The app is off to a great start. Currently missing biometrics. Compares to other apps in this line. Nice to have all of the apps in one package, VPN, Password. Looking forward to positive changes.

I could finally found this kind of security was looking for for storing sensitive personal information and at the same able to share them with my most wanted family only

I chose NordLocker because I recognised NordVPN (which is a great service) and thought that also using their cloud storage service would have benefits, at least in terms of billing. Direct debit and account set up is easy.

The web interface is terrible and didn't work for the first few weeks after I joined. It took weeks for engineers to work out why I wasn't able to access the amount of storage I was paying for.

I logged in recently (6 months later) and the web interface just logs me out of the app immediately so even if they're working on it overall it just feels way too unreliable for a cloud storage provider. The desktop app is equally as bad - poorly designed and the sync feature shows no progress bar of any nature so it feels incredibly slow!!

Easy to use, and secure. Only wish it was available on Linux Systems.

I've been a customer of NordVPN for years. They recently sent me an email for their birthday special rate, $3.29/month for 12 months. After adding that offer to my cart, before checkout, they had the ability to add other Nord products to your order. These were not a requirement to purchase the birthday deal, just optional add ons. One of these was for NordLocker for $1.50/month for 12 months. I figured I'd try it out.

What a mistake. NordLocker is by far the worse cloud service I've ever tried. Their desktop app is complete garbage. 1)It's painfully slow, 2) It constantly crashes, 3) It constantly gives error messages and stops syncing, 4) You can't tell what files it's currently uploading/syncing. It just says Syncing... while it's working. 5) If you set a folder to be cloud only so it doesn't duplicate the data on your local drive, it doesn't work and still duplicates the data. You have to go back after and reset it to cloud after it's uploaded. 6) It gets stuck in a sync loop, where after it's uploaded your data, it is still syncing and will probably continue until your 1TB is filled. I didn't let it get to that point, I stopped it after an extra 10GB was uploaded.

I contacted Nord's customer service, which is one of the worst customer services around, and told them my issues and that I wanted a refund of the NordLocker. They told me I would have to also cancel my VPN because they can't cancel part of the order, which is just ridiculous. I told them to cancel it and then asked if I could resubscribe at the original rate I was offered through the birthday deal. This was only a few days after I purchased it. They canceled both the Locker and VPN, and then said they won't give me the birthday deal rate.

I asked them why they would punish a long time customer for a problem caused by them, both by releasing a defective product like NordLocker, and by having a system that couldn't partiallly refund me. The next half dozen emails just sounded like a bot telling me over and over that I purchased a bundle and you can't cancel part of a bundle. I explained numerous times it was not a bundle, but they still refuse.

These people are absolute scum for pushing such a flawed product as NordLocker and then punishing their customer by screwing them out of a deal they offered them just a few days earlier. So I'm done with Nord completely.

Edit: Nord, did you seriously just reply to me over a year after I left this review? Do you need further proof how garbage your CS is?

simple and easy to use

Nord VPN is fast, reliable and great value for money. I would recommend to a friend!
I use Nord VPN to watch British tv from Japan and on the most part I have no problem, (ITV has been able to block me on watching some sport), I don’t have experience in connecting with Netflix, Sky, or other subscription tv channels, but I am happy with the service.

Having all my files saved on a platform that I can trust and be able to access them from anywhere with my credentials is just great. Thank you Nord.

Its ease of use coupled with the strong encryption makes NordLocker the best file encryption tool on Windows.

Nordlocker is easy to use, and encrypted. It is available on most platforms, and it is affordable as well.
