Heliopetra Studios is an extremely nice place. Well maintained and located in a very nice spot in a charming village. In addition the neighboring Taverna serves excellent traditional food. We simply loved the place.

The service of owner, staff and agent is impeccable. Very helpful and responsive.

One thing to mention is that the beds are not soft. My family had rented the entire place for a week and some from the group were were having a stiff back in the morning. Something to mind for people that are a bit sensitive to comfort of beds.

We had a wonderful stay in Angela's house in Ravdoucha, Crete, less than an hour from Chania. Remote enough to have peace, access to a nearly private beach. Great house, incredible location, canoës to discover the coast. Warm welcome from Giannis, Theodore and Spirus. We thoroughly loved the place!

I recently stayed at Anna’s studio run by Konstantina and Theodore in Douliana as part of a retreat I was holding there. The studios were incredible, spacious, clean, fantastic swimming pool, the communications were excellent. Very friendly and just a really beautiful space. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Wir durften eine Woche (Sommer '23) in diesem wunderbaren Haus über dem Meer verbringen. Hier genießt man nicht nur phantastische Sonnenuntergänge. Die private Badestelle bietet sich zum Schnorcheln, Schwimmen oder einfach nur zum Entspannen und Genießen an. Wir fühlten uns von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute mehr als willkommen. Die Gastgeber sind überaus herzlich, haben uns mit einem gut gefüllten Kühlschrank sowie mit frischem Gemüse und Obst aus dem heimischen Garten empfangen - und sogar während des Urlaubs weiterversorgt :-). Die Woche verging leider viel zu schnell und wir möchten Eleni und Nikos nochmals unseren großen Dank für diese wundervolle Zeit und ihre einzigartige Gastfreundschaft aussprechen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier Urlaub machen und können das Haus sehr empfehlen.

We rented a house called Douliana dream. everything was at the highest level, clean, everything as described. beautiful village and surroundings. very functional swimming pool and helpful owner. I recommend 100/. I will gladly go back there again!

Beautiful secluded place with its own swimming nook. The owner Nikos and his daughter Eleni were charming and so generous. Warm figs, fruit and vegetable deliveries; nothing was too hard. The views were amazing. A small taverna down the hill and another a beautiful walk away by a pebbly beach. Close to Chania but also far enough away to be totally peaceful.

Wir durften eine herrliche Woche in Nikolaos Haus verbringen. Es ist einfach gehalten aber traumhaft angelegt. Man meint in jeder Ecke und auf jeder Terrasse die kretische Seele zu verspüren. Alles ist mit Liebe gestaltet, es gibt sogar einen Grill- u. Badeplatz. Man möchte am liebsten gar nicht zu Ausflügen aufbrechen, weil es so schön ist. Eine perfekte Gelegenheit für Menschen die abseits vom Trubel in Kreta eintauchen und Sonne, Wasser, Salz und Felsen mit allen Sinnen erleben wollen. Mike & Familie

The Studio was very well located, in a small village but only 10min from the first beach. Chania is at about 30min car . The appartment is very quite, you have everything you need, there is a taverna close to the appartements and you can have very good food at affordable prices. The swimming pool is very pleasant. We could arrive and take the appartment at 12pm and there was everything for the breakfast (milk, tea, coffee, home made cake ! ). Very clean and the owner Anna very reactive if we had some questions. I recommand

This is a wonderful peaceful place to stay.the view is fantastic and the owners are super kind and generous and gave us a variety of homegrown fruits and vegetables-best avocados and oranges we had

The house in Ravdoucha was like something from a dream, and we truly never wanted to leave. Nikos, Eleni, Kostas, and Theodore did much to make the place feel like a home for us during our week-long stay. In the words of Odysseus Elytis: "forever this small world the Great!"

Sejour trés bien passé. Maison trés agréable dans le centre d'un petit village à l'écart du monde.Un café juste à coté pour les cafés freddo ou le raki en fin de soirée. Superbe piscine. Anna et le site sont présents en cas de besoin. trés bien. Nous recommanderons la maison d'Anna.

Our stay at Sofia’s house was way more than expected. She is a wonderful, pleasant and helpful person with much knowledge of the island. The location was perfect with access to everything we needed from a supermarket to amazing restaurants. The house is beautiful and well maintained in a very peaceful setting. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Santorini. We did not have an international drivers license, however, Sofia was able to arrange a rental car delivered right to our door for less than what a rental agency was and we were able to rent without the international license, now that is service! Cannot say enough wonderful things about this rental experience.

Ravdoucha. What a nice appartment with such a beautiful sea view. We loved the place. It is so nice to walk down to the private rock beach and cooling down in the cristal clear water. Eleni and Nikos are very kind and helpful. There is a lot of food and drinks when you arrive.
On the site of myhousetorent you also find tips for excursions. We have done two of them and we really liked them very much. So we can advise to look there too.

We have found this gem on the crete sea and were very excited to go and visit in May 2020 and then corona came and blew all plans from the table. We made a downpayment before already and we couldnt go due to corona restrictions at first. They were very understanding. We got a voucher so we could make the reservation later when corona would be gone or managed. Unfortunately for us corona and now the war changed the entire economical (and medical) situation. Which made it impossible to go at all. According to the terms the owners of this property didn't have to refund us based on the letters. Yet they are decent good people who understand the personal situation which came with corona times and I feel they deserve all the business they are getting. We hope we can still visit when times improve somewhere in the future. I really want to still, it's a great spot with warm people. I am personally sad it had to end up like this. Thank you Giannis and Theodore for being good warm people, I wish you nothing but the best. You deserve that and more!

We were for the second time in the beautiful Heliopetra apartments in a very green and well-kept garden with olive trees and pomegranate trees among others. The pool is very well maintained and always crystal clear. The apartments are large and all have their own small terrace. The owner is super nice and cares about the well-being of her guests. The price-performance ratio is exceptional. In the village itself there are two taverns, both of which are highly recommended. One of them is directly adjacent to the apartments and you are virtually there in less than a minute. The ocean can be reached by car in 10 minutes. The next village by the sea, Kalyves, is very nice, as it is a healthy mixture of locals and some tourism. Sun beds are available for free if you consume. At the western end of the village there is a super breakfast cafe namely Café Cactus. Both Chania and Rethymno are easy to reach by car and always worth a trip. In summary: Excellent place to stay if you want to enjoy the somewhat quieter Cretan lifestyle to the fullest.
