I started my journey with Music Lessons Anywhere during the spring semester of my eighth grade year. I had long wanted to learn violin, and so when my school shut down and began distance learning, my family jumped at the opportunity to get me started on lessons. Elizabeth Bux was my violin teacher from April of 2020 to August of 2024, and I learned, so, so much from her. She patiently taught me everything, from adjusting my collapsed bridge during our very first lesson to sending me videos and finding songs she knew I'd like. I'm attending Pacific University this fall, and thanks to Liz, I have an annual repeating $6000 music scholarship for my performance on violin. I'm so grateful to her and to Music Lessons Anywhere for helping me to learn this instrument when I didn't have access to a teacher elsewhere. I couldn't recommend these people enough!

My 14 year old son studied Grade 5 theory as an intensive course with Tracy in one week. He then quickly passed the exam with distinction, following Tracy’s excellent tuition. Tracy was so encouraging and helpful throughout; I’d highly recommend her tuition.

My 17-year-old son has been studying Western Classical Piano at “Music Lessons Anywhere” for the past 8 months, and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. Prior to finding this institute, he had struggled with previous tutors whose teaching styles did not quite suit him. Our fortunes changed when we discovered Music Lessons Anywhere and had the privilege of interacting with Ms. Tracy Rose, who impressed us with her clear commitment to mentoring students effectively.
Ms. Tracy assigned Ms. Kelsey Rogers as my son's mentor, and from the very first day, it was evident that Ms. Rogers was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also possessed a warm and accommodating personality. Being from India and non-native English speakers, we appreciated how Ms. Rogers adapted her teaching to make my son feel comfortable, which significantly aided his learning journey.
One of the standout features of Music Lessons Anywhere is their approach to teaching. While we initially weren't focused on graded exams, Ms. Kelsey's guidance and dedication motivated my son to pursue them. I'm delighted to share that within a short duration he passed Grade 4 with distinction, and we eagerly await the results of Grade 5. What sets Ms. Kelsey apart is her teaching method, which goes beyond exam preparation to imparting the true essence and nuances of music, nurturing my son's development as a musician.
Moreover, the institute's practice of summarizing lessons via email immediately after each session is commendable and something we had not encountered elsewhere. It demonstrates their commitment to transparency and continuous improvement. Additionally, their responsiveness to any queries is exemplary, ensuring that we always feel supported and informed.
In conclusion, I am delighted to provide this glowing review of Music Lessons Anywhere. I wholeheartedly recommend this esteemed institute to anyone serious about learning music. I look forward to continuing our association with Ms. Tracy, Ms. Kelsey, and their team for many years to come. Their dedication and expertise have not only transformed my son's musical abilities but have also enriched our overall experience with music education.

My daughter had been using the ipad, ABRSM music theory app and got to grade 2 - however it had taken over 2 years. It was difficult as a parent to watch her struggle on Grade 3 using the app so we began looking for someone to give her a little push... Someone must be able to help right?

Then we came across Tracy, and the rest is history!

My daughter ended up taking the 8 hour intensive course with Tracy. Tracy is a magician! She's a seasoned pro, who puts the child at ease and introduced ways to reduce the difficult concepts, into bitesize portions which were then much easier to understand and memorise.

The 8 hour intensive course was split into 3 zooms over 3 different days ... 3, 3 and 2 hours long. All within February half term week. Tracy also sent us a section of the zoom highlighting, in her experience, difficult areas. Homework was given in between the 3 zooms.

Once the 8 hour course was over, questions from past exam papers were set and my daughter slowly worked through each paper, going over corrections until she was comfortable to sit the exam. Tracy was happy to mark the past papers and give feedback on weaker areas.

It took 3 months from the start of contact with Tracy, to exam day - we were away for Easter which had also stretched the timeframe out. To help aid understanding, Tracy also runs a free 30 min course on Saturday lunchtimes for pupils to go over difficult areas. These were just fantastic - my daughter found these very very useful. THANK YOU Tracy.

Please take time to read the ABRSM rules on the exam - note what is, and what isn't allowed, and how to scan the room. The candidate is given 2 hours to complete the exam, but my daughter finished in 75 minutes.

The results, came through 4 weeks later (via email). We were thrilled to find out my daughter had been awarded a distinction! Thank you so much Tracy! My 11 year old daughter took the Intensive Grade Five Theory course over half term and received excellent results! From our initial discussions with Tracey my daughter was engaged and looking forward to the course. Her tutor Dominique was excellent; the course was well structured and clear.

The weekly theory workshops were also engaging and encouraging; students could ask to cover any topic they may be struggling with.

My daughter has done the aural training for ABRSM grade 7 exam with Music Lessons Anywhere. The course was well structured, with extensive list of materials and varieties of online resources to compliment that so it was easy for my daughter to practice after the lesson. The teachers Liz and Tracy were both excellent in teaching.

Highly recommend Tracy and Carol - the experience we had with the Grade 0-5 music theory course was everything we wanted. Efficient, clear and so easy, saving us years of theory lessons! Tracy and Carol were so helpful at every stage. Brilliant and I will be back for my younger children!

The experience started with Tracy who welcomed my daughter to the club, she enthused her with the array of information and help available.
Owen made the first lesson enjoyable and my daughter was eager to research her topic for homework. All in all a very positive experience so far.

My son had a string of misfortunes with music theory teachers before we found Tracy. She has been incredible! Her patience and dedication with my son has been remarkable, and her lesson notes were very detailed and helpful too. After he successfully passed the music theory exam, she promptly arranged violin lessons for him with an equally outstanding teacher, who helped him through the ABRSM grade 6 exam with flying colours. I had not done much theory work in music before and needed guidance with my theory exam. My course here was extremely helpful and I had a great experience with my teacher who was very kind and patient! Would definitely recommend especially if you have not had much experience with music theory, but even if not the teaching methods and resources provided are great for preparing for exams. My teacher was always available to ask questions, or mark past papers or worksheets and very enthusiastic which made it a great learning atmosphere!

The online lessons with Stefan have been extremely positive and constructive. My music teacher has been very patient, and encouraging. He has pushed me positively to play with confidence, learn my tunes and improve greatly. I did not think that I could be persuaded to practice and achieve competence as I have now.

My husband first booked me singing lessons with Music Lessons Anywhere for my birthday and then again for Christmas and I enjoyed my lessons with Mike so much that I've booked more since. Mike has taught me how to sing from my chest rather than my throat and given me the confidence to sing different styles of music, thanks to now knowing how to sing from my diaphragm. Each lesson begins with some warm up exercises and then Mike provides pointers as I sing various songs. He provides lesson notes and practising scales and songs has really helped my singing technique and brought back a long lost love of singing. Mike is both a knowledgeable and fun teacher - so lessons have been enjoyable and worthwhile. I still have a lot to learn, but am now confident enough to join a choir. Music Lessons Anywhere is a brilliant concept to learn to sing or play instruments in the comfort of your own home via zoom, which means it's open to anyone (young and old) in any part of the world. Thanks to the dedication and experience of the founders and teachers involved it really is a brilliant way to learn, so either treat yourself to some lessons or gift them.

Music Lessons has been instrumental in teaching my family the love of music. We started with my elder son in 2016, continued with my younger one and I jumped into the wagon during COVID! We’ve all had different teachers but each experience has been professional,fun and enriching! Being online, it ensures we don’t loose touch while we travel and as expats. Classes continue wherever we go. Tracy has also gone beyond music exams. My son- after a particularly difficult IB exam- came home and started playing a ‘non-exam’ piece- Tracy had taught him the key theory and he was inspired to try a new piece himself! The free workshops, online concerts and attentive team have been exceptional. One of our best online learning experiences.
