The customer service is great! They make it very smooth for me to complete my transactions.

I tried to cancel my first card that has money on it and I can't get ahold of anyone.

Application was really easy. Had the card a few months now , no issues. Website easy to navigate and pretty straight forward.

This credit card is very good. I like it very much.

I’m impressed with the quick turnaround time from payment of my bill to its posting. I have not been with the company long but have already had my credit line increased. I feel like I have finally found a credit card company that will do right and help straighten out my credit score.

I’ve had a really frustrating experience with the OpenSky credit card. While it’s marketed as a good option for building or rebuilding credit, the downsides quickly outweigh the benefits.
First, the annual fee feels unreasonable, especially considering the lack of rewards or meaningful perks. You’re essentially paying just to use the card, which doesn’t feel justified compared to other secured cards that offer more value.
Customer service has also been disappointing. Getting clear answers is difficult, and resolving even simple issues can take far longer than it should. On top of that, the process for managing your account—whether it’s checking your balance or making payments—feels outdated and inconvenient.
Another major drawback is how slow the card is to reflect payments and update available credit. This can make it hard to manage your finances effectively, especially if you rely on timely updates.
Overall, while the OpenSky card might help in very specific situations, there are far better options out there with lower fees, better service, and more user-friendly features. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’ve truly exhausted all other alternatives.

I really like opensky. Once you have had an account with them for a while you can get another card that isn’t secured. So that is a bonus. I highly recommend getting opensky for anyone that is just starting out with a new account and wants to build their credit.
