Charlotte si è divertita tantissimo e ha vissuto un percorso davvero stimolante. Oltre ad aver continuato a migliorare il suo cinese, ha adorato le attività, le lezioni ben organizzate e il grande supporto degli insegnanti. Before Silk Mandarin, I had zero experience with Mandarin, no vocabulary, no sense of tones. I wanted a structured way to actually learn, not just pick up scattered phrases.

Silk Mandarin has made a real difference. After just the first monthbof lessons, I feel comfortablewith the basics. The blended learning style, with preview and review built into each lesson, keeps things focused on speaking, sentence formation, and pronunciation, exactly what I needed to actually use the language day to day.

What surprised me most was how patient and effective the teaching was. My teacher, Sisi, worked with me through every challenge and adjusted to where I was at. Going from total beginner to having a real foundation this quickly wasn't something I expected.

My whole family studied at the school in Shanghai. 3 of us started to learn Chinese. The lessons were especially well prepared with online classes. The schedule was tight but our progress was very fast.

The Silk Mandarin Summer Language Camp in Shanghai was an excellent experience. The program provided a perfect balance between structured classroom learning and immersive cultural exploration. The teachers were very skilled and helped me to gain more confidence in my speaking abilities. I enjoyed how the lessons transitioned into real life practice through excursions and cultural activities. This is a well organized program for anyone serious about learning and improving their Mandarin while experiencing the vibrant culture of China.

Silk offers a mandarin summer camp program in Shanghai for kids along with adult lessons. We participated in the summer kids program and we did a combo learning program of 1:1 lessons and 2 days of summer camp. The team at Silk was extremely helpful and flexible. They allowed us to fit in the schooling where my work schedule allowed. The kids have a great time in the program. It’s overall a solidly run and executed program.

I had an awesome experience with Silk Mandarin’s summer camp in Xi’an. The program was well organized, and every day had a good mix of Mandarin classes, cultural activities, and time to explore the city.

The teachers were kind, patient, and made sure everyone felt included, no matter their Chinese level. They explained things clearly and always encouraged us to practice speaking.

One of the best parts of the camp was meeting new people. I made two great friends, and everyone was friendly and easy to talk to. The camera guy was also hilarious and brought a lot of positive energy to the camp.

The two weeks went by way too fast, and I left with better Mandarin skills, great memories, and new friends. I’m already planning to attend the Shanghai camp next year because of how much I enjoyed this experience. I would definitely recommend Silk Mandarin to anyone looking for a fun and immersive way to learn Chinese.

I studied at Silk Mandarin for a year now. All the teachers are great and make lessons engaging. My current teacher, Yanqin 老师, is an exceptional Mandarin teacher. Although our lessons are online, she makes the lesson really engaging and ensures that she relates content to her students’ individual interests, experiences and daily lives.

She teaches me difficult content in clear and digestible parts so I can learn and build on that knowledge myself. Doing private lessons allows me to tailor the lesson to learning Mandarin I need in my everyday life, needs and goals.

After trying other Mandarin centres in Shanghai, I recommend Silk Mandarin. As an overseas educator myself, I recommend Yanqin 老师. I particularly respect her teaching practices, professionalism and commitment to making learning meaningful for every student. She is passionate, approachable and highly skilled at helping students build both confidence and practical language ability.

Our 9-year-old did the two-week language camp in Shanghai and had a fantastic experience. The instructors and staff were welcoming, enthusiastic, and clearly invested in each student's progress. Class sizes felt well-balanced, which made it easy for the kids to stay engaged and keep the Chinese flowing. The teachers kept things fresh with creative activities — role plays, student interviews out in the city, and a really fun auction at the end of the program. The field trips and outings were a highlight too. Highly recommend for any family looking for an immersive Mandarin experience. The location is also super central, which made getting around day-to-day a breeze.

I’m a very pleased about my experience learning Mandarin at Silk Mandarin Shanghai.

I chose to learn Mandarin, in the intensive (in-person) course at Silk Mandarin Shanghai while travelling in China. Before beginning, my only goal was to learn a bit of Mandarin for fun (as a HSK1 beginner), but straight away I felt so encouraged by the teachers at Silk - that now I am motivated to continue learning!

The teachers Nina and Chunyan were wonderful - very clear, encouraging and promoted a positive learning atmosphere for our group. My group had 6 students, all of whom were given ample care and attention and we had many opportunities to speak and practice during class.

The intensive course was fast-paced, but felt very well-structured and organised.

The class-in material in the app was a very helpful supplement to what we had learnt during lessons.

The support received from Coco throughout sign-up and duration of course was also very lovely and helpful.

I am so excited to continue learning with Silk Mandarin over the coming months (online), and then also returning to the Shanghai school next year!

A really solid learning experience! Doing HSK 3 through this online platform has been very helpful . The curriculum is really well structured, utilizing offline work to build a solid foundation before diving into active in-class conversations. The website and tools are very easy to use, and Jane is an outstanding teacher. I’ve seen great progress in my Mandarin!

I've been using Silk Mandarin for a few months now, and it has improved my Mandarin very efficiently. I was self-learning for a couple of years off and on, and it felt like language learning was taking forever. When I started my classes with Teacher YanQin, she helped me in areas I struggled with, such as Pronunciation, and I noticed I improved very quickly. If you're serious about learning Mandarin, Silk Mandarin is the program I would recommend.

I started with Silk mandarine my preparation for HSK2 one month and half ago. I'm really satisfied and happy with the teaching methods at Silk mandarin school. Especially with the blended course, they're offering. It is modern, innovative and fast method, how to learn and improve Chinese. Before I started to study at Silk mandarin I was struggling a lot with chinese and I couldn't find the right way, how to study chinese, it was hard. When I started to studied at Silk mandarine, I found, that learning chinese is not so hard, especially if you have amazing method and great teacher. Teachers at Silk mandarin are very friendly and they are explaining, chinese grammar in very easy way, so everyone can understand. I'm really happy that I started to study with Silk mandarin. Now I know, that studying chinese can be easy and enjoyable!

Before I started learning Chinese, I was quite intimidated by the language and worried whether I’d be able to manage it. Thanks to my teacher Jane, those worries quickly vanished. The lessons never felt like a chore; instead, they were a lot of fun. Jane is very patient, but also laid-back and very flexible, so we were able to have online lessons when it wasn’t possible at the institute. The videos and materials on Classin are also well-structured, interesting, and helpful. I’m already looking forward to my next course, because I feel well taken care of here.🥰

I like Silk Mandarin because they use a effective and engaging teaching method for language learning. They provide excellent learning materials, such as flashcards and the reading pen, which help expand vocabulary and improve pronunciation.

In addition, Silk Mandarin offers two learning options: group classes or private lessons. This was great for me because I was able to choose the format that best fit my family life and studies without neglecting my children.

At Silk Mandarin, the teachers carefully monitor your progress and take the time to reinforce any topics whenever additional support is needed.

My experience with Silk Mandarin was great!I’ve tried to learn Mandarin by different methods, but the method of Silk Mandarin is far away the best.The method is very helpful and structured and with the guidance of the teachers, helps the students a lot.My teacher Jane ,was very skilful,helpful and supportive.The environment was very good and the staff was very friendly!

Mainly the teaching method that has three parts, the preview part for the self study for a quick overview of the face to face session, that helped me to understand more the class and be fully involved. Also after the class I had the review section that summarized the class and sometimes with small real videos made by the school. So this method worked well for me as I mastered the HSK1 mainly the the tones that were a big problem for me. So I will recommend this to anyone who is looking for an efficient way to learn Chinese.

Silk Mandarin is an excellent resource for learning Mandarin Chinese. I am at about HSK2 level, and had a lot of mandarin vocabulary, grammar, word order, and phrases swimming around in my head from a lot of self-study. Their "Slow Motion Technique" really helped me to order my existing information and knowledge into something that was logical and understandable, so I could untangle complex grammar to allow me to actually speak in real Mandarin sentences and understand real Mandarin conversations. Combined with an excellent teacher (Christina), I have found it to be practical approach to Mandarin learning and I would highly recommend it.

At first, I was trying to find a chinese course to start and just learn a little bit of it and see If im interested in doing it for a long time, then I found Silk Mandarin and everything has gone smoothly since the beginning. I have teacher Christina and she has been so patient and helpful during this process, teaching me in different ways about grammar, vocabulary and also teaching me about the realistic things I would encounter in a normal conversation in China. It made me fall in love with the language and want to continue learning more and more, I will definitely continue with them and will recommend to anyone who is thinking on starting. There is a lot of practice, resources and guidance so you won't feel lost and it will actually make it feel easier.
