Ordered a Levoit Core 400S air purifierâŠ
Ordered a Levoit Core 400S air purifier on February 22, 2026. The confirmation email came immediately, but that was the last proactive communication I received from ilmankostutin.fi.
The site claimed processing with an estimated delivery of 7â11 March (later messages said 5â10 working days). In reality, nothing happened for over two weeks. No dispatch notification, no tracking linkâeverâunless I chased them. In Finland, standard e-commerce (especially Posti pickup) means you get automatic in-transit/delivery alerts within days if something ships. Here: silence.
I had to email multiple times (Feb 25, early March) just to get basic status repliesâalways copy-paste: "being processed," "up to 10 working days," "supplier in Europe" (after I raised concerns about possible non-EU sourcing due to the extreme delay). No apologies initially, no stock transparency (was it in stock? backordered? dropshipped on demand?), and responses felt dismissive, as if my questions were an inconvenience.
By March 8â13+ business days laterâI requested cancellation and full refund, citing the lack of updates, no shipment evidence, and mismatch with Finnish delivery norms (usually 1â3 days for stocked items). Only then did they apologize (minimally) and claim the parcel had "already left the warehouse" and they were "checking if it could be stopped." A later message (seemingly from their Estonian sister site Ãhuniisutid.ee) suggested handover to transportâconveniently after my cancellation request.
This feels like a classic low-effort dropship/reseller operation (Estonian-based, targeting Nordic, slavic and baltic markets) with zero customer focus: reactive-only communication, inflated delivery promises, and reluctance to cancel even when clearly entitled under EU consumer law (14-day withdrawal + non-delivery remedies). Online you can find similar warnings (e.g., Suomi24 threads calling it a "huijaus"/scam due to non-refunds and delays).
As of March 11, 2026, still no product, no tracking, and no refund processed. I will pursue chargeback via my card issuer and report to Finnish consumer authorities if needed.
Avoid ilmankostutin.fi unless you enjoy weeks of uncertainty and chasing basic service. Plenty of reliable Finnish/EU retailers exist for air purifiers and humidifiers. The company is based in Estonia with the name ÃHUNIISUTID OÃ
