I placed an order for my Christmas…

I placed an order for my Christmas cards on November 29th with a promised delivery window of December 2–3 with Purolator, and as of December 9th, I still haven’t received them nor have I heard from Optimalprint.
I chose Optimalprint specifically because the cards were printed in Canada and the company advertised fast shipping, but this experience has been the opposite.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I paid more than the price currently being offered, yet my order is delayed with no clear update. I’m now stuck waiting to send gifts internationally because I need these cards first, and the delay is causing a real inconvenience during an already busy season.

I’m extremely disappointed with this service and the lack of reliability. Based on this experience, I’m not likely to order from Optimalprint again.

Second attempt was a success!!!

I was given a second opportunity to have a poster made, as the resolution of the picture in my first attempt wasn't sufficient for poster size. The second project was perfect! Resolution is excellent and I am very satisfied!

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service! My acrylic prints arrived broken. Since I was unable to receive the items within the 2 week window given, due to completely unsafe road conditions, no guarantee is provided. Unopened, broken, useless prints for hundreds of dollars. The compensation offered? A discount on reordering! I'm disgusted and appalled at the lack of customer care.

Edit, I have not received an email regarding this, please advise how this will be resolved effectively.

A great experience!

I wanted a photo enlarged to 28"x40" on canvas. I was pleasantly amazed at how well it turned out! The quality and rendition, excellent! Optimalprint exceeded expectations! The entire process was easy and delivery was fast. I'm a very happy customer.

Poor quality control and automatic AI customer service responses

The photo book arrived with two pictures not printed properly because the images looked corrupted or distorted. I used the customer service chat to rectify the problem and they said they are going to issue a refund, but I didn't get any response to my question about if I can trust reordering the book. I don't know if any human bothered to look at the book before it shipped suggesting poor quality control. Customer service is now deciding to refund me this one time, but I never asked for a refund. I would like the book reprinted correctly. Not sure if the whole process is just automated including the decision to issue a refund. Instead of asking me what I would like for rectification, decision was made to refund me without asking me if that was what I was seeking. Now I'm left not knowing if I should reorder the book out of concern the book comes exactly the same way and I will not be given a refund the second time.

Update on 2026-04-10
I have since received a reprint of the book free of charge and it seems the problem was resolved. I appreciate that someone from Optimal Print reached out to me to find out the actual problem.

Defective Prints, Inconsistent Support — Seeking Proper Resolution

I am updating my experience with Optimalprint in the hope of reaching a fair resolution.

My initial order was excellent, which is why I continued to place additional orders. However, subsequent orders have been affected by multiple quality issues, including chipped wood prints, ink lifting, and, most recently, canvas prints with visible scratches, stains, and even a tear in the surface.

I have provided clear photographic evidence of these defects on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, the responses have been inconsistent. At times, defects have been attributed to the original image or design alignment, even where the issue is clearly a physical flaw in the finished product.

To be clear, my expectation is simple and reasonable: I am only asking for the affected canvas prints to be reprinted to an acceptable standard.

I am not seeking additional compensation — just properly produced replacements for defective items.

I remain hopeful that Optimalprint will review the evidence carefully and resolve this matter appropriately.

No image quality warning until after the order was placed!

Although no warnings appeared to tell me my images were low quality, after I placed my order and went to the app to check my delivery status all my items were flagged as being poor quality and therefore not covered by any satisfaction guarantee. I was shocked. I even reordered the worst image to see if I had missed any warning but again everything appeared fine and I had no hint that there was image resolution issues. Very disappointed and I feel a bit cheated. I would have found better images to use had a warning been given (I have used other online web services like this one before and have had quality warnings so I know it is possible). The interface for designing my items was good and I had high hopes and expectations. I will use a different service the next time I need printing done.

Avoid Ordering from Optimalprint: My Experience

I paid extra for express shipping on my order on March 7 because Optimalprint guaranteed delivery within 3–4 days (March 10–11). I specifically needed the order for a birthday on March 13, and the promised delivery date was the sole reason I made the purchase.

On March 10, after paying $27 for express shipping on a $20 order, Optimalprint informed me that my “express” delivery would now arrive between March 13 and 20. That is not express shipping — it’s a 10 day delay and a complete failure to deliver the service I paid for. The product was for a birthday event on the 13th.

Please note that delivery times shown at checkout are unreliable, and paying extra does not guarantee timely delivery. Optimalprint failed to provide the service I paid for, so I requested a full refund. Unfortunately, their customer service is limited to a chat bot that ends the conversation as soon as I ask for a refund.

If you need your order by a specific date, do not trust their delivery promises—avoid ordering from Optimalprint altogether.

I had a great experience with…

I had a great experience with Optimalprint. The ordering process was very easy and user-friendly, and there were plenty of design options to choose from. The quality of the final product was excellent, and everything arrived exactly as expected. The print quality and paper were really nice, and the delivery was also timely.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with my purchase and the smooth shopping experience. I would definitely recommend Optimalprint to anyone looking for high-quality personalized prints and gifts.

Blames everything a computer glitch and runs.

After a poor review Optimalprint contacted me and then the double talk began. After several emails back and forth the company told me everything was a computer glitch and that I was out of luck. After several years of being a customer, it apparently doesn't matter to them.
