The nine day class was very hard work, stressful, but the most valuable learning I have received since graduating from college. The skills learned were immediately applied to my patient caseload and would recommend the class to everyone interested in increasing the knowledge of lymphadema.

Just took the full certification course, and although 9 days is long, the days flew by. The knowledge I gained from the course allowed me to immediately treat patients and feel comfortable doing so. The extensive knowledge and training my instructors had and shared with our class was vital and made the course interesting and actually fun! I would recommend Norton School to anyone. The instructors are great and the way the material and course is outlined and presented is awesome!

I was very impressed with how well organized the course was. There was a lot of information to cover in a short amount of time, but it was carefully thought out and well executed from pre-course work and throughout. The instructors were extremely knowledgable and truly invested in our learning of the concepts and techniques. I was lucky to have been in a class of only 10 participants - it seems like it would have been harder and more hectic with any more people. Overall, very satisfied with this course.

Home study was great. No issues with the home study part. The nine day in class training was half ok and half great.... I just wish they would keep one instructor for the whole class because some of what we were taught in the beginning was a lil different than how the second instructor explained. My second instructor was amazing however my first instructor contraindicated herself several times.

My reason to attend a school for lymphatic therapy was twofold: I have Lipedema and wanted to know how to treat myself but also others with my condition or Lymphedema.
I chose Norton School because I had heard they have an excellent program.
I was very pleased with my home study portion and I thought the clinical portion was very well done. We got a lot of experience learning the massage techniques.

I loved this course ! The initial home study course was intense but it just made the transition into the manual part of the course so much smoother and gave us plenty of hands on time. The instructors were experienced OTs who were knowledgable and had planned out every day so we were always moving. Learned a lot and ready to see patients right after the course!!

The material was presented in a structured and clear manner. The teachers were very knowledgable. I have already helped a few of my clients with post surgical swelling.

Three week after taking this course, I had my first solo Lymphedema patient. I felt confident to evaluate and treat withno reservations. Norton school prepared me to use complete Decongestive Therapy to help all Lymphedema patients. I would recommend this course to anyone!

Norton begins the intensive course with a 45-hour on-line pre-course study to allow participants to spend less time in class, equating to a financial savings in terms of travel/hotel/car rental as well as lossed patient care hours.

My course was taught by 2 seperate instructors. The first instructor provided great biology and system review as well as how to perform the initial strokes. The second instructor lead us through evaluation and impact of secondary diagnosis.

Before the conclusion of the course we became certified garment fitters in several of the leaning garment companies which is beneficial once you return to the clinic.

Overall great course and experience.

I had a great experience during my CDT course with the Norton School. The instructors were great and I feel as prepared as possible to begin working as a CLT. I felt and still feel very supported by the entire program staff. I would and will recommend this program to my peers.

I would definitely recommend the Norton School to anyone looking to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). This course is intense, and by no means easy...but if you put in the time and effort, you will gain a ton of knowledge and be prepared to treat patients' with Lymphedema. The instructors are excellent (Maureen and Jeanette) and Steven Norton spends a good day with us and gave us the opportunity to " pick his brain." Definitely worthwhile course! I would highly recommend.

The Norton School CDT Course covered a broad range of topics in Lymphedema and had dynamic instructors. They provided adequate supplies for learning and practicing. The course is jampacked with lots of information.

Loved every minute of my training! Although I was honestly dreading the daily 10 hours of lecture and lab, the class was structured extremely well with 2-3 hours of lecture, 2-3 hours of MLD and 2-3 hours of bandaging with plenty of bathroom breaks, not to mention plenty of food and goodies to keep our minds awake and active. The instructors were super intelligent and super patient with everyone and truly had a vested interest in teaching us. I felt prepared to tackle the world of lymphedema patients upon my return to the clinic being on my own. Was extremely impressed that Steven Norton, founder, would even take time out of his extremely busy schedule to join us for a day during our course and gave constructive feedback to make us better lymphedema providers and clinicians. I would highly recommend Norton School to anyone considering the opportunity.

I felt confident and well prepared going into the seminar from the required preliminary work covered in the text, on line lectures and manual. The instructors were very experienced practitioners and added richness to the class by offering examples of their own clinical experiences. The instructors were also very particular about technique. Students need to be prepared for constant suggestion and constructive criticism on how to improve their technique while learning. It was overwhelming in the beginning. However, we were given time to practice in class and the instructors were focused on making sure students questions were answered after practice sessions. The instructors were very dedicated in making sure students were confident in their skills before the end of the week. Very professional!

Norton CDT course is a challenging week of learning theory unique to lymphedema management ; along with practical use of theory utilizing MLD/CDT techniques and hands on application of techniques. The instructors challenged us (my fellow students and and myself) to immerse ourselves in the history and theory of CDT/MLD as they provided us with in depth instruction including: related anatomy physiology , theory, and hands on one instruction.

I really enjoyed attending the lymphedema certitification course of Norton. The course was very informative. The instructors were amazing!!!!

Very organized structure , instructors were professional and very passionate about their profession.

Great course. You learn lots of information in a really short amount of time.

The home study materials included a text book, online videos with transcripts, and DVDs. The intensive portion of CDT training was skillful and fun with plentiful support for learning the material through multiple learning strategies. It was a course well taught.
