I just wish to share my experience with the Chatswood mycar team. If you haven’t noticed by now, these guys really do their part in helping you, not only is it worth it’s time but also their attitude is appreciating. When you have gone to most mechanics across the southern stars nothing comes as close as the staff here at Alleyne Street Chatswood. They addressed my concerns and prompted the required (fixes) It was resolved within 48 hours. Price is fair and exceptional for the quality of work. Parts and labour were at market level but they accommodated me with some savings in the end. A big difference to my car now thanks to Arren and the guys!

Overall good experience. this is my second time visiting MyCar with my second car. i moved away from Lexus factory service after 10 years, satisfy with service.

I have used My Tyres & Auto services for a couple of years and referred at least 3-4 friends who have started using their services. However, lately I feel that everytime we get the car there for something (in this instance was a Pink Sleep check) there is always an attitude towards pushing some additional services using a “MUST DO” approach that feels questionable.
In this instance i received a call indicating that the rear screen wiper had to be replaced in order for me to pass the pick sleep check. Now providing that the car was last serviced in February this year (less then) 3 months ago and i haven’t used the wiper more than twice since with no signs or indications that this had any issue (and I am very aware of what the signs of deterioration are or what i need to look out for), but beside the point I received the call saying that unless I change this you would not pass my pink sleep, so I was very much forse to accept a $49 additional charge in order to get this passed. I usually do this small maintenance myself as i am quiet handy and familiar with car servicing, this particular part from Bosh cost under $15 if i buy it myself and probably even less for a large Auto place such as My Car & Auto, so to get charged $49 and not being given the option to do it myslef it didn’t go down well. I did raise this at the time i collect the vehicle and was given the story about the part being expensive, original Bosh, to which i have already indicated the cost above. I suggest you watch out with this “push sales approach” as people are not silly and they will lose trust.

A friend if mine that i refereed to you as well and whom got his car serviced there before took his car in on the same day as i did for his Pink Sleep, he was told that you would not pass his pink sleep unless he changed his tyres and quoted him and astronomical amount for the replacement. He had his car serviced with you just 2-3 weeks before and he was told that the tyres were still fine and he had at least 5,000km on it (since then he had done under 500lm on the car). Not happy or convinced of the response he got from My Car in Chatswood he took his var to a different mechanic who confirmed that he still had 5,000km on the tyres and told him that it was unjustified not to pass the vehicle. He also provided a quote for replacing the tyres and it was over $100 cheaper per tyre.

My point is that in the same day and two different instances the approach was the same, obviously this is something that is driven not by the actual requirement for the vehicle and safety etc, but clearly on generating additional revenues by misleading and misinforming the clients.

Not the approach you want to have in this current market where things are tight and people look at the dollar, aside that not a very ethical approach.

I started using this place because your orignal approach was the exact opposite, this change is making me consider if I still trust the service

2nd BYD 40K service, very happy with the outcome and software update. Faster turn around than promised.

Arren and the mechanics at Chatswood mycar are fantastic to deal with. He is very knowledgeable and always so helpful and responsive. My husband and I take both of our cars for servicing and tyres there - so happy to have found them.
