Almost a month and still freezing with no resolution in sight
On January 14 I put in a service request for our furnace. A contractor wasn't assigned until the following day and the contractor didn't reach out until Friday. The contractor schedule an appointment for Monday, January 19. They came out on January 19 and said they needed to order a part and would be back by the end of the week. They never contacted me and I called them on Sunday, January 18. They said they'd be out on Monday. I reached out to HSA to let them know what was going on. We had a giant snowstorm that weekend. On Monday, January 19, I texted the contractor and they said they couldn't make it and and requested a new contractor because it was below zero and we were barely keeping our house above 50 with space heaters and we had to take off work to make sure the animals were ok. They said they couldn't. They called the contractor and then assured me that the contractor would be there on Friday, January 30. Again, the contractor did not show. Temperatures are still below freezing and dipping below zero. Still having issues keeping the house in the 50's. I called HSA and they said they still wouldn't send a new contractor. Called the contractor and assured he'd be there on Monday. Again, the contractor didn't show. Contacted HSA, they still refused to assign a new contractor. Contacted the contractor and they assured he'd be there Wednesday. This repeated on February 4, 6, 9, and now again today. Still, HSA is refusing to send a new contractor.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

This company should honestly be ashamed of what kind of customer service that they provide and represent as a company. I will NOT be renewing my service with this horrible company. From management all the way down to their associates, the customer service that I experienced was beyond horrible.

This company should get shut down.
After I closed on my new home, I started getting calls and mail from HSA Home Warranty about my "new warranty". I did not purchase a home warranty. They are sending me bills and demanding payment. When I told them I didn't buy a home warranty and wanted to verify their claim before offering payment information, the man on the phone was very pushy and said he could "verify it wasn't a scam" by repeating mortgage, seller, and buyer information from our recent closing. Besides from offering public records data, he also said "you have a service request on your AC, right?" That was not correct, and even if he had guessed correctly, it doesn't prove I have a contract with them. They didn't offer any contract information. I never signed any contract with this company. I haven't paid them any money, but they are claiming I owe them $616.30.
Reported to the FTC and BBB! Run don't walk away.
New home buyers, look for a reputable warranty company
When I have to use them, I get anxious. My sink pipe has been hanging off for over three days, and they are telling me the work was completed. Knowing this was an emergency, the plumber didn't put in the work order until the next night. I am truly disgusted!!! For three years, I have been auto-paying these people. They provide conflicting information, and I am over them. I give then a -10..

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT waste your money. Their motto is “For Piece of Mind”. It’s more like “Piece of Crap”. They were bought by American Home Shield, also operating as “Frontdoor.” They are ALL the same “shady” company. The only thing they are good for is if you have a sink, tub, shower or toilet clog and is an over priced service call. It better be a simple unclog because if something needs replacing, they claim it’s a preexisting condition which their company doesn’t pay for. They normally choose companies that have a lower or newer reputation. They have a set price on what they will pay for so there is NO to little motivation for the company to fix much of anything. I have a 46 year old AC that is dying a painful death. The 3 years I’ve been in my house I’ve had to put in approximately 6 calls to HSA to have someone come out to try and fix the ac. All they did is put glorified bandages on it. They won’t replace. They are arguing it’s dying because of lack of maintenance which is untrue Also, got the company to say I had code violations, which isn’t true because the bank would have never approved my loan to buy the house less than three years ago. They are CROOKS!!! Eager to take your money for a so-called 7 Star Upgrade but not willing to shell out a dime to fix the issue. When my refrigerator/freezer went out it took three months to replace and I had to fight to get it escalated so they would give me a check which was less than what I would pay for a comparable unit. I finally got the supervisor to return a call after a month of arguing with barely speaking English Customer Service Reps. They promised to give me a loaner so I could put some groceries and medicine in and I ended up having to go and buy a small one myself because they never made good on their promise. THEY ARE USELESS and liars!!!!! I will NOT do business with again. I suggest you don’t either. I definitely would not give them any stars if could. More like “negative” stars. American Home Shield, Home Shield of America, Frontdoot, whoever you pretend to be…..you all suck!!!! Been without functioning ac for 4 months.

If I could give a 0, I would. 90degree weather. My husband is handicapped with severe health issues. I was provided a service order for the air conditioner. They checked all and said I needed freon. He said he had it in the truck but needed approval to put it in the air conditioner HSA said 24-48 hours to be approved. I could not wait. I also called to beg for approval. I had to pay $960.00 for freon that they refuse to refund..BE CAREFUL- DO NOT USE HSA THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS POOR I heard chickens in the background.
Take the fruit basket. Don’t let your agent give you a home warranty from HSA
I’ve dealt with various home warranty companies over the years. This is clearly the worst. No, they don’t ever cover something that’s ‘not working well’. It has to be dead, then the service companies they send either can’t fix it (wall oven that’s not registering the temperature I set) or send companies to me that never follow up with appointments, even though my HSA dashboard says they came on June 19. No they did not come and never set up an appointment. Customer Service is clearly based in India, and the agents lie about my case and how I can contact them for a follow up. They seem to make stuff up, in between apologizing profusely. I don’t know why a reputable company like Keller Williams even offers a home warranty from this company.

Over a year later and they stull havent authorized a single penny, or even started the authorization process. They lie to me all the time, and to (and about) the technicians.
Total scam, I am suing them for fraud and breach of contract.

I truly don’t want to give 1star. Garage door came off track and they don’t cover it! What the heck. Only the garage door opener. A $35 fee that they charge $100 deductible to come do, yet the big door track that cost me $560 out of my pocket isn’t covered. FONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
Had HSA for three years with no…
Had HSA for three years with no problems, I only used them twice. Once for the motherboard on my oven (which only lasted four months but I don't blame them for this as the service tech stated it was the last part to be found so you never know how good that is) and once for my AC and had no problems. Once the motherboard on my oven went back out is where the problem started, I submitted a ticket on October 29, 2023, and within a week the service tech came back and said there is no parts available which should have started a cash out at that time but after multiple calls and beeing told I would receive an email in one to two days with the amount and instructions I am still waiting on this email. After finally calling to cancel my service they wanted to let me know finally how much I would be receiving if they did what they was supposed to do but informed them not holding breath (good thing as still haven't heard anything more) so after letting the. Know giving me a month or two of free service does not correct the poor service still receiving as they still have not fulfilled their obligation and changed to Choice Home Warranty who was able to tell me what company I just left without me even saying stating they have received a lot of calls from people changing from them.
This company is a complete fraud
This company is a complete fraud. I have been waiting for a washing machine and dishwasher to be fixed or replaced for the past 6months. My contract was coming up on renewal and I was told it would be replaced but right after I renewed, it automatically switched to a fix but nothing has been done. They have been giving me the run around. Customer service representative are very rude and nonchalant. I don't know what else to do. This company is a complete disappointment. I regret renewing my membership. I could have gone to another company.

I don't know what happened to this company. I've had great experiences with them in the past and happily renewed my account for 3 years. But this has ended with the horrific experience beginning 10/01/23. I called for an oven repair. I live in SW PA. I was connected to a service provider in NJ. I'll spare you the 3 weeks of torture I endured, but in the end I decided it was more efficient and painless just to buy a stove.
Things of note about HSA;
They're web site does not work
You must call an overseas call center.
The call center is manned with folks who have strong accents and there is always a "boiler room" clatter noise in the background.
They do not communicate within the company.
They appliance contractor for the NE US has a 1.8 rating and an F grade from the BBB.
It took me tree weeks and 5+ phone hours to schedule and appointment.
When I tried to cancel the appt. I was sent an email confirming the cancelation.
6 days later I got a call from the service co. telling me they were on they're way.
I'm now on hold with the foreign customer service agent. I'm trying to convince her that I cancelled the appointment 6 days ago. She can't seem to understand this and keeps trying to reschedule the appointment. 22 mins 48 secs. on hold and she still has to ????????

my fridge has been out of service for 2 month, trying to call the customer service and all they say "the dispatch is trying to find you a vendor" its been two month we are living on a mini fridge a family of 5, they are horrible, i am trying to call them every 48hrs and asking to speak to someone responsible but no luck in that, they are the worst, even I asked to give me approval to bring my own vendor and they can reimburse me after and they are not replying on that either, they are really a very bad company to do business with

Horrible service . Horrible experience with the hot water tank/ fridge. WASTE OF MONEY DO NOT USE THIS... Update 7/27/23 .The last repair company said the burning smell coming out the back of the fridge was a door seal replaced that . Burning smell even worse It will be 8/8/23 b4 the new repair man comes. They said i cant put that word here but you get the idea to fix your stuff . The supervisor still hasn't contacted me and the call center is not in AMERICA.Aug 8th still the supervisor hasn't contacted me .New repair guy came and now its the compressor have to wait tillAug 11th.To see ifthis works.But he said he has no clue whats wrong.He said its corroded and old.Ill wait again. Another update8/23 service tech came out put in a new compresor still a nasty sweet smell and i have box fans in the widows airing out my house fridge still broke and a supervisor still hasn't called me , i canceled my contract and refuse to pay the remaining balance.Service contractor said they have to do a line test and it will take a few weeks.It is now sept 18th my fridge does not work at all now and they still refuse to let me seek to a supervisor.

What a complete was of time and money. They use terrible contractors. No show, no call all the time. When the do come they won't fix anything because it is out of contract. Don't waste your money. Horrible company. I'm not sure how anyone with a conscience can work for this company.
HSA home warranty is horrible now
I have been with HSA home warranty Since 2008 When we bought the house. On May 25th. I called him to open up service. For my electric stove top. The bigger burner was making funny, Sound when open it. The glass top have a crack. H SA cancel The ticket that I opened. I called them back on June 16 to find out what happened. Then they reopen another ticket. That company did a virtual visit That company only put down the glass was crack. They didn't ask me no questions. They didn't put down that the big burner was also not working. HSA told me. They would not cover it. I didn't agree with them. I asked for a second opinion. Now they did not agree with the Tech. Because they wanted him to say exactly why the glass top was crack even though I told them the burner starting making funny sound next thing. We saw a crack in the glass and then by them waiting for so long. The crack keep getting bigger and expanding while we're using the stove Now they call me July third. So they can send another company, which will be a third opinion. When my original ticket begin, May the 25th. Now the crack keep expending and getting larger and longer as We use the stove to cook with three burners HSA rather pay 3 different companies. Then fix my stove after I've been with them for 15 years. Before that, I had issue with them about my washer and dryer. I really don't know what change with the company. Now it's a fight To get them to do what a home warranty supposed to do? Give you peace of mind.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I WOULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE 8!!!! I have been waiting on an A/C compressor for 11 days. The initial impression was good, but once they realized they had to replace something, they drug their feet in getting it fixed by messing up on the Purchase Order of the compressor. They sent the contractor out right away, and he was quick to diagnose and order the parts. However, HSA did not order the parts correctly!!!! I was told 3-5 days the first time I called....then 5-7 working days.....I called today and there is no record of the order....I got told "Oh..there is a problem...the parts were not ordered correctly....it will be another 3-5 days!. Contacted the Supervisor, and she confirmed another 3-5 days. Requested some kind of concession, e.g., the $75 Service fee to be refunded, for their mistake, but she did not concede. RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS COMPANY!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!

I have HSA warranty as well and a leak from my new home from a shower in the upstairs leaked into the drywall of my downstairs ceiling and caused damage. I live on disability so im very limited on income. I called hsa told them the exact things that were going wrong btw their from a call center who dont speak english for anything. Nothing new there. So the woman tells me oh so u have leak from roof i said to her how the hell did u get roof from a ceiling are u listening? Ohhh my apologies i sorry's. This went on for 20 mins of correcting her. I asked if these repairs are covered if u guessed yes ur correct. I paid $100 to get this plumber and he made no repairs and said he hsa doesnt cover this. So what did my $100 get me a plumber to tell me how to fix my problem and wouldnt touch the ceiling bc its not what his company does. I called hsa for a refund well thats against policy and i told them their policy of theft by deception im gunna call the BBB nad leave a 1 for everything. They are scammers who will do an say anything to steal your money. Screw you HSA WARRANTY. U can warranty my ass
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible. The service companies they partner with are horrible, they only want to offer the cheapest fix. They are unresponsive, slow, unprofessional, and will try to scam more money out of you. And when I told this to HSA, they did not care at all, because their customer service is equally as terrible.
My furnace went out this week. The technician they sent tried to say that it was just one small part that needed to be replaced. He told me that if I ordered it through AHS it would take 5-10 days, but if I paid out of pocket he would have it finished tomorrow. I agreed to this, but I wish I had known that this was a SCAM. My heat wasn't working and it's winter, so I was desperate. The person who came out to repair it the next day said that they part "didn't fit" and that someone would be out the next day to fix it. The next day, after sitting around all day-no one showed up. I called and the office said that they did not even have me on the schedule for the day, and that the part they needed was ordered and would take 5-10 days. So why did I pay out of pocket to get the part quicker? And why did no one communicate with me about this? So unprofessional. It is 0 degrees out now and I have no heat.
At this point I decided to call my own tech, who actually showed a sense of urgency and was able to come that day. He told me that what HSA's company told me was completely wrong, and that I needed two parts replaced (which would total >$2000), and the furnace is 19 years old (this is why I kept the home warranty in the first place), so I ultimately decided to replace the whole furnace. I called HSA and told them this, and they said that they would have to wait until they got the report from their service company, then at that point I could request a second opinion and send a second tech of their choosing out (who knows how long that would take). I did not have time for this as it is freezing out, and I have no heat. I tried to explain this to them, but they did not care. I ultimately decided to cancel my home warranty with them. They also charge you a fee to cancel-what a scam! They also refused to refund me the $100 service fee, even though I didn't receive service from their unprofessional service company, thankfully I was able to dispute the charge with my bank, so I didn't have to pay it. I will not allow this joke of a company to steal one more dime from me. Do not waste your money. Just put aside the $50 a month that you would pay this company, put it in a savings account and use that as a rainy-day fund, and save yourself the headache of dealing with this horrid scam of a company.
HSA is absolutely HORRIBLE
HSA is absolutely HORRIBLE! HSA provide conflicting and condescending information to you, no communication and will not follow up on any request you make. HSA has the worse customer service you can ever imagine. I would not refer HSA to any human. Negative five stars to HSA they most definitely earned and set out to get negative five stars in all they do. HSA has been totally intrusive from the beginning to now. No customer should have to wait “going on three weeks” without any updates or communication and having to call in more than ten times to finally get through to someone that tell you even worse information that all the many calls and inquiries you have to wait even longer after it’s going on three weeks. If you’re reading this before consenting to hire HSA as your home warranty company you’re better off hiring a kindergarten to be responsible for the repairs on your home.
