Ashed has been very professional and gave fantastic service. Otto cars seem to know what they’re doing. I was at the Cricklewood office and today at Shepherds Bush site and the service is great.

They take a deposit of £200 from you when you get a car from them, once you finish paying the contract they would charge another £200 to transfer the logbook, that's how money oriented that company is, and their customer service is terrible, you can't get them on the phone, for any answer you want.

I am very disappointed with the service I received from the Streatham branch.

I rented a car on August 6, 2026. When I went to collect the car on Monday, August 10, 2026, I was told that the car was faulty and could not be given to me. I did not want another car, so I was told that my deposit would be refunded and that the transaction was closed.

Today is August 19, 2026, and I still have not received my deposit. I have contacted the company several times by WhatsApp and email, but nobody has replied for days. I also cannot reach anyone by phone.

This is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I have been unable to get a clear answer or speak to anyone who can help.

I am posting this complaint on Trustpilot because I hope someone from the company will finally contact me and resolve this issue. I simply want my deposit returned.

I am 6 years with ottocar getting worse every year. I lost my car key and my car was in private car park they charged me 20 pound a day I spoke to ottocar I told them can I have spare key just to get my car out they refused now they charged me ottocar 700 pound 700 hundred pounds. And the car I took from them was problem inside the engine wating 3 months to fix it until now still promise .
No help no loyalty with the . For all uber driver don't west your time go find another company please they don't help at all . Owner seems to me doesn't care . Big big disponted . You can't even get a touch with them with new system.

Their level of service is second to none. I was so stressed up prior to visiting the hub, however, these two gentlemen made me feel much better with their reassurance and warmth. Besides being incredibly polite and friendly. I would recommend these two individuals to anyone seeking help for repairs at the Colindale hub.

I went to Otto car as I am starting Private Hire driving. I can't say enough appreciation about the customer service that I recieved from Ash Nissan and Abdul at Hendon hub. My experience with Otto Car’s PCO rent-to-buy scheme has been extremely disappointing from start to finish.

I paid all the required fees, including £499.99, but after cancelling the agreement, Otto Car has continued to hold my money for more than three weeks without issuing my refund. Their after-sales service has been very poor.

I was due to collect my PCO vehicle and was initially told that only one tyre needed replacing. They asked if I would be happy to take the car to a garage they recommended the following day, and I agreed. However, when I arrived to collect the vehicle, it was in such poor condition that it was not roadworthy, so I couldn’t even drive it away.

I was promised that someone would call me the next day, but nobody did. I had to call them myself the following afternoon. By then, I had completely lost confidence in the company and decided to cancel because they had failed to keep their promises. I had already signed the agreement and was expected to start paying, yet I still hadn’t received a usable vehicle.

To make matters worse, the day after I cancelled, another member of staff called asking if I was still interested in the same car or whether they could find me another one. It was clear that their internal communication was poor, as they didn’t even know I had already cancelled and requested my refund.

One thing I noticed is that the staff are very friendly and welcoming when you visit the office. Unfortunately, once the paperwork is signed, the customer service changes completely. Getting answers over the phone is frustrating, promises are not kept, and resolving issues is extremely difficult.

If you’re considering Otto Car for a PCO rental or rent-to-buy vehicle, I would strongly recommend thinking twice. My experience has been stressful, disappointing, and I am still waiting for my £499.99 refund after more than two weeks.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Otto Car.
