Lottie from Niarra Travel did a fantastic job of organizing our trip to South Africa and tailoring it to our tastes and preferences. The booking and payment process was extremely easy and straightforward, and all of our hotels and experiences on our trip were as described or better! We would definitely use Niarra travel again in the future!

My husband and I are so glad we found Niarra to book our first trip to Africa (Tanzania and Zanzibar)! We were hoping for a luxury, safe, and stress free experience but really weren’t sure what to expect. We were blown away with the accommodations and level of care that went into planning our trip. From the minute we arrived we were taken care of and never had to worry about what was going to happen next. We stayed at the Arusha Coffee Lodge for one night before beginning our safari at two different camps run by the Asilia group: The Highlands at Ngorongoro Crater and Sayari Camp in the northern Serengeti. Both were unique and beautiful properties with 5 star staff, accommodations, and food. We had phenomenal safari experiences at each camp and really appreciated having our own guide/vehicle for the duration of the trip. We also really love Niarra’s philosophy of giving back to the local communities in Africa and how they value conservation. We are already looking forward to booking our next trip!

Emily and Lottie were truly amazing to work with! We started our honeymoon planning, talking about budget and our adventure level. We were given a few options and countries in East Africa that fit exactly what we were looking for. We were even given recommendations like the gorilla trek and golden monkey hike in Uganda, that we didn't know were options! As we got closer to our travel date, Lottie shared important vaccination, visa apps, and packing information. We felt like everything was smooth sailing. At our arrival to Entebbe, Uganda, we were taken care of at the hand picked guesthouse and hotels, the hospitality was overwhelmingly familial. We felt at home, in a foreign country! When we flew on a small plane into Kenya, we spent a few days in the Mara North Conservancy at Saruni Wild, which was a life-changing and emotional part of our trip. We saw so many animals, lions, lion cubs, leopards, a cheetah, wildebeest, topi, thompson antelopes, hyenas, elephants, hundreds of birds, mamba, and we spent a day at the Rhino santuary. There are freshly prepared food and beverage service at camp, the service was incredible. We relaxed for one night in Nairobi before heading back home to NYC. We are so grateful and lucky for Lottie, thank you for Niarra on being the most trustworthy and best tour operator we had the pleasure of working with. We hope to work with you again when we bring our kids!

Charlie was amazing! We gave her a vision for our perfect honeymoon and she went above and beyond planning our dream honeymoon in Kenya. We spent half our trip on safari, saw all of the big 5 (aside from rhinos) and more. We “camped” at a completely sustainable camp ground in the Maasai Mara. The second half was planned relaxing on the coat of Kenya, Diani beach. From the people, to the food, and the transportation, everything was perfect! From the second we landed in Kenya, there was not a single hiccup. Charlie planned every single thing for us, there wasn’t a moment where we weren’t sure what to do. 10000% recommend having Charlie and Nairra plan your trip to Kenya!

I had never thought of going on a safari and really had no idea what to expect, but our experience with Niarra was absolutely amazing!

We (me, parents, sisters and husbands, and sisters' children) went to South Africa and Zimbabwe, with short stays in Cape Town and two game lodges. Every step of the trip was planned out to run smoothly for us, from being greeted and escorted through security at the three different airports to being fed way too much delicious food prepared to order just for us at each of our stops.

The accommodations were lavish and beautiful, and we had the pleasure of enjoying wildlife all around us in the evenings (baboons and warthogs right in the yard, and elephants and zebras not far away)!

The guides on the game drives were very knowledgeable, and with their assistance we were able to see all of the major animals, including a leopard hiding in some rocks and enjoying a delicious antelope carcass.

Tess and Emily were fantastic -- reaching out to us periodically to make sure we had everything we needed, and encouraging us to contact them with any sort of problem we ran into.

I have been telling my friends that a safari will truly be the trip of a lifetime, and if any of them decide to go for it, I'll absolutely recommend Niarra to them.

Tess at Niarra Travel did a great job of listening to my needs and finding accommodations on pretty short notice. She arranged a spectacular safari experience including a couple of guided hikes. The Arusha Coffee lodge was a great place to get started, followed by stays at Asilia facilities in Ngorongoro Crater and at a Serengeti migration camp. The people of Asilia were warm and welcoming. We witnessed a lion hunt, a crocodile kill, and much, much more! There were a lot of logistics, including travel via small planes to remote sites. We were met at each location and shepherded to our camps. Everything worked out as planned. An experience of a lifetime!

They are very responsive with prep planning and while on the trip-having a direct whats app contact in the country I was in with quick response time was helpful for any travel questions I had. They also pick great lodges to stay in that supports ecotourism. This is my second trip with Niarra, and I would recommend them to anyone

Niarra Travel arranged an amazing three-generations safari trip for our family. Emily and Tess and the folks in South Africa made this trip a dream, including helping us out when our luggage didn't make it all the way with us. My husband and I just returned from an absolutely unforgettable honeymoon, and we have Niarra to thank, especially Rebecca and Josh. From the moment we started planning, they made us feel right at home, handling every detail of our dream trip to South Africa and Mozambique in June with such warmth and expertise.

Rebecca and Josh were amazing partners in crafting the perfect itinerary for us. They listened to our hopes and dreams and turned them into a beautiful blend of adventure, relaxation, and romance. From the incredible safaris in South Africa to the peaceful beaches in Mozambique, every moment felt like pure magic for us. My husband and I booked with Niarra for an East African safari in Kenya and gorilla trekking in Uganda. From the very moment our plane landed in Nairobi, we felt very taken care of; everything from ground transportation, domestic flights, permits, hot air balloon ride, and accommodations were arranged so we truly did not have to worry about a thing! We appreciated the high standard for accommodations at each of our 3 different lodges. Each lodge was comfortable with exceptional food and personable staff. We also appreciated that each lodge arranged for us focused on giving back to the communities and had a major emphasis on wildlife conservation; 2 things that are very important to us.

The only reason we did not rate 5 stars is because we did have some difficulties with communication with the team prior to the trip. When we were in the early stages of planning, we were contacted promptly after our initial inquiry and from that point forward, responses seemed delayed for our expectations (often >2 business days) and on some instances we felt forgotten about until we reached out first. I do hope Niarra addresses this with the team, as we were very close to cancelling our trip with them entirely and had actually contacted a few other travel agencies in the process because we had not heard back from them in over a week on more than one occasion. One other minor thing that occurred was that we were misquoted for a gorilla trek (over double the price), which, if we didn't catch the mistake, could have resulted in us choosing to spend one less night in Uganda which would have been disappointing. Understandably, mistakes happen and it didn't affect our trip at all.

Ultimately, we were very pleased with Niarra, despite some minor communication issues, because our trip was an absolutely memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We will definitely be booking with them in the future!

We had booked our honeymoon through Niarra & Tess was our guide through the entire process. She made it an absolute breeze! Tess took our general ideas and really honed in on exactlyyyy what we wanted. She curated a honeymoon full of adventure and relaxation. Spending time in South Africa — we embarked on a safari that was indescribable through Kruger National Park. After the rush - a remote peninsula in Mozambique is where we concluded our honeymoon and dipped our toes in the sand! While I could go on and on… know that Tess and Niarra can make whatever trip you’re dreaming of a possibility!

Working with Charlie at Niarra to book our dream trip to South Africa was a fantastic experience that we have already recommended to many friends and family!

We are the type of people that typically want to research and book our own accommodations, but it's clear that Charlie and Niarra did an incredible job, far above and beyond what we would've been able to do on our own.

Every single second of the experience was planned and executed flawlessly despite being a logistically complex trip. As a result, we were able to kick back and enjoy the experience without worrying about what comes next, who would be there to pick us up, or if we were going astray in some way. A proper holiday!

The communication before, during, and after the trip was clear, consistent, and comprehensive. Every question we had was answered beyond expectation and gave us confidence going into the trip that everything was sorted. And, if anything were to pop up, we knew we could reach out via the 24/7 in-region contact if needed. A wonderful peace of mind that we didn't need to use, but was comforting to know it was there.

We can't recommend Niarra enough and are looking forward to our next outing through them!

I booked my first ever African safari through Niarra and it was an amazing experience! Lottie and the team at Niarra are very organized and accommodating--from the planning phase throughout the trip and afterward. I spent nine days in three different locations throughout Botswana, and the logistics were seamless--internal transfers and moving to and from different camps was stress free. I traveled solo, and felt completely safe and comfortable, which allowed me to just enjoy the fabulous scenery and wildlife of Botswana. Highlights were seeing loads of animals at Moremi Game Reserve and the over-the-top service and hospitality I experienced at the lodges. I can't wait to return to Africa, and I plan to use Niarra for my next trip as well!

We had the most amazing honeymoon end to end! All the lodges were amazing, from the ambiance to the staff. We loved gorilla heights lodge as well as all of our Asilia lodges! Lottie helped us plan the most amazing honeymoon. When we wanted to change our vehicle in Tarangire, Lottie was so responsive and helped us through the changes and we were all set before we arrived at camp. We’d highly recommend Lottie and Niarra, thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!

Without writing an entire book out, I cannot express how grateful and lovely Rebecca was with Niarra. Even though there were extenuating circumstances that happened on our end as travelers and we weren't able to go on our trip, Rebecca went above and beyond to help us work with our credit card company to get a refund. Her whole team was very accommodating and understanding of our situation and did everything they could. Once we are able to travel again, we will be booking through this company for our Africa trip!
