Alles lief wie geplant und wie es soll. Das Auto war in gutem Zustand, mit guter Bereifung und die Beratung und der Service ließen keine Wünsche offen, jederzeit gerne wieder. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Abholung am Flughafen hat zwar etwas Zeit in Anspruch genommen, dies war aber kein Problem und die Wartezeit war absolut im Rahmen des akzeptablen.
Uns wurde keine zusätzliche Versicherung angeboten, obwohl dies durchaus verständlich wäre, wenn man bedenkt, dass bspw. Steinschläge ein sehr häufiger Schaden in Island ist.

Die Ausstattung war zwar etwas einfacher, was bei dem günstigen Preis aber vollkommen in Ordnung ist.

Best price I found on the internet for a car rental in Island. Foss car rental was very felxibel, communication with me as a customer plus customer supprt was very good.

Wir haben über NB ein Vermittlungsportal ein KFZ in Island bei GoIcland gebucht. Leider kam es zum Versicherungsfall und GoIcland hat die Versicherung abgelehnt/ignoriert. Wir haben eine Regulierungsform mit Northbound gefunden.

De ervaring is goed omdat er zich wat problemen voordeden die prima opgelost werden. Het bedrijf neemt verantwoordelijkheid, ook als je weer lang en breed thuis zit.

We had an excellent experience with Northbound Hire Car in Iceland! The whole process was smooth and stress-free from start to finish. The pickup was quick and easy, and everything was clearly explained. What we really loved was how simple they made the drop-off — being able to leave the car directly at the airport was incredibly convenient. The rental process was straightfoward and the service was great. The bed in the camper was confortable and the car performed without any issues at all. I will definately rent a car here next time I go to Iceland.

Vi havde booket bil med udlevering i ankomsthallen. Da vi ankom var der inter personale. Northbound havde uddelegeret opgaven luxe car, som vi kontaktede som herefter fortalte at de ikke længere havde opgaven, men at det var istedet Key cars. Da vi fandt frem til Key cars var der ikke nogen på kontoret og en kunde før os fortalte at de havde ventet i over en halv time, men at personslet vsr på vej…efter 1,5 time fik vi vores bil.

We were well informed before renting the car and everyting went correctly.

I had rented a car from Key Car Rental / Northbound for 9 days. They had very poor customer service. We had to wait 2 hours to get the car, and we received no discount or apology for that. The car tank was not full, but we returned it full. There was no discount provided for that either. Upon returning the car, they said that there are some minor scratches on the rear bumper of the car, and they will charge me for that. We were not aware of any incident, and the vehicle was driven with utmost care and caution. They have not sent any clear picture or evidence of the damage. The car was covered in dust after 9 days of use, so none of the pix that they have sent show anything clearly. I have sent them multiple emails to which there is never any response. Also, to repair the few light scratches, they have charged me 1,414+ USD. This is daylight robbery. The damage charge was issued by some car wash company, who is not authorized to charge my credit card. Not sure how such car companies with pathetic customer service and fraudulent intentions are allowed to operate in Iceland. It creates a very poor impression of Iceland for American travelers like me.

If you want to avoid nightmares and have a pleasant trip without being ripped off, avoid this company like the plague. That is what we are advising all our friends and neighbors. I have filed complaints against them with the Iceland authorities. They are a fraudulent company.

It was a perfect car for driving around. It was economic and practical. The car was either basically new or it looked like it was. Very clean. Also the staff was very considerate to drive us from the airport and back as an included extra.

It was a great rental! The people from Star Car Rental were very kind and accommodating: they accepted to keep our big luggage that didn't fit under the bed for the duration of the booking and bring it back at the drop off location! We had a great and cozy time inside and the car was reliable. The whole booking, pick up and drop off process was smooth and definitely affordable ! Recommended!

I rent a car with some friends for my last trip in Iceland with Northbound. The experience with them was very good starting from the booking to the client support received after the renting when we reached them cause Icerental 4x4 strongly suggested to make a second insurance telling us that the additional one done with Northbound was not enough with the Iceland strong weather conditions. Northbound reached directly ICERENTAL 4X4 and a refund of the second insurance was done in one day. Strongly suggested!

Attention!! Booking and pricing were fine, but the company partners with RentalCover for insurance coverage, which turned out to be completely unreliable. There is no way to get in touch with them, email responses are automated and consist of standard texts, and the claims evaluation process takes an extremely long time even when proper documentation is provided. Personally, I did not receive any compensation despite submitting verified documentation.
