I have a 2016 IPad Pro which both EE and Apple said would cost £600 to repair and it would take ages to do. I took it to this shop and all done for £100 within an hour. Recommend to anyone.

ordered a phone to dispatch from london to hertfordshire, was told it would take 15 days to be sent to me from their uk warehouse.

i said i would come and pick it up instead and was told that was not possible.

i mentioned that i wasnt happy with their product clearly not being uk stock but asked to proceed with the order. they didnt like this and decided to just cancel order.

the reason they gave ebay was that i had asked for it to be cancelled which is incorrect.

they wasted my time and dealt with the situation very unprofessionally....

i would not recommend this place for buying phones.

i left this same review on the reviews for their website and they replied claiming it was a fake comment.

luckily, here i can post an order number which proves the authenticity of my comment.

they sent a very rude reply on ebay (i have reported it) and this is unacceptable.

buyer beware.

**edit. this review is in fact genuine (me and my mrs share an ebay account, and one tech have been made fully aware of this) which they have acknowledged in their reply to my review on google claiming that its fraudulent as im using someone else's ebay account without their permission, which is an interesting assumption to jump to.

i will happily provide any proof you may need to help with your investigation on the validity of this review.
***latest update 13/9/19 my partner had 2 missed calls from one tech. the third call she answered (she was driving during the first 2 calls) where she was spoken to rudely by the person calling. after explaining that it was me (her partner) who had placed the order and to contact me, they decided that wasn't an option and continued to berate my partner.

i would assume its due to the fact that they tried (and failed) to contest my reviews accusing them of being false reviews. where they were unable to contest, they made up accusations of me being rude and using an ebay account fraudulently (without permission) ebay has looked into the case and finds one tech at fault agreeing that i didn't request a refund nor was i rude, however said that onetech's rude reply although rude, wasn't breaking any rules.

ebay will be taking action against one tech but are unable to let me know what said action is, nor the outcome.
(maybe the rude call was because of this??)

Shocking behaviour by owners. Rude and condescending operators.
Blamed my for the issues with replacement screen, where it is clearly a poor quality product poorly fitted. Terrible.

One of the worst ones
I bought a zenfone 3. The mobile had chinese SN and works only with chinese firmware. They installed it the WW firmware (worldwide). On first OTA update, it stopped recorgnize sim cards and rebooted on connecting on internet. That time, by contacting ASUS customer service directly, found out the SN stuff i described above.
This happened after 1 month (when google released new OTA update). I contacted them, They told me i SHOULD ASK FOR PERMISSION before i do an automated OTA (On The Air) update.. and ofc refused any refund, as also passed 1 month from the day of purchase..

EDIT: I have changed my name here to the original one, and I have answered your questions about purchase but still you dont recognize this as a verified purchase. Just to mention this to all readers of this review

This name is my facebook alias. My name is Georgios Stavrakis and as i have written to Amazon - and thats for all future customers to know

I have bought the ASUS Zenfone 3 ZE552KL Smartphone 5.5" Android 6.0 64GB/4GB 16.0MP Camera Fingerprint_sapphire_black from OneTechGadgets on 5th August 2017.
The phone failed to work on first OTA official google update. Seller told that according to its terms of use ‘ Any unauthorised alterations, upgrades, modding with custom ROMs, or flashing the device with other firmware may automatically void the device's warranty. ‘ and refused a refund.

From my research, I figured those facts.

There are two versions of the mobile. The WW (worldwide) and the CN (Chinese) versions.

The firmware SKU should be conformed to the phone (SN). Incorrect firmware would lead to update failure and cannot change the SKU from one to another e.g., WW to CN.
Asus Official Support FAQ page

The SN of the mobile indicates that it’s the Chinese version CN (ASUS Service No=N171263698 ASUS Chat Support).

The warranty is conformed to the SN of the device. That means a mobile with a CN SN is not under warranty with ASUS in UK. (Fwd: Web General-Specification ASUS Service No=E1712094703)
Please note that the device has 12 months local warranty in China and it will not be possible to repair it in UK.

The Seller confirmed that installed a WW firmware on the phone, which as stated on fact (1) its incompatible. (An enquiry from one of our customers)
The phone was provided with official WW Asus firmware and it is not Chinese version.

As is proved by the facts (3) and (5), seller installed an incompatible firmware (installed the WW version over the CN mobile, which according to fact (2) is incompatible) without being aware of the Serial Number of the phone, which is Chinese, according to fact (3). That caused the failed update on first OTA as indicated on fact (2).
Also the mobile is not under warranty with ASUS in UK because the SN is CN (Chinese) and not WW (WorldWide). It has local warranty in China ONLY.

Also I have to mention that because of the incompatibility of the firmware and the SN the seller installed, the seller’s initial installation of the WW firmware automatically void the device’s warranty according to their own terms of service, as the seller flashed the device with other firmware than the conformed CN firmware for this device (or flashing the device with other firmware may automatically void the device's warranty)

I bought a phone that can work normally in full capacity with the official updates OTA and has a warranty in the country I bought it (UK), as I bought it from Amazon UK, which is not possible. Also the phone had an incompatible firmware installed by seller. At this moment, the phone resets when connects to internet making it impossible to use it and does not recognize the sim cards. Also I don’t want to pay for repairs for a phone that supposed to work normally. I want a full functional phone working properly to UK with a conformed SN and firmware.

I would be happy and you win my trust in your company if you take back the phone and give me a full refund as the phone, because of the incompatibility of firmware (you installed WW firmware over Chinese SN phone ), the phone is useless
