Racism in store
Just had a really disappointing experience in Nisa. Please note Iâm an east asian woman.
Whilst shopping in there I nearly bump into a caucasian woman also shopping. I apologise & move out of her way. Her boyfriend (also yt) starts putting on an asian voice & spouting racist stereotypes to make her laugh. Hearing this upset me a lot, but I was alone & didnât feel safe confronting him.
What made it worse, was all the Nisa staff giggling along & encouraging his racist behaviour. I would have been fine with them not confronting him either but to validate his behaviour was just such a disheartening thing to witness as a customer.
Update your prices. When deals end
Happened a few times now . Buy items that meant to be on offer. Body wash was on offer for 90p got charged full price. Then Weetabix meant to be £4.50 for 48. Price still up as offer. Did not realise I been charged. £6.15 as I bought other stuff. They never update prices when offer is no longer . The staff fine that why I give 2 star. Blackpool

I challenged them and requested they notify customers before they take their money... they have ignored my request and are still charging without informing... CHECK YOUR CHANGE... I cannot count the amount of times I have found foreign coins in my change and THEY are the ones I got change from... PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY in this store
Police your franchise stores
I had a disappointing experience at the Denton branch where I was charged for an accidental breakage and spoken to rudely. Mistakes happen, and a little kindness goes a long way. Nisa need to ensure their franchise stores uphold decent standards â please do better and treat customers with respect.

This is our local Nisa, in Dallam. Although the working staff are great, prices are over the top, multipack beers sold at a separate price (pretty sure thatâs against rules - what should have been a £10 multipack was being sold £1.50 per beer instead, defeating the purpose of buying in bulk), most of the foods go out of date the next day or even same day without any discount or mention of it, all dated food stocked in the same place and lastly half of the packaging is damaged leading to foods falling out in the carrier bag or floor. It is a shame, Iâve lived here all my life and once upon a time, I couldnât have reviewed negatively, however it feels that Mike no longer cares about good custom or fair practise. I am also aware that the shop was broken into a while back, I feel this has massively affected Mike and other staff, understandably, however not everyone deserves your âwrathâ.
I understand you can make a lot more by selling them individually but it is also against the law when it says not to be sold separately. Also there is a fairly big fella in there that to be honest smells quite badly (not just a one off either). If you were hungry before you went in the shop, you no longer are coming out - really plays with your senses.

Be careful with any Nisa in London, I've been in two and both sell deli food after expiry dates, often left on the shelf next day even after I pointed it out... Don't trust them always look for best by date or use by date on every packaging
Parcel theft
The nisa local shop at glasgow road clydebank is my local for me to send and collect my evri parcels .and on 17th july2025 i went to collect my parcel as evri showed me picture evidence proof of staff receiving my parcel from evri .i went into shop to collect my parcel it was missing and no staff inside this particular store can explain that to me .and now since its classed as theft iv no choice but to involved police now and iv told staff of this .not happy at all with staff attitude as its not alright to receive customers parcel then tell customer its not here when i have proof of who accepted the parcel within the store from evri

Crich in Derbyshire. Staff are downright rude. Items that priced wrong, where offers on the shelves are not matching on the till. No apologies for this. Pretty sure they hope folk donât realise they are being ripped off.
How to put it right? Train the customer facing staff to understand that without the customer they donât have a business, to treat customers better and be courteous rather than their current rude, arrogant attitude. Ensure that the Nisa offers are reflected correctly on the till.

I experienced racism from staff at Bow Road Branch
Iâve been using the Nisa store Bow Road branch for roughly a year now, and never had an issue in all that time, until yesterday. I was standing by the fruit and vegetables, because I was trying to find these delicious long grapes, and couldnât see them anywhere. Eventually, a member of staff was next to me, I felt I was in his way, so I picked up what grapes that were suitable and moved on to the fridge section. And so did the male member of staff. Every time I moved, he moved, and he kept watching what I was doing. He was so close to me, and so intent on making sure of what I was doing, a couple (different ethnicity to me), had to get him and me to move slightly, to get to their fridge item. I felt so embarrassed and disgusted being watched, just because of my ethnicity, (because he didnât follow or observe the young couple, only me). Iâm also autistic, so having someone watch me like that, gave me bad anxiety, so much so, that I was dropping my bag in the checkout line. To which the cashier shouted ânext,â and was getting louder and more annoyed in their tone. I had to announce that Iâm coming, that I can hear them, that I was picking up my bag. At the end of all this, I felt like crying and just wanted to be home. Iâve only now, the next day, been able to gather my thoughts and write about my experiences. Iâve never in my life experienced racism in Bow, and especially not from the black and brown community. I donât feel I can ever go back. Iâm just sad, because I really loved their fruit and vegetables.
Rogue behaviour at my local Nisa shop
My local Nisa shop, on Chester Road, Highgate, sold me an item for higher than the displayed price, in violation of Consumer Protection regulations (2005). When I returned to obtain a refund of the amount over-charged, the staff member became angry, shouted at me, and said that he would refund the money but banned me from the shop. What makes matters worse is that the national Nisa organisation disclaims any influence over local shops, which may explain why I have seen so many complaints about over-charging at local Nisa shops. It is entirely the responsibility of the Nisa organisation if it writes contracts with its local shops that fail to prohibit or sanction violations of the law. Nisa nationally is accordingly tolerating illegal over-pricing by using a contract that permits such rogue behaviour. I would encourage Trading Standards to mount an investigation.
Staff need training
It takes months to build up a good reputation and two complete idiots to sour it so much that I will never personally set foot in the building again.
First complaint.
The night staff are overcharging people because (in their words) "it's extra overnight"
And one particular arrogant little bloke just plainly refuses to scan the BP app (my local Nisa is attached to a BP garage) unless he has the cash first.
Try to argue the point that he doesn't need the cash first, he just stands there shaking his head refusing to scan the card.
I know that last is a little thing, but he was so damn rude with that attitude.
Not only that, but the staff get on the loudspeaker every time someone is on their phone within 10 feet of the forecourt, even if that person isn't actually on their property.
