Neurokinex made me tighten my shoe laces. This may not seem like a big deal do people with no experience of Spinal Cord injury and disability, however for those of us unable to walk unaided, this means a lot. Usually my feet are inactive appendages that are dragged around, limply banging off walls and door frames. NeuroKinex's focus on standing exercise and high intensity activity meant that for the first time in over a year I had to think about my footwear, and my feet, as any "healthy" person does.

I have been undergoing rehab therapy at Neuro Kinex for 6 months now, the staff are fantastic and the space is well equipped. I am making slow but steady progress and leave every session with a buzz of endorphins and sense of achievement. I have not been able to experience the community of SCI athletes so much due to the Covid lockdown, but I m looking forward to this as we ease out of lock down. Would heartily endorse to other SCIs in the south west of england

I’ve been attending Neurokinex Watford/Hemel since my hospital discharge late 2016, and the physio I receive far exceeds anything I got in rehab. Steve keeps me going with balance control, cardio workouts and strength training. The whole team are welcoming and the atmosphere is so friendly. So whilst the sessions can be exhausting, and least you’ll have a smile on your face!

I acquired a T12/L1 incomplete injury in July 2015. My prognosis was not great. I started at Neurokinex in Watford in January 2016 after leaving hospital.

I now attend the Gatwick centre as it is nearer to me. The team there are fantastic! They are professional, knowledgable and, above all, have compassion and feel like a family.

My experience in hospital was not good as there was a distinct lack of hope. At Neurokinex anything is possible. I have progressed so much and am continuing to progress.

You have to believe in yourself and work hard. I know, that without a doubt, I would not have achieved what I have done without the commitment and input from the Neurokinex team.

This place has been invaluable to us since my son left hospital with a Spinal Cord Injury. He arrived just about to walk and they’ve progressed him quickly to starting to run, get on a bike and kick a football. He loves the sporty and fun environment and the friendliness and expertise of the staff.

Following a fall, I am now permanently paralysed and confined to a wheelchair. Life is not easy and it's absolutely vital to keep fit and healthy if possible. Simply pushing a wheelchair is not always the best answer with damage to shoulders being the obvious fallout. Neurokinex offer a range of professional experience by trained professionals giving targeted exercise and relief/manipulation when necessary. Their equipment is comprehensive and general approach, excellent. I would recommend anyone leaving hospital whether disabled or not to use Neurokinex and earnestly believe that they should form part of the NHS hospital exit strategy.

I've been attending Neurokinex Gatwick for 15 months with a C5/C6 SCI and have made the most amazing progress - more than I would have ever thought possible. A tailor-made programme of exercises put together by my designated trainer has enabled me to improve my mobility, independence and confidence, in a safe and friendly environment. All the trainers, without exception, are dedicated, professional and highly skilled. In a nutshell "they really know their stuff!", and they make the sessions fun too!

I have used Neurokinex Gatwick since December 2018 after a spinal cord injury. The staff are fantastic, they are incredibly knowledgable, friendly and compassionate. Using FES I have been able to restore function in my arm which was totally paralysed. This has made so much difference to my life, thank you you are all incredible.

I am so incredibly grateful to have found Neurokinex Gatwick. Being released from rehabilitation during a pandemic meant that all NHS services such as physio etc weren’t available to me. Neurokinex has literally saved me. The staff are amazing; positive attitudes with a ‘can do’ approach to life but with enough skill to know when you might be struggling with what the world is throwing at you. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I have been attending Neurokinex weekly for over a year now. I love the positive helpful atmosphere there and my therapist does a great job of keeping me moving, motivated and out of a wheelchair.

I have been using Neurokinex at Hemel/Watford for several years since suffering left sided hemiplegia as a result of a brain tumour in 2014.Neurokinex offered one to one tailored rehabilitation in a friendly and safe environment. The gym is very well equipped and the trainers are supportive, knowledgeable and friendly. A measure of the quality provided is my huge improvement whilst attending for one or two sessions a week.

I have been coming here on and off since September 2017. It is brilliant for people who suffer from Spinal Cord Injuries and other neurological problems. I have been quadriplegic since September 2016 and my trainers have really helped me physically, socially and emotionally. Would definitely recommend to anyone, no matter your age or difficulty.

Wonderful team and excellent facilities. This is a unique Neuro and Physio rehabilitation and development center.

Everything is clean, well organised, nice. The personal trainers from there is very nice and helpful, also they pushing you in exercises to archive your goals.

I have been been attending Neurokinex since January 2016 after my Spinal Cord Injury in Feb 2015. Since I have attended my strength has improve in my arms and legs and so have my transfers. The staff who work there are very experienced in this field and are an asset to Neurokinex Team.

I readily recommend Neurokinex for anyone affected by spinal cord injury. I found a professional and friendly environment where excercises and workouts are tailored to my individual needs, with further advice for home excercises. My budget doesn't allow me to attend as frequently as I should, but this has to be weighed against the real benefits to be had.
