Amazing store to import anything you can think of, I even was able to avoid customs thanks to the declaration they made when shipping the package. The have an option to remove boxing for you in case your country is sensitive with the kind of illustration some of the products come with. Awesome store

My order (bunch of onaholes) shipped out in 2 days, package arrived on time, no damage and everything arrived pretty much as expected, shrink wrapped and all.
Supplied no notes when ordering, as I prefer to spend time writing reviews rather than entertaining order handling staff. Customs declaration was 'Plastic Model (No battery)' which is probably vague enough to avoid horny customs agents checking any further. Shipping weight declared seems accurate (4.7kg) although the order page displays 6kg, so I may have overpaid on shipping (and over-worried whether my weak otaku arms could carry it all home). I get that they need to add some margin of safety to account for uncertainties etc, but >25% may seem a little excessive (then again, shipping costs were similar to other stores). One thing to be concerned about is the declared value was about 1/10th of the actual value. I think this should only be done if requested by the buyer - i.e. whether they want to risk holdups at customs for lower import taxes.

Interestingly, all details, including the To address (except the From address) were hand written. Writing is very neat, so won't be misread, but it's always good to know that, despite the age of high tech computers, Japanese robots and the like, someone still goes to the effort of Great Hand Writing (in a foreign language no less).

On the topic of shipping, it's interesting to note that the cheapest option (SAL Eco) is limited to around 1.5-2kg packages, and is actually a few dollars cheaper if I had split my order into 4, as opposed to combine them into 1 order with the next cheapest option (SAL registered). I didn't do this to save some hassle, but it does seem odd, and if you're looking to save a little, splitting your order this way could work.

Pros:
- price
- currency conversion seems to be good, in fact, it seemed to be slightly cheaper with AU$ selected than Yen! (did I just find a loophole?)
- decent range of products
- includes some details that other sites don't (such as ToysHeart's classification image - the one with the circle divided into 5 coloured parts)
- ships out quickly
- willing to declare low value to reduce import taxes (and tempt customs)
- discreet packaging / customs declaration and billing
- no visible damage to items

Cons:
- ordering didn't work in my browser. I do have various blocking plugins enabled, such as uBlock, which may have contributed. They suggest running in Private browsing mode, which didn't work for me. I did get it to work after downloading the latest version of Firefox Portable and ordering from there. Meh, know how to work around the issue now, and so do you.
- declares false value by default (should probably be an option) - if you're concerned, I imagine you can just leave them a note about it
- shipping weight information lacking on product/order pages (I ended up getting the info off NLS). If you're looking to stay within the limit for the cheapest shipping, you may need to add/remove items from the cart until SAL Eco option becomes available.
- weight may be over-estimated too much; may be worth asking about that. Despite this, shipping costs seem to be comparable to what OtonaJP and NLS charge, so perhaps it's fairly standard.
- not as well established, so stuff like product reviews are a bit lacking (just find them off other sites). They also don't seem to be talked much about in other places, though there are hundreds of reviews here... (honestly, I think they'd do better trying to get reviews elsewhere)

I feel that most of the cons probably will eventually get addressed. One can usually work around them nonetheless.
Experience is good overall, excellent pricing, you get what you'd otherwise expect, and I can't really fault them in any big way.

Delivery took a little less than 2 weeks which is fine as it was being shipped half way across the globe. The product arrived in excellent condition. Even the box was shiny and brand new, not a scratch or anything on it. The product itself was in excellent condition as well. No complaints at all.

I ordered some doujinshi from the site otona-sekai over a month ago with tracking but the tracking hasn't been updated for almost that entire month. I don't even know if my package is,even in my country or if it ever left the shipping facility. Of I ever receive my package I will at least give this site a 3 star review instead of a 2 star. Considering I paid $20 in shipping for the CHEAPEST shipping on a $20 order, this is frankly ridiculous.

Excellent service, one of the items on my order was delayed but they sent me and a courtesy email to explain and it still arrived within a week.

This was my first time with otona-sekai and I couldn't be more satisfied. Really fast shipping (my package arrived in less than 2 weeks, even though I chose the cheapest shipping method), really fast and helpful replies (in a matter of minutes), the package is very discreet and everything inside is well wrapped, one of the best (if not the best) prices that i've found. Item took too long to receive and the quality of the item wasn't what I was led on to believe. Paid for expedited shipping and came weeks after the estimated arrival time. Unacceptable and no refund for shipping even offered by customer service when contacted by email about the issue.. Will not be doing business again with this company that misleads clients about wait times and stocks poor quality products with outrageous price tags.

I bought certain items here, and it was 40% cheaper than at other Japanese shop, and... even 95% cheaper than at certain popular shop which advertise themselves here and there too much. And no, they do not increase delivery price to compensate low item price(delivery cost is standard). I was truly surprised with that. Also all was packed well protected and safe with neutral name. Really love the service.
