Extraordinary attention to the customer, giving a good advice to choosing the right tyres for my car. Thank you for your generous service.

I went in for a pink slip inspection and a basic service. I had my pink slip and logbook service done here last year as well, mainly for convenience. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won’t be using them again and I’d like my pink slip fee refunded.

They failed the inspection for two issues.

First, they said the right-side low and high beam headlights weren’t working. However, if they had actually checked the bulbs, they would have seen that the bulb was slightly out of the socket. I’ve been driving on rough 4WD surfaces recently, so it likely just came loose.

Second, they failed the brake test. They said the rear left brake wasn’t grabbing properly compared to the right side. I asked how many times they tested it, and the front desk staff said five times. When he showed me the test results, the difference between passing and failing was only 0.5%.

I also mentioned that I had taken the car through a car wash right before the service and inspection. You could clearly see they had sprayed some kind of greasy, waxy product on the car and tyres. I asked whether that could have affected the brake test results, but they still failed the inspection.

After that, I drove the car around for a bit and booked another pink slip inspection at a different local garage two days later. It’s a very popular place locally, and they passed the car easily and provided the test results as well.

So based on this experience, I can’t say I’m impressed with Mycar.

Another thing I noticed is that when I had my logbook service done there last year, the car felt a bit off afterward — a couple of things didn’t seem to work properly, but eventually went back to normal. This year after the service I had a similar feeling. Something about the car just doesn’t feel quite right after their servicing. A service should make the car feel better, not worse.

On top of that, the front desk staff was quite annoying, constantly trying to upsell things I didn’t need.

Great service, advice and follow up on the service. They manage to squeeze me in for a tyre service on the same day and get it done within hours to get me back on the road. Only change 1 of the tyre but they cleaned all the wheels and tyres.
