I worked on the Lighthouse and Polly projects on Oneforma and completed more than 70 hours in total. After delivering the required tasks, my Oneforma account was suddenly disabled.

I contacted Oneforma support, and they claimed there was no pending payment. Then I was told by the project leader that since my account is disabled, they cannot issue any payment — even though the work was already done and submitted before the account was closed.

This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I delivered the work in good faith, and now I'm being denied the compensation I rightfully earned.

If you are considering working with Oneforma / Centific, please be careful. There seems to be no proper system to ensure freelancers are paid fairly.

I applied for the Lighthouse 2 project in February, passed the certifications and have been pending review since February. I tried applying for other projects while waiting for the review, and I kept getting suspicious activity. I don't use a vpn or whatever it is called. I changed my password a couple of times, cleared my browser history, but nothing worked.

Cependant, ils m'ont bloqué mon compte pour une prétendu "activité frauduleuse". Je n'ai pas de deuxième compte, je n'ai pas utilisé de VPN et je suis sur un réseau wifi privé. Malgré tous ça et après avoir contacté le support, je n'ai eu aucune réponse, aucune aide. Je ne peux malheureusement pas travaillé sur le projet sur lequel j'ai été accepté.

To my knowledge, I have always followed the guidelines and policies outlined by OneForma and the Lighthouse project. I have completed my tasks with integrity and professionalism, and I would appreciate the opportunity to understand what specific activity led to this conclusion.

Additionally, I kindly request a reconsideration of the decision to withhold payment for the work I have already completed. I invested time and effort into this project, and I believe I am entitled to fair compensation for the work delivered in good faith.

If there is any information or documentation I can provide to help resolve this issue, please let me know. I am fully willing to cooperate in any investigation or verification process you may require.

Impossible tests and certifications.
MilkyWay is simply impossible. Tests are a joke. You spent a lifetime reading 300,000 pages to "fail" a test that you can't review and understand where you failed. This company has a very cool approach, their website looks good and up-to-date, they'll lure you with cool and cute training videos, but it's impossible to get in. It's a waste of your time, seriously. I am starting to think this is some kind of data mining company.

I was registered this as a side hustle and not hoping for anything, still it give me disappointment. The payrate is way low compared to others site, and the instruction the one project is 200 papers long. Only good thing here is they have eye-catchy instruction, that's it. I accidently turn my VPN on 1 time and got disabled, try to mailed them and haven't got a real response. Then I tried again after 3 weeks then got a poorly formatting email said that the decision is final. The email was just copy-pasted in with random line breaks and no double-checking at all. Very unprofessional

I later received a generic email from Centific (OneForma's parent company) claiming that I was involved in “fraudulent activity,” citing a clause in the Statement of Work.

No evidence was ever provided. I was not given a chance to respond, appeal, or even view the allegation. Despite repeated attempts to contact OneForma’s review team, I have received no reply. All communication has gone unanswered, and my pay for completed hours is being withheld with no due process.

This raises serious concerns for freelancers: lack of transparency, no accountability, and the use of vague clauses to deny fair compensation. I am currently pursuing this through EU consumer protection channels and urge others to be cautious.

Freelancers deserve respect, communication, and payment for honest work.

Largos procesos de pruebas para calificar para proyectos, y sin guias claras. Pero el colmo ha sido hber trabajado una semana entera en un proyecto y luego no pagaron ni un céntimo. Es una estafa en toda regla. Participé en un proyecto llamado EDU CAT SPANISH, y luego de una semana la persona que me contactó para que participase, me indicó que no había aprobado la prueba de acceso, pero sí que le sirvió dejar la plataforma abierta para que yo trabajase en ella durante días. Resulté gratis para ellos. Luego de pedir ayuda a oneforma, enviaron algunos emails donde parecía que hacían seguimiento del reclamo, pero dejaron de responder y nunca pagaron. Recomiendo fehacientemente no trabajar con esta gente, o al menos no hacerlo en cantidad sin que les aprueben pagos antes de seguir. Porque aprovechan que lea dedicas en exclusividad y luego no te pagan. Prefiero seguir con otras plataformas serias que SI me han respetado las condiciones y han pagado siempre en tiempo y forma.

I did all the work and passed the required exams. I uploaded my ID which follows all the guidelines but it was rejected and no other follow up was given. I sent 3 messages asking for an explanation but they seem to not care even if it’s an error on their end. I don’t recommend this company at all.

I was invited to participate in a project called Milkway. After attending the orientation call, reviewing the provided guidelines, and completing the required certifications, the entire process took me nearly three weeks. Following the certification, I was asked to submit a verification ID, which I provided in the form of my passport card.

However, a day later, I received an email stating that I was not eligible to participate due to alleged use of a VPN/IP spoofing or having a high fraud score. I was shocked and confused by these accusations, especially since I’m unfamiliar with terms like "IP spoofing" and have never engaged in any fraudulent activity.

I was initially hesitant to apply for work on OneForma after reading mixed reviews online. However, a friend who has been working on a different project with the platform for years assured me of their professionalism and timely payments, which encouraged me to move forward. Now, even he is concerned after hearing about my experience.

What I don’t understand is why such scrutiny wasn't conducted at the beginning of the process, rather than after investing weeks of time and effort. It’s disheartening to be dismissed with such serious implications after cooperating fully and providing all requested documents.

Update on 4th June 2025, No reply still from them and even after contacting on linkedin as well.

How everyone faced same issue of account bann?? WTH i recently applied for a project lightspeed. thankgod i see reviews now i withdraw my application.
from recent reviews there is a massive problem in this company a big SCAM.

and the most funny thing is that, they reply to everyone's review.

I worked on the Lighthouse II project for over one cycle only to have my account suddenly deactivated with claims of "suspicious activity" that were never explained or proven. I never engaged in any dishonest behavior. What’s worse is that I was completely shut out after the work was already done — with no payment and no proper appeal process.

I’ve tried contacting support multiple times but only received automated replies. It feels like a tactic to avoid paying contributors for their time and effort. Based on my experience and others I’ve seen online, I strongly advise people to be extremely cautious with this platform.

Honest workers deserve fair treatment — and this wasn't it.

After about two months of work, with great feedback, I got banned without any notification. I contacted the support but they don't give any details on why and says the decision is final.

I have, from my knowledge, not violated any terms so it came out of the blue.

I liked the work during these two months but I recommend anyone considering Oneforma to be wary.

I worked seriously and consistently on the MilkyWay TryRating project through OneForma, only to be suddenly removed without warning and accused of using AI tools — an accusation that is completely false and baseless.

My laptop is over 10 years old and can’t even run Photoshop, let alone any AI-related software. I only work from home, using my personal Wi-Fi, and no one else has access to my system. There is absolutely no way for any “suspicious activity” to have occurred.

I’ve contacted their support multiple times asking for clarification, evidence, or a chance to defend myself, but I’ve received no response. Meanwhile, the project still appears in my OneForma account and TryRating tasks remain active, adding to the confusion and frustration.

It is completely unfair to deny payment for completed work without proof. This kind of false accusation is not only unethical — it may be illegal. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will escalate it to the Department of Labor and take legal action if necessary.

I’m writing this because I’ve seen other people report similar treatment. I hope this review helps raise awareness and pushes OneForma to take responsibility and treat workers with fairness.

I was approved to do an assigment and then my aacount was flagged for suspicous activity and I can't longer access my account. I have never done anything illegal or violated any of their terms. This is one of the worst companies i have ever seen in resolving and issues and then when i contacted the department I was told that I had violated teir terms I am very confused by this and was told the decision was final now I am on a project I can't access after i went through all the assessments. This is a very bad experience with a company that I thought was legit a bunch of BS.

More or less the same experience regarding payment as most of the other reviewers here. The answers I get from The ServiceDesk and the Projectleader is that the're waiting for the feedback of the client before they can process payment...been waiting for almost two months now as the project ended medio March.

Edit: the anwer below is not good enough, I still haven't been paid for project Viva and didn't get any update so far. I was approached for LightHouse and Polly and did all the trainings etc but reading the experiences here on those, I put on the brakes. Since OneForma doesn't give clear answers I wrote a message to Centific as I understand OneForma is one of its platforms.

Upadate: I was paid this week(June 11th), it was the right amount. However I am still cautious about taking on other projects from OneForma since having had this experience.

Update: I got invitations several times from ObeForma to apply for other projects. So today I thought Ok, let's forget the past and move on and applied for Minerva(which they invited me for) And then get the massage I cannot apply because of suspicious activity..just like the majority of the other reviews here. I'm definitly doen with this company now.
