I bought a used engine from Northwest engines and had the engine installed by a mechanic near my home address. I had a few issues with the install and luckily I had the team at Northwest engines available on the phone to talk me through things to check and ended up getting the car sorted and back on the road for a really fair price. Highly recommend. I’ve had plenty of negative experiences with garages and this place has been excellent. If I lived nearer would happily never go elsewhere! Thanks to all the team that answered my many calls!

North West Engines were recommended to me around 6 months ago after my RangeRover SVR engine blew. LandRover wanted just under £20,000 to get me back on the road which just wasn’t viable. From start to finish this garage filled me with so much confidence. Despite them no longer working on Landrovers due to how busy they were with the fords they agreed to do an inspection for me to try and help out. After receiving a report and prices I agreed on them stripping down my engine and completely rebuilding it up. Throughout the build I received many images and progress updates which I really appreciated. Around a week later I was back on the road and it ran beautifully. I have just been back today for my 6 month oil change and my car has never driven better. Again faultless service and I can’t express how happy I am. Thank you so much guys (and ladies)

Great communication with the staff and reassured throughout. It was my Dad who recommended taking my Ford Fiesta here as it's come up to 10 years old nearly, knowing it would need the cambelt and water pump changing.
I was a little weary of taking my car an hour away to have the cambelt and water pump changed, but I was impressed with how efficient they were able to complete this in 3 days.
I would highly recommend using this business!

Absolutely fantastic garage with honest, friendly people. I brought my Ford Focus Ecoboost to the garage for a prophylactic cambelt change at 77k miles. When I had bought the car a few months prior, it had an excellent MOT /FSH, and was running beautifully, but there had been no mention of any previous cambelt change in the history. However, given the importance of good cambelt health in the Ecoboost engines, I booked in with Northwest Engines to review the cambelt and consider a replacement.

Northwest Engines reviewed this and found that my car actually did have a cambelt change undertaken fairly recently (prior to my ownership of the vehicle). They advised to me it was from a reputable make and functioning perfectly. Northwest Engines therefore only charged me for the labour fee.

I really appreciate the honesty shown by the team and their professionalism - they could potentially have ripped me off and told me a new cambelt was needed when it wasn't. However, I can tell that professionalism and decency mean a lot to this company. Every interaction with the staff was positive and they were friendly, courteous and honest.

I would not hesitate to recommend Northwest Engines, particularly for those who have a car with an Ecoboost engine. Thank you!

Had the wet belt replaced on my sons fiesta. Friendly staff and great work. Only reason not full marks is it took 5 days and not 2 as initially advised due to issues with other cars in. I had to call to chase it up a couple of times.

We were given a fantastic service from start to finish. Rachel really helped us out, squeezed my son's car into their busy work schedule and kept us informed right through until the car collection. We had a reconditioned engine, clutch and water pump fitted, all for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend and use them again thanks.

I had a reconditioned engine fitted to my fiesta a little over 2 years ago. The process of booking was easy and they arranged collection of my car. I was informed straight away when it was ready to collect and they also sorted everything out when something went slightly wrong during the warranty with no further issues. The car is still on the road running fine after 2 years and my friend has just booked to have hers done.

Excellent experience from the booking to the collection of vehicle. The staff know what you need to know and give excellent advice. I would suggest if you have a ford ecoboost engine that needs a wet belt change or engine replaced then use this company.

Great job with good price, supplied and fitted my focus 1ltr ecoboost with reconditioned engine in little time. Had the recommended oil and filter changed 2 weeks ago plus a couple of sensors that they advised when I collected my car and it is now running great. Fully recommend for the service and value. This company is brilliant. I can’t thank them enough for the professional service they gave me putting in an engine. The customer service was outstanding (thanks ladies in office), dealt with the engine in less time than it took a ford dealer to look at it.

Booked my car in for a fresh timing belt and water pump a couple of months ago. I dropped my car off late due to work issues and the team were very accommodating. They managed to get the car done and back to me within 3 days. When I collected the car I spoke to the mechanic and he showed me the old timing belt and spoke about the job he had completed. He explained all my advisories extremely well. The team checked my car through extremely thoroughly and made me aware of a couple of issues it had. The price I paid was very reasonable and I will definitely be using next time I need anything done! If anyone has any issues with the 1.0 ecoboost this is the place to go, I will definitely be back! I just bought my first Ecoboost (a Focus) and wanted some advice on when to get the wet belt changed. I'd seen these guys recommended on the Focus Facebook groups, so I dropped them an email. They replied within the hour and offered to inspect the belt for me, so I could get an idea of its condition.

They were quick getting the job done (it was booked in the following week and they had the car for about three hours) and it was very reasonable cost wise.

Unfortunately the belt was starting to degrade, but they provided me with clear video footage showing this - really helpful as I was able to use this to show the dealership where I purchased the car.

Overall I found these guys really helpful, friendly and quick to deal with (though they do have a waiting list for wet belt changes - just bear that in mind if you need it doing!). I'm sure I'll have more dealings with them in the future.

As a Sierra owner, I appreciated the RS500 canvas in reception, too! 😄
