Først kunne jeg ikke få lov at betale, da det endelig lykkedes blev det ikke registreret og jeg måtte betale endnu engang for at få bilen udleveret.

Vorsicht bei MyCamper – Kaution nicht wie versprochen zurückbekommen!
Ich habe am 28.05.2025 ein Wohnmobil über MyCamper zurückgegeben. Der Vermieter hat beim Checkout bestätigt, dass alles in Ordnung ist – keine Schäden, alles sauber. Dennoch habe ich bis heute, 16.06.2025, meine Kaution nicht zurückerhalten.
Die Kommunikation mit MyCamper ist frustrierend: Der Chat bringt keine Hilfe, man wird nur vertröstet. Auf E-Mails kommt keine klare Antwort – lediglich der Hinweis, dass die Kaution angeblich freigegeben sei. Laut meiner Bank jedoch ist das Geld bis 23.06.2025 von einer externen Firma blockiert, mit der MyCamper zusammenarbeitet.
Fazit: Die versprochene Rückzahlung innerhalb von 5–10 Tagen ist absolut unrealistisch. Ich habe inzwischen das Gefühl, dass man um sein Geld richtig kämpfen muss – oder es gar nicht zurückbekommt.
Nie wieder! Wer hier mietet, sollte sich auf lange Wartezeiten und fehlenden Kundenservice einstellen.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Rückmeldung – es tut uns sehr leid, dass Sie diese Erfahrung machen mussten. Sobald die Rückzahlung der Kaution initiiert wurde, dauert es in der Regel 5–10 Werktage, bis das Geld aufgrund der Bearbeitungszeiten im externen Zahlungssystem wieder auf Ihrem Konto ist. Wenn eine Buchung manuell geprüft werden musste, z. B. wegen möglicher Zusatzkosten, kann es leider etwas länger dauern, bis die Rückzahlung angestoßen werden kann – dafür bitten wir um Verständnis.

Nykypäivänä ei voi luottaa että vuokraisi yksityiseltä suoraan oikein mitään. Käytännössä pitää olla joku välitys firma välissä joka tarkistaa että oikeasti vuokrataan mitä luvataan

Stressful and frustrating
My experience with MyCamper has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
First of all, the majority of listings on the platform appear to be inaccurate. Many vehicles are shown as available for specific dates, but after making a booking request, you often find out that the camper is not actually available. This completely defeats the purpose of using an online booking platform and makes planning a trip unnecessarily stressful.
Secondly, the customer support is incredibly slow and often unhelpful. Getting a reply can take days, and even then, the responses are generic or do not address the issue properly. In cases where timely intervention is needed—such as cancellations or booking conflicts—the support team is simply not responsive or effective enough.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend MyCamper based on my experience. The platform feels unreliable, and the support lacks the efficiency and professionalism that travelers expect.

Can recommend using the platform, I felt well taken care of, there was an abundance of friendly-worded communication sharing reminders on how to interact with the owner, how to care for the vehicle etc.
The check in and check out process also felt well designed, so as a first time camper user and renter I felt very safe.

Had a nice trip to Lofoten. The platform did well in connecting me and the private owner, and guide both of us through the process og booking, pickup and drop off. All in all a nice experience.

MyCamper solves insurance worries
MyCamper is the only peer-to-peer rental platform that has an automatic & tailored insurance against damage incorporated seamlessly into their service. That's why MyCamper is the only option I would even consider. I would never dare to rent out my vehicle to anyone if there was a "what if" - the risks in case of damage would simply be to big. MyCamper managed to solve the issue for both the owner and the tenant so that it's safe and clear for parties.

Perfekt, sicher und empfehlenswert
Von Anfang an bis zum Abschluss fühlte ich mich durch myCamper.ch perfekt betreut und begleitet. Notwendige Tipps und Hinweise für eine sichere Übergabe beim Abholen und Zurückgeben des Fahrzeuges machten diese Miet-Erfahrung zu einem erfolgreichen Erlebnis. Die Fahrzeugübergabe wurde durch vor Ort zu machende Fotos begleitet. Die Rückgabe ebenso. Beide Vertragsparteien bestätigen die Bilder und alle Details. So kann es aus meiner Sicht kaum zu Problemen kommen. Es hat alles sehr gut geklappt und wir danken insbesondere dem Vermieter des Fahrzeuges. Ich kann diese „Miet-Plattform“sehr empfehlen.

I have rented my camper thru My Camper for a year. I'm very happy how well money is handled and how the start the of renting and ending the renting works with the app. All my customers has been very pleased with MyCamper and how it works. It really gives trust to all parties.
