Very Unsatisfied with the whole experience
It all started with the order placed which is the only time anyone answered the phone. First I was told 30 days for delivery. Then another employee got in touch with me about 3 days later and said the lift was ready to ship they were just waiting on a freight pickup. Then two months past and I'm getting nervous thinking I was getting the short end of the stick. So, I emailed the company and within a few days I got a call from an employee saying my lift was third in line and would ship within a few days. After a few days I get a call saying the lift had shipped. When it arrived and I unpacked the lift I noticed that there isn't a hydraulic pump and switch box included. So I emailed again because no one wants to answer the phone there, it goes to voice mail for me. I informed them of the missing equipment. Within a day or so I received an email stating that the missing equipment was on the way. Within a week the equipment arrived but not from the lift company, it came from some place in Nevada, I won't mention the company that sent it, which I thought was a little strange coming from them. So I open the freight box install the hydraulic pump and electrical switch. Then I find out I can't hook up the supplied hydraulic hose to power the rams to make the lift work as it should. They didnt supply the correct fittings with the lift or with the pump. So, because no one answers the phone I emailed the company again stating my issue with the hydraulic hose and not having the correct fittings needed. I even sent pictures. My answer was that someone would be in touch to make things right. We'll, that never happen either. I had to make two trips to the fairly local, round trip is 60 miles x 2 trips, hydraulic hose supplier and we finally came up with a fix. It wasn't pretty, but it worked I also had to pay for it. I was told by the lift company I would receive reimbursement for my expenses for the new hose and fittings purchased, well that has never happen yet. So, now I'm following the installation instructions to a t and the lift is installed, wired and ready for the first lift. This is a 5 ton rated lift mind you. The first lift was a 1 1/2 ton lift it went as it should.
The second lift was a different vehicle weighting about the same and it went well too. The third lift was a 4 ton pickup, within the advertised limits of the lift and this is when the lift failed. The inferior wedge anchors at the base plate that were supplied with the lift failed to hold the weight of the vehicle. When the vehicle was suspended slightly off the floor both vertical beams began tilting inward towards the pickup. The wedge anchors supplied pulled out of the drilled holes approx 1/4 of an inch. So I lowered the vehicle and retorqued the wedge anchors nuts and tried again. I had the same results. So I lower the vehicle for the third time, retorqued the nuts again and made a third attempt. Nothing had changed. So at this point I'm feeling like the intended lift capacity of this lift could never be reached safely. I'm sure glad I wasn't under the vehicle when the wedge anchors failed completely. That would have been the end of my existence I'm sure of. So I emailed the lift company and explained my dilemma. Again I was told that someone would be in contact with me by phone ASAP. Guess what, that hasn't happened either. So once again I take it upon myself to remedy the inferior wedge anchor problem. The solution, I'm told by people that know something, is heavy duty all thread epoxied in the concrete floor along with heavy duty washers and nuts torqued to specs. I have purchased the required materials needed on line from a supplier. Core drilling is required to remove the inferior wedge anchors. It's the only way to remove them without damaging my new concrete floor which by the way was thickened for the lift beyond the stated requirements of the installation instructions. Again at my expense which is a couple of thousand dollars I have a solution for the inferior wedge anchors. Because the lift design doesn't have a crossmember at the ceiling, I'm also going to extend the vertical beams to the ceiling with exact matching steel components and fish plates added to the sides of the vertical beams and a crossmember at the ceiling to tie the vertical beams together. The additional system will transfer more lift weight to the vertical beams and then onto the floor plates were it should be. Which will make the lift much more safer than with only the supplied original materials. I have emailed the lift company recently asking for their assistance with the additional materials needed since they advertise that they manufacture the lifts they sell. I also said I would gladly pay for them. Guess what, I haven't heard a word from them. I really doubt that I will ever hear from this company again. They're hiding in the closet and I think they don't want to help.
