a S21+ in near perfectâŠ
Traded in a S21+ in near perfect condition against a new S24+ via samsung.
Received an email to state 'Debris on camera lens' ' Please pay £75'
Refused and told them to send the phone back. 2hrs later, this charge was waived....
It's a trade in phone, was asked if it powered up, charged and was free from cracks.
Scammers after money, I will not use these ever again for a trade in even though the charge was waived.
Scammers
Scammers, send them perfectly working s20ultra on Samsung trade in turned out have to pay £75 as the screen is burnedð€£. Scam scam scam.
Absolute scammers!
Absolute scammers!
Traded in a S10 with Samsung for the new S24+.
Phone lived in a case from day 1 and was sent in perfect condition.
Email said i had to pay £50 for screen damage with a picture of a S10 which WASNT mine. IMEI showing in the picture did not match the one i returned on the trade in.
Contacted samsung to report their "trade in partner" for attempted fraud, despite them having the data needed to trace that imei and prove MTR are fraudsters, samsung replied to say that i still had to pay it!
At the same time MTR said the trade in was complete and Samsung waived the charge!?
Something fishy going on here, perhaps Samsung are in on the fraud too?
Watchdog need to investigate this terrible company.
Scammers do not use
Sent a perfect condition phone which has never had screen protector removed or protective case. They offered inflated trade in when you buy a new model. Sent in original box .. they sent a photo of nothing and said there was dust in the camera lens so must have been tampered with ????? There was nothing visible in the photo so they offered over £100 less .. they then returned with DPD who tried to deliver once then sent it back to them ! On receiving the phone back they have kept the original box and taken all protective covers off of it, we have shone a torch on the lens and there is nothing visible at all. The boxes are selling for a tenner each on eBay maybe itâs a side hustle they are scammers please avoid !
Awful experience!!! Do not use
- Terrible communication, took me several emails asking the same question to even get a response that vaguely resembled an answer.
- Still wouldnt give me a break down of costs as to why I owed them more money.
- I've had many Samsung phones but my experience with this company has changed my mind and I will be trying elsewhere next time.
Terrible experience.
DO NOT TRADE IN WITH SAMSUNG AS THESE GUYS WILL ROB YOU BLIND
Like everyone else. They are scamming me for £75. Traded in my phone a month ago and received an email today requesting £75.00 for screen burn which is a complete lie. My phone was not very old and was in perfect working condition. I have always looked after my phones. Invested in shock resitant cases, tempered glass screen protectors so I know that phone is in pristine condition. Reached out to Samsung on twitter yesterday but basically they said they cannot do anything. Will try and call and see if they can do anything but I am definitely reporting them to trading standards. This is not a one off and not everyone can have the same screen burn as per everyone elses reviews. Joke of a company.
Incompetent and/or Fraudulent?
Incompetent, Fraudulent or Both?
Didn't receive my trade in and threatened to block my phone. Several weeks trying to argue it was sent and signed for (glad I paid for royal mail special delivery and had proof), terrible communication. All with a notification on my phone that its about to be blocked.
Sudden radio silence before a month later, magically the phone has appeared with a random screen burn . . . £75 wanted.
Same scam they pulled last time I traded in. I thought maybe I made a mistake the 1st time, this time I checked and no 100% there was no burn when it was sent. These guys are running a money making scam and Samsung seem to have little care, why would they I guess.
Avoid samsung trade in like the plague. And avoid these crooks!
Pathetic liars
Pathetic liars
Took a contact with them just before new year and there was trade in option so they quoted my old phone £100 . Just received an email from them that they can't pay me any more £100 because the back cover is lifted but they can give me £30
YES BUT NO ... Now, the phone was taken on contact and came in a sealed box and has always been with us since, never been to repair shop or anyone is been trying to open it ( we don't know how to do it even )
Because the phone is in fully working order in mint condition they are claiming the back panel is slightly lifted.
What a pathetic liars
Scammers!!
Scammers!!! Avoid. Phone 100% in great working condition, they charged me £150 for fake reason. When I asked for proofs they avoid providing any. S****** P***
Another one gone to dust.
Another one gone to dust.
Royal Mail advised there was a problem with the postage, phone got lost.
Be AWARE: MTR send Tracked 48 Returns which don't get tracked UNLESS phone gets delivered. So when they book the postage wrong, Royal Mail contacts them, not you, they don't respond, the tracking number is not updated, phone gets blocked somewhere, the Trade In Money get squeezed out of you, then the phone arrives to MTR weeks later... for free. Ta da! No wonder their profits are so high!
The Insurance on the leaflet is in THEIR favour, not yours so you can't claim with Royal Mail.
I have seen a few here who went to the police. Trading Standard might also be a solution as well.
Shame on Samsung for working with them!
Another customer lost + every person I speak to + social media. More and more of my friends will move to other brands. Shame Samsung!
Avoid at all cost

Organised a repair through Samsung, and Samsung organised for it to be repaired by MTR harlow. Phone came back looking good, however the phone was letting in water. I called back Samsung and a different mobile repair company came to my house to have a look. He told me a fake screen and fake back glass were put on my phone by a 3rd party⊠ONLY MTR HARLOW HAD TOUCHED MY PHONE.
If Samsung try to organise a repair for you there, respectfully ask for a different company.
