Fairly straightforward…

Fairly straightforward but I didn't like the fact that you have to confirm the flights yourself via an email link and if you don't see the email I'm time the price could go up which means you will have to pay more. This thankfully didn't happen but I was afraid it would. Other than that everything was grand.
Going forward I'd look into doing something about confirming the flight but other than that all good

They took over £1,000 from my account WITHOUT PERMISSION days before my holiday

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR CARD DETAILS.
Our family holiday was paid in full last month (May). Yet, just days before we were due to fly out, On the Beach used my saved card details to unlawfully withdraw over £1,000 from my bank account without my knowledge, consent, or any explanation.
Instead of being excited for our long-awaited family holiday, we were plunged into severe financial stress, anxiety, and panic during the exact week we were supposed to be packing.
To make matters worse, their customer service is a joke. I spent days desperately trying to get a human response. Their "Live Chat" is just a useless, repetitive robot giving the same three options, leaving us completely stranded with a massive chunk of our money missing.
Taking money without authorisation is completely unacceptable. If you book with them, check your bank statements constantly!

No apology or response from them and will never use this company again.

Scammers contacted me via telephone…


Scammers contacted me via telephone claiming to be customer support from OTB
They asked me all my details to process my refund which i gave them
They then asked me to download an app called Lemfi which i did and they sent me a code via my email which they asked me for and i gave them
I became suspicious and said I would contact on the beach
I have now this morning received an email from on the beach (which I am unsure if it is actually from OTB)
Saying my holiday has now been cancelled and they will refund any payments today once my bank has verified the transaction
Is this something on the beach send via email or scampers could OTB please get in touch or should I go to the police

Excellent experience

The website was very easy to navigate. Prices were clear. Great value holidays available. Fantastic selection of both airports and accommodation. Will definitely use again.

Disappointed with my enquiry

Disappointed with my enquiry, charged for seats that were already paid for directly with airline.

Disagree with reply as I paid for holiday on 11th June and 15th June I had to pay extra €84.87 for seats which I paid Ryanair?

Smooth Booking, Poor External Transfer Experience

Overall, the booking process itself was quite good and straightforward, and the initial information provided was clear and accurate and the hotel was fantastic.

The main issues we experienced were with the external transfer company used. On arrival at the airport, the representative we met was quite rude and not very helpful. We were then advised to speak with a rep the following day to confirm a transfer change, as we had extended our stay in a different hotel not booked through the same company.

However, when we met the rep the next day, we were left waiting around 30 minutes in the lobby before being spoken to, as she was dealing with other guests. When we did speak to her, she was more focused on selling excursions than helping us, and advised us to call the office instead to update our transfer details.

We then had to make multiple phone calls over the course of our stay (around 4–5 calls) before everything was eventually sorted, despite being very clear about what we needed from the start.

For the return transfer, the driver arrived about 10 minutes late and did not come down the road to the hotel. Instead, he stopped at the top of the road and beeped for us to come out, which felt unprofessional, and he was also quite abrupt.

Aside from the transfer issues, the actual booking experience was good and everything else went as expected.

Hotel was average

Hotel was average, Food was average, location was poor, the price was above average..The pick up from airport was pathetic, landed at 7.30pm arrived at hotel at 12.00am.Beter off getting train and a taxi from Fungirola Train Station to Hotel.

Zero Customer Service

Due to go on holiday on Tuesday. On the beach changed my flight to a later time, despite me paying extra for an earlier flight, I now won’t get to my holiday until the early hours of the next day. Tried and tried to contact someone but customer service is non existent! This is causing a lot of stress particularly with 3 of the party being neurodivergent and having to travel in the night is causing stress now and will be unbearable at the time. Absolutely disgusted and will not use them again.

It was keenly priced,website easy to navigate, huge choice for all budgets. The only con was that I would like to have been able to access more pictures of room accommodation and facilities.

The 5 Stars are just for Sim

After several days of frustration trying to resolve a complex issue through automated systems, Sim at On the Beach completely restored my faith in customer service. OTB however is a different story until they sort out the automated service as it’s rubbish.

Our family holiday involved three linked bookings, and after flight changes were made, including a change of departure airport, we somehow ended up allocated onto different flights. It was an incredibly stressful situation and one that clearly required human understanding rather than generic automated responses.

What made Sim stand out was that she took the time to genuinely listen. Rather than treating the issue as a standard enquiry on chat, she picked up the phone, took the time to fully understand what had happened, and worked hard to find a solution. Throughout the process she was patient, empathetic, professional, and determined to help.

Where OTB rely heavily on automated systems, it was refreshing to speak to someone who truly cared about the customer experience and was willing to go the extra mile to resolve a difficult situation.

Sim is a real credit to OTB and an excellent example of what outstanding customer service looks like. The company is fortunate to have people like her representing the brand.

Thank you, Sim, for supporting an incredibly frustrating experience and resolving it for us. If it had not been for you we would have been cancelling and losing out on a full family holiday.

OTB, as a company you need to sort out your support. You pride yourself on being digital first and apparently with us every step of the way, but that’s every step of the way when things go to plan. You’re impossible to reach when things go wrong. My 5 stars are only for Sim.
