A great place run by really experienced people. It is indeed a well-oiled machine. It's recommendable to start out with an intensive course and then switch to one-to-one/online classes if need be.

The ambiance puts you at ease with language-learning right away - plus there'll be a lot of people in the same boat. As a beginner one is able to say a few words and apply the language, right off the bat.

The courses are laid out like a story, making it fun and accessible. Cultural and historical facts about food and local history are highlighted shared throughout the course.

I have been studying with "That's Mandarin" through NihaoCafe for about a year now. It has been a wonderful experience.

Day 1, when I reached out, they set up a meet and greet to assess my level and connected me to my current teacher. The admin side of things is great to work with, everyone is knowledgeable and friendly.

My teacher is amazing, and the most patient person I have ever met. She adapted quickly to the level I was at, and constantly monitors my progress to keep the material at a solid pace. She makes speaking practice easy and comfortable. She explains everything clearly and at a level that makes sense.

The material itself has its ups and downs. I like the format: get a list of new words, practice them with teacher, watch a video where the words are used, and break down the video. Afterwards you get to use the new words in a more "free-form" way.

The one downer, for me, is that the audio isn't always super clear. Sometimes because of ambient noise in the recording, or just mic placement, or the way an actor said a line. But this is a once in a while thing.

They do have a fix for this, the videos do have an audio-only format, that is more clear if you had trouble with the video for some reason.

If you are just starting your journey in learning Chinese, I believe this service can help you a lot. If you are intermediate, you will fine tune your studies and get corrections on bad habits.

I've had a lot of learning experience before I came to this school. From the first minute being here and talking to the managers about the course, I've already decided to start my studies here. I wanted to learn online in a group, the school organized it all within a week. They also sell books by levels, I really love the content and visuals there. Oh and the platform where we learn Chinese is amazing! I was aware of learning a language from a native speaker as they tend not to be able to explain some rules, but this school's teachers are real professionals. They can answer all my questions and explain the smallest details. I've had only 12 classes so far, and all my Chinese friends notice how good my Chinese is now :)

That's Mandarin is a professional language school in Shanghai. I've studied there for many years now, both on offline and online classes, and I can highly recommend the school. The way of teaching is relaxed and effective and the teachers are professional and nice. Learning Chinese can be really fun!

I began to study in That's Mandarin in the beginning of this year. As a beginner, Chinese is a little difficult for me, but I always want to keep learning. Thank my teacher for giving me a lot of confidence. The classroom atmosphere is very relaxed. I can always learn a lot of useful expressions in class. Exercises during the class also help me remember new content faster. The platform design of nihaosafe network course is also very friendly to beginners, I can review the content after class. I started as a beginner with online and offline 1-on-1 classes. The organisation and communication is always smooth and the atmosphere at the school welcoming and invites you to speak Chinese. Both teachers of mine have a great concept and making learning fun and easy.

My teacher, Ms. Zhang Ying, is great! She’s patient and understanding and knows how to teach the subject systematically. The company’s online platform is also good as it contains a virtual whiteboard, a video section, and a review section which help me learn the material faster.
