Fantastic experience, completed job earlier than expected - great outcome

Convenient location inside a shopping centre. So you can shopping while your tyres being replaced. Good price, good service

I had booked my car in for the ‘Essential Car Service’, intending for the mechanic to spend some time to recommend me what I could do to keep my car in a better shape for the future. Instead, I felt that I had paid extra to give MyCar an opportunity to upsell pricey services that I didn’t really need. I say this based on;

- I was recommended to change my tyres as ‘they were on the way out’, and that I should change the front two over with similar quality tyres to match my current set. Quoted: $570

I was very surprised as I know for a fact that the tyres are not old (3 years after replacing), and that the car had not been driven excessively (20,000km) since having them changed.

- Replacing my windscreen wiper mechanism, which apparently I need to do each year as they only last 1 year. Quite to replace both front and back wipers - $250 I have never been recommended this action with any of my previous cars I had owned.

MyCar did flag that I should replace my front brakes (Quoted $647) which was a legitimate recommendation, however I was dubious with the other recommendations and decided to take my car elsewhere to have them replaced.

I had paid $443 to replace the oil, oil filter, and the air filter.

I had taken the car to have the brakes replaced elsewhere, and had asked for a second opinion on what I had been advised regarding the tyres, and the tyres were fine. MyCar did not check my brake fluid, which was in severe need of replacement, as the brake fluid had congealed to a black jelly on the brake fluid cap. The 2 brakes (RDA), and brake fluid replacement cost $300 including labor.

MyCar Doncaster, you don’t mind overcharging for your services, but you are not interested in doing a job that matches what you charge. It was a very trust diminishing experience.

I would not go back and am actively warning other people that if you truly wanted to look after your car, then it is worth disregarding the convenience and spending the time to find a mechanic that you can better trust.

Was told 30 mins - after 2 and a half hours when we enquired again they then realised no one was asked to do the Job and started - had to cancel appointments and waited for over 3.5 hours to get the job don - and then excuses that the time given is only indicative - no remorse - pathetic

Goldy was really good. Helpful! Honest! Very understanding. Having not used the Doncaster sight for a while..... I'm very happy with the new team there and have already booked my 2nd car in already!

Car took all day (from 11:20am to nearly 5pm) after promised it would only be two hours at the most. There was no service in the reception area. And I had to then pay for all day parking at Doncaster because of how long they took which gave the expensive service (including taking the day off work last minute because of not being able to GO to work) another kick. Sorry to be the one to give this feedback, just writing my experience. The staff seemed nice though. Won’t come back unfortunately.

Was roundly abused by David. Customer Service very poor. Phone system is unusable. Have used MyCar for 10 years.Never again.

My car very busy Monday left my car as I had a problem with tyre pressure. They quoted at least 2 hours but was done quickly and under that time. No puncture but they spent some time checking tyres, no charge. I can't recommend them more highly

The guy was accurate and they keep contacting me about the vehicle requirements.

Not very friendly, I found out they have very low knowledge about my Tyre and how the online booking works.
