New cleaners poorly trained, damaged apartment

I've been using myclean for years and previously I've had great experiences, but I've cancelled my service going forward because of three bad experiences in a row. The cleaner who had been coming to my apartment regularly left myclean, and it appears they have not done a good job of training new staff. First, a cleaner damaged my rug and left my bathroom a mess by knocking down my shower caddy and shower curtain rod. The next appointment we had to cancel because the cleaner was over 30 minutes late. I gave them one more try and the cleaner did significant damage to my floor by pushing or dragging my couch. I'm waiting to hear back if they will do anything to help me repair the damage. Sad that I need to find a new cleaning company.

Thanks for responding to our survey. I am sorry we have not found a good fit for you since your previous cleaner left MyClean. Both your previous cleaners have been with us for several years. It appears that their mistakes were mistakes of effort (i.e., dragging a couch). I apologize.

I see that our COO Kenny has reached out to make sure the damage issue is addressed in a timely and professional manner.

I would love the opportunity to hand-pick a cleaner for you and make sure we get your regular cleaning back on track. As noted, you've been with us for several years. We have many great cleaners, and we want to do all we can to find someone who is a better fit than your last cleaners.

Definitely Five Stars

Our MyClean helper Lauren is really great. Thorough, always willing to go the extra mile, good humored with us and our dogs. Whenever there have been logistical or other issues with the service, management is responsive, attentive and addresses our needs. We are satisfied and loyal customers.

Easy and Reliable

Always easy to book and get in touch. If there is ever a scheduling issue, we are notified immediately and given options. Our cleaner, Victoria is the absolute best and we love her. She does amazing work and is delight. Best experience we've had with a cleaning service in Chicago.

Most cleaning ladies / gentlemen that …

Most cleaning ladies / gentlemen that cleaned our apartment have done a fantastic job. Only wish the price is a bit cheaper and there is a way to follow the favorite cleaning person's schedule automatically rather than having to double check each time.

With regard to pricing, we offer discounts for flexible scheduling. I see that you leave your key with a doorman. If you are flexible between 9am and 4pm, you will be eligible for additional discounts.

With regard to your requested cleaner, me and my staff are happy to work with you to find a day and time that works for your favorite cleaner. I see that you've had your regular cleaner for several cleans (though we have not heard that you specifically request her).

Stop wasting time with other services

I went through several other cleaning services before a friend recommended Myclean and I've been with them ever since. Their staff is courteous and customer service is professional and hassle free. My apartment is sparkly clean every month! That's the best part!

I have been very happy with Myclean

I have been very happy with Myclean. My regular cleaner (Victoria) is a lovely, conscientious person. Communication with the Chicago office (Ross) has been efficient and good: all in all, very satisfied!

Excellent Company!

I have a long history with MyClean Chicago now, and I honestly would feel safe and comfortable recommending them to anyone who wants a trustworthy company to do a great job cleaning your home. This company is receptive to questions and changes, and are active and helpful in both their response time and in getting things resolved. MyClean cared to work with me until I found a cleaner that I love (and I LOVE the cleaner I have now) and now I just look forward to someone showing up and doing a stupendous job.

First cleans were wonderful but quality …

First cleans were wonderful but quality and thoroughness decreased over time. I keep them because it's an adequate job, but mainly because the process for scheduling online is REALLY easy and it's too hard to find and schedule new cleaners.

I understand that you took a few months off, and that your most recent full clean was interrupted by a family emergency with the cleaner (that happened the day before). I also see that we discounted that clean and scheduled a reclean, but that the reclean wasn't up to previous standards.

Our COO Kenny said that the plan is to schedule a new regular cleaner next week then follow up to make sure your needs are met. Please let me know if there is anything I can do now or in the future to serve you better.

The price is too high for the quality …

The price is too high for the quality of service. I have been a customer of MyClean for years, mostly due to lack of time to test out a better service, but my monthly cleanings are consistently just average. A few cleaners have been better than others, and over the years I've had a few serious issues with some cleaners, and to their credit MyClean has tried to remedy the situation each time I've had an issue. But the bottom line is that $94.72 (plus tip) is exorbitantly high for the quality of cleaning. Usually the cleaning is superficial at best, and for that price I'd expect a pretty deep cleaning.

Often times I find dust under/around …

Often times I find dust under/around furniture after cleanings. Otherwise I am very happy with my clean.

Efficient and professional

After a shaky start more than two years ago, MyClean has improved its act enormously, IMO. The cleaners are consistently very professional, and only need minimal instructions. The customer service operators are very courteous, and prompt in meeting requests. I thoroughly recommend this company.

Mediocre, not amazing.

So far, haven't had a perfect clean after 5 months. Nearly there with my first cleaner, but then she left MyClean. Second cleaner didn't mop floors (I know because dirty mop pad was not nearly as dirty as when I mop, so I mopped with the pad she left to see if it picked anything up, and it was as if the floors were untouched). I keep the house usually very clean, so bi-weekly clean is usually a maintenance clean and extra elbow grease for the tough-to-do-daily chores, but I find those things go undone even after I specifically request them (along baseboards dusted, 2 air vents vacuumed).

I have reviewed your account. It appears that you've had bi-weekly cleans scheduled for several months, but have cancelled several cleans and only had cleans two weeks apart once. As a result, our cleaners likely have focused on standard cleaning, consistent with our checklist.

I also see that you have some notes added (water mopping, no shoes, clean vents). We have found that our happiest clients find a regular cleaner, then provide feedback to tailor the clean. This is particularly true when there are special requests not normally covered by our checklist.

I see that Kenny our COO has reached out to help get us back on track. Please respond here if there is anything else we can do to ensure we better meet your needs in the future.

Great Customer Service

Most of the cleaners I've booked through MyClean do a great job. However, and probably most importantly to me, MyClean has great customer service. They have always been extremely responsive and have had fast replies any time I've had an issue (cleaner broke something, did a poor job, etc.) and they always work with me until I'm satisfied. A bit more expensive than their competitors, but usually well-worth the premium.

Tesha is great

Tesha is great! We have had two other people that didn't work out. It's always nice to come home to a clean house. We are please with the job that is done for the package that we have. I have had all positive communication with the office staff as well, including Ross.

Awesome services!

The customer service from the housecleaner, the customer service from the phone, and the customer service from the managers all have been invaluable, professional, and above all, human. They made me feel special and a valued part of their family, not just another client.
