Ordered equipment 3 weeks ago no shipping info wont respond to emails or calls, after seeing all the other reviews and them turning off commenting on their socials im not the first and wont be the last.

After 3 weeks waiting for a trickle charger solar panel contacted them. 3 quarter hour hold on phone and asked them when it would arrive. Told it wasn’t in stock and would send it as soon as they received it. Told them to cancel order and refund money as we were going on holidays. Immediately ordered same item online with BCF. Received it in 3 days $10 cheaper. Still waiting on refund after contacting them by email and long hold phone calls. Not holding my breath.

Ordered caravan spare part nearly a month ago and heard nothing. Not replying to emails. No update on order, still sitting in my account as paid.

Have none of the 2 products i ordered they are all outsourced which they do not say on there website 5 weeks waiting for a piece of rope and a boat seat pole , 20 mins on phone weekly to be told it’s coming in but never does finally I gave up stress was to much I cancelled order now waiting for refund absolutely useless

We had problems calling the company to ask a couple of questions about products in our cart before checking out. Several phone calls unanswered & timed out. Sent an email also as we were travelling. We weren’t in the vincinty but made the decision to go visit the store to ask the questions we needed answered. We were met by a lovely lad Darcy who we explained the above issues we were having ( We didn’t complain just explained our disappointment) He mentioned staff shortages. As a result the product price had gone up. I had taken screenshots for the original cart & Darcy was able to see my cart. Retrospectively he honoured the original cart price & was most helpful, professional & friendly. We had a browse & ended up buying another item. The original product is high quality & we’re very happy. Thank you Darcy you are a credit to the company. Daryl & Chris.

Beware. I purchased a powerbank from these people. It was faulty. They refused to refund my money even after I sent the product back to them.

Deceptive website. Please read the "real" reviews and do not go by the star rating alone. Says "dispatch in 6 days" (or similar) but it seems they do not actually hold anything in stock and delivery can take weeks or months. Purchased an item 27th April. No order confirmation for 2 weeks so emailed them 9th May. Responded 13th May and told me "ETA into their warehouse is 25th May". Still no tracking number or shipping confirmation come 26th May so I email them again. They respond 1st June that "ETA into our warehouse is mid June". Hear nothing so I email them again on 16th June. They tell me "No ETA, but hoping stock to arrive mid July". I demand refund, which they say they will do. I had to chase them up again for that too and eventually got it 21 days later. Coincidentally, my wife also happened to buy a camping stove from them during this period. She eventually got it but took 4-5 weeks. It is clear they do not hold stock, advertise things they do not have, their "dispatch times" are deceiving at best, and I also strongly suspect many of their "user ratings" are AI 5-star generated reviews as they read very fake. I will certainly not be buying anything from these guys ever again.

The range of products and the prices are competitive, but you need to be careful, because their terms and conditions can sting you. I accidentally ordered the same thing twice. 100% my fault, but they wouldn’t simply cancel one order even though nothing had been dispatched. I had to take a store credit under their change of mind policy. I have ordered a couple of things from them now, and the wait times are very long. I won’t order from them again.

This is the second I've bought from outback.
1st was an electric trolling motor a few months agao ,and this time 2 battery boxes.
Both times the items were good quality, and delivered ipromptly ,looking forward to buy from again and will be the 1st place I look to buy from .thankyou again

Purchased from this company over 2 weeks ago and my product still hasn't been dispatched. They won't respond to my emails either. I wish I read trust pilot reviews before purchasing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Still waiting two months now They take 18 mins to answer their phone and advise they will follow up with enquiry After telling me weeks ago my item would be arriving to them 1/8/26 Today my email says mid August I’ve now advised I’m cancelling Winder how long that will take
Beware very poor service

They stated a 7 day dispatch time on their site, a month later I hadn't heard anything from them. They ignored emails, I had to threaten lodging consumer complaints to get a reply.

I'm currently fighting with them to get my refund back which they seem to be withholding for as long as possible.

Go elsewhere if you can, not trustworthy.

Appalling Service, no communication. Don't take the gamble and buy from this company. Still waiting on an order from 14th April it's now 30th July. Requested a refund 4 weeks ago, still not received. Disappointing when you try buy from an Aussie company and get messed around.

Order placed more than 2 months ago and product still not dispatched.

I placed an order for a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 on 25 May 2026. At the time of purchase, the item was advertised as being in stock with dispatch expected within 8 business days as per their advertised timeframe.

On 3 June 2026, I contacted the business by email requesting an update on when my order would be dispatched. I was advised that they were awaiting stock, with an expected arrival date of 19 June 2026.

After this timeframe passed, I followed up again and was advised that the ETA had changed, first to the following week and later extending out to mid-July.

On 25 June 2026, I contacted the business again advising that the order still had not been dispatched and requested confirmation of the status of my order.

On 26 June 2026, I received a response advising that they were still waiting for dispatch information.

My concern is not only the delay, but that updates were only provided after I repeatedly contacted the business rather than receiving proactive communication about the status of my order.

As of 28 July 2026, more than two months after placing the order, the item has still not been dispatched and I have not received confirmation of a dispatch date. I have been offered a refund by the company which I declined because I expect the goods to be delivered at the marked down price it was advertised at.

Very unpleasant experience and would not be purchasing from this business again.

Make sure you go hunting for all T&Cs on the website before placing an order, and check the store opening hours - because they will hold you to them despite not displaying them or making you accept them at any time during the ordering process. And despite being out of line with major outdoor and camping retailers.

E.g. click and collect order - need to cancel prior to collecting. Sorry, no refunds, store credit only (with a restrictive 12 month expiry).

Don’t use this company.

They are crooks, and will steal your money.

If you do want to try with them, ensure you use PayPal so you can get your money back when they don’t deliver your product/s.

Check their Facebook, they block comments on all their posts.

If you try and call them, they’ll try force you to use their email service.

Everything is dodgy with this mob, I want more people to know, so they have to close their doors!

I ordered a caravan cover over 2 months ago, I have not received my product yet. In addition, the Outback Equipment crew have not been transparent. I had to call/email multiple times for an update, which was over a month ago and still have not even received a shipping update. Absolutely no transparency or care for customer. Would not recommend.

BUYER BEWARE - Outback Equipment openly state that a product can be delivered in 5 days. But what they don't tell you is they don't have it in stock. I waited 8 weeks for one delivery and on my second purchase, I am now waiting in excess of 3 weeks. They clearly don't hold the product that I purchased in stock and are intending to drop ship it from someone else. So, if you see a product on their website, I would see where I could source it elsewhere or from the actual manufacturer as Outback Equipment are being deceptive in their practice, by taking your money, when they don't have a lot in stock.
