I think the course was super helpful in gaining skills in relation to connecting with consumers. Patrick was very positive and motivating throughout the course and Rachel provided a sense of calmness and nearby support/help for quick asks/direction/questions. The feedback I would have is that I felt that the class could be condensed I think 7 sessions is quite a bit. Additionally I think the translation and communication of the analysis section of the course could use a bit of improvement. I feel that the case study provided good discussion but ultimately we didn't arrive at "FAST" - I think stronger examples could be provided. Specifically, many slides and comments mentioned "this would be shorter" or "30-60 words" but the analysis approach going from a large amount of information to smaller sharp points was a little lost.

I wish I would've been in my role a little longer before taking this course so I really could contribute to thinking in terms of our business. I thought the course itself was fantastic, offered a lot of insight on talking to consumers and how to look/listen for bits of information from interviews to better the business. The slides were sometimes hard to follow and really understand the point - it was difficult to sometimes respond when questions were asked. But overall I think it is a great course that individuals should take!

Patrick was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely helpful throughout the class. I went in not really knowing what the class was about. I was honestly just told to go, but I came out having learned so many things I can actually use every day in my career. The experience was impactful not just because of Patrick and the advisor, but also because of how much we learned from each other in the program. It was a supportive, engaging environment that made the learning feel real and applicable.

Patrick is such an amazing guy with loads of insights! He is great at connecting with people, understanding people, and teaching people. It was such a pleasure to have met him and to have worked together during the early days of launching his interviewing course at Under Armour. His program allowed us to ensure consistency in our interviewing techniques across various teams at Under Armour. It also ensured that we were not biased interviewers and that we were asking questions in the correct way while building rapport with the people we were interviewing. His interviewing course helped us tremendously, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to hone their interviewing skills. Patrick is also super enjoyable to work with, very funny, and will be a friend for life! :)

I think the course is really interesting and challenging in a good way. I do think that there could be more direction/clarity on what the expectations at different points, but in general I like the flexibility of the course and the fact that it's different depending on who is in it.

I liked collaborating with people from cross-functional teams within the company and sharing out ideas and insights with each other. I also learned a lot of new skills that I can apply to my everyday work.

Patrick was an amazing course teacher! He made the course extremely inclusive, accommodating, educational, and a fun environment to learn in. I learned the necessary information to prepare, conduct, and analyze consumer interviews and feel 100% confident to apply my experience in the future!

I really enjoyed this course. The weekly presentations were super clear and made the content easily digestible. Patrick was inclusive, patient, and kind throughout the experience! One idea that I would have found helpful is to show a couple of example interview clips before we conduct our interviews. Overall this was a lovely experience and I enjoyed getting out of my comfort zone

Having spent a lot of time in a corporate environment I've been through ~several~ outside trainings. This one has by far been the best. All of what we learned was important and helpful to not only my work, but me as a person. And it was made even better by Patrick. He's the Ms. Frizzle of interviewing - fun, engaging, full of mischief and just all around good people.

Patrick did a great job moderating some focus groups as part of MRS' Representation in Research project. Patrick was lovely to work with - professional, adaptable and open to ideas. It was a pleasure working with him.

Very positive and constructive learning environment. The process of going through the course lends itself to active learning and the opportunity to grow qual research skills in an empowering way. The challenge of receiving live interviewing feedback feels uncomfortable in the moment but truly pays off. Patrick is a fantastic instructor!

I cannot recommend Outrageous Insight highly enough. As an NGO looking for targeted, high impact research on a sensitive and complex area of public policy, working with Patrick and team was a dream. Patrick inspires and guides his clients, makes a big task seem doable, and presents results in a way that makes sense. We were one satisfied customer!

Patrick is engaging and knowledgeable-thoroughly enjoyed a masterclass about market research with him that was driven by authenticity and honestly. Entirely refreshing.
