Service not provided. Taxi did not come.

They dont pay their drivers and also dont respond to them when asking for payment , horrible customer service , they also charge alot to their customers and give very less to drivers

Absolute NO! They are not reliable and causing stress . Playing lots of tricks to get more money out of your pocket! Do not respond to your messages when they should and blame technical issues!! Stressful experience . NO

I booked this taxes company for mine and my sister's holiday journey.
We found very reliable comfortably and professional.
The taxi going to/from middlesbrough via Sheffield and on to London were very comfortable and socialable

Booked so I could get to my destination, all confirmed and then I get a whatsapp message on the next day to say the system pricing was wrong and I need to pay an extra £40 for a trip that was £90. I said cancel it, they then said oh we cam reduce to £115, no thanks, scammers, dont use these scammers. False advertising will be reported!

Booking online was easy but be cautious of the “discount”. Used Mytaxe for the 1st time for 2 long distance trips from London to Ellesmere(1/11) and Ellesmere to Liverpool(8/11) The 1st trip was smooth. Although driver was late by 20 mins but called in advance and explained that he will be late due to traffic. Driver was courteous. On 2nd trip from Ellesmere to Liverpool, it was totally unacceptable & disappointment. Was informed 45 mins before pickup time(11 am) that the price will be jacked up by an extra £20 and the remaining 70%+extra £20 must be paid immediately if not the booking will be cancelled with the 30% deposit refund. Was told that the driver demands the “extra”. Left with no option but to pay the FULL fare +extra £20.
After full payment was made…10mins later was informed that the booking was cancelled. Left with no choice but to wait for Mytaxe to re-book a new ride. After more than 1 hour later (12.10), the driver from local hirer company arrived. The new hirer requested FULL cash in advance. Called MyTaxe and was told to pay for the new ride in cash to the local driver and MyTaxe will refund the full amount minus the booking fee of £10.
I am not sure of the +ve reviews on their website but my experience shown otherwise. Maybe for London rides. At the pt of writing, I am still waiting for my refund of £160 minus £10 for booking fee. 😂. I may need to “re-do” my review to 1 star(unfortunately there is no 0 star) if I do not get my refund back soon

I try to avoid leaving negative reviews as I understand that issues can arise in any industry — what really matters is how those issues are handled.

On Saturday 25th, we had a pre-booked return taxi scheduled for 10:00am. The evening before, I received a call to double-check the arrangements, which we confirmed. However, on Saturday morning at 9:43am, I received another call advising that the original driver had cancelled and that a new driver would require an additional £35 for the outgoing journey.

The call handler was unprofessional and terminated the call three times during our conversation. After initially refusing to pay the extra charge, I had no real alternative but to agree, as we needed to travel to a ticketed event. When I asked if the new driver could still arrive for the agreed 10:00am pick-up, I was told it would be a further 45 minutes, meaning we would be significantly delayed.

No apology was given for the cancellation, poor communication, or inconvenience. As a result, we had to arrange alternative transportation at short notice, which caused us to miss the initial part of our event.

I paid an initial deposit and have since received an email stating that a refund will be processed, though I have yet to see the funds in my account.

As mentioned, I understand that operational issues can occur — especially in the travel industry — but the way this situation was handled was extremely disappointing and well below the level of professionalism expected.

Absolutely avoid at all costs , booked today for early hours just been told late tonight they can’t send the driver . It was young girls to get them home safe . Never again . Says 24/7 service , appalling service . I should have read the reviews . They left voice mail and then said no one to take call . Bet there isn’t ! These guys need reported !!!

The driver is professional, the car is comfortable

Booking a taxi was easy and quick, however the rest was a nightmare. Although they said they'd send the driver details before my trip, they send it during my flight. When I arrived, and after 30' from the scheduled time, and a couple of attempts to reach out from whatsup or their landline, I took another taxi for my trip.
During my ride the appointed taxi driver called me and was asking me why I didn't call him and that 30' wait time is typical!!!
Update: I eventually received my refund, so hopefully they'll improve their services too.

Avoid at all cost
I asked for quote in April.and still being harassed in sept as a registered blind woman who wanted help to transport her friends ashes so he could be buried at sea by the navy in portsmouth this is unacceptable behaviour i didn't take the quote as they were too pushy but they emailing and calling for money avoid these scam artists

Website doesn’t work. Tried at several different times but it came up with an error page when you had spent time putting all the info in. Useless.

Very poor service from this company. I recommend avoiding them.
The actual cost is not what was quoted, and the driver asked for additional money, too.

Also the level of cleaning and hygiene was very poor

I must raise a serious concern regarding the transfers.
On the first ride from the airport (approx. 1.5h), the vehicle was in very poor condition, making the journey uncomfortable.
Even more concerning, on the return transfer the driver went directly to the airport instead of the hotel at the agreed pick-up time, which put the passengers at real risk of missing the flight.
Ultimately, the service was cancelled with no alternative provided.
This level of service is unacceptable, and we cannot rely on this provider again under such circumstances.

Booked a round trip to and from Leeds Festival 2 weeks in advance via their WhatsApp chat.

They asked that I pay 100% upfront and I declined as I had not used them before, best decision! I paid a 35% deposit when I booked via a stripe link they sent over.

Problems started when I got two emails the day before my booking that they had not received my payment. I called and they referred me to a WhatsApp chat where it took too long to find my payment (even after I sent screenshots of the payment). Eventually they found the payment and confirmed the booking.

I asked for details of the driver but did not receive any response that day. Chased up the next day (day of the pickup) but still, no details…kept saying they’d send it over. Also asked multiple times when to pay the outstanding amount for the booking but they ignored this (this is important).

15 minutes before the pickup time I started messaging and eventually calling but they could not provide details of the driver, just kept saying the driver would be there “in 5 minutes”. They eventually sent details of the driver but unsurprisingly, the number did not connect.

Kept calling and kept being told the driver would be there in 5 minutes. Driver eventually showed up 30 minutes after the booking time without apology.

After drop off, I got a call telling me they’d cancelled the return trip. I think they never planned to complete this hence the refusal to take the outstanding payment. Thankfully the service was so bad that I had made alternative arrangements for the return trip as I just knew they would let me down. They would have left my family and I stranded.

Needless to say, I will never use this company again. They did refund half of the deposit for the cancelled trip.

I can understand challenges getting a driver to make the trip because of traffic but there is no excuse for the terrible communication, lies and their decision to cancel the trip without prior warning when I’m certain they decided this even before picking us up.

Car service was prompt; the company itself was easy to work with and our driver was excellent. Totally recommend.

A little panic because the trains to New Castle did’t ride from Edinburgh.
They drove us safeley to our boat. Very friendly and perfect driving. We made it on the boat on time. Thank you so much!
