This site offers a great way to reach out to multiple resources to find the right one at the perfect price for each job you need done.

I have to say I deal with customer service almost daily with the industry I am in.. between running recording studios and gear.. to photography and gear. graphic design and gear... always dealing with customer service....

the best customer service I have always sworn by as being the best in the industry is sweet water sound..... until I delt with Vaneeta M on outsourse...she makes sweet water sound look like rookies... if Vaneeta M is not in charge of training people for great customer service with a huge raise... then something is seriously wrong ... call sweet water sound sometime and check out the amazing customer service there.... Vaneeta M could even improve them in quality customer service... and I never thought it could get better then that.. until I worked with Vaneeta M

This is an easy and efficient way to get work done.

My freelancer was terrific.

I did send an email to support and received back an unclear response.

I also have since discovered that freelancers must pay to use the site. I feel that walks very close to an ethical red line. I would not pay a headhunter to find me a job, why should these people have to do so? Not clearly unethical, but it will make me look for other options before using this site for another project.

Nice to know that there is access to qualified sources of assistance. Like the format. Would be nice to know where to push the button to release funds to the outsourcee. Will use this service again.

I used Outsource the first time for 6 months and during that time I booked about 3 jobs and made roughly $600. I came back and signed up again and this time the minimum membership was 12 months at $50 a month, which is is a sizable investment to not have any guarantee that you'll get any work. My second time around I wasn't having as much luck and I had decided to try to cancel my membership. But, per the terms, I would have to pay $300 for early cancellation. The customer rep I spoke with had my account Manager Veneeta contact me to discuss possible solutions for the low response rate I was seeing. Vaneeta was great. She was helpful and funny and in the end, she offered to send letters of recommendations on my behalf to the jobs I had applied for. I haven't gotten hired yet, but one of the jobs did contact me and I feel hopeful that it may turn into work.

I know it's frustrating to watch money just go down the drain, but if your work is good and you're willing to let Outsource Acct Managers help you, you may find success on this site.

One last question for Outsource, if you are charging a membership fee, why then do you also take a cut of the designer's earnings? Shouldn't it be one or the other?

Don't waste your time or money on this site. On top of the monthly subscription fee to use the site, you receive credits to use for job postings. Once the credits dwindle, you have to purchase more even though you're paying a monthly fee. This company is a joke and many "employers" don't respond; Who knows if they're real. I'm reporting this company. Look into other sites who won't take advantage of people looking for work.

Rebuttal to Outsource: Your reviews are mostly fake. There are no jobs on your site and am convinced you have plants to post jobs just to milk people for more money for credits.

To anyone else reading this, trust the bad reviews over the good ones and go elsewhere. There are other sites that won't rip you off and promise work they can't deliver on.

I started off about a couple of months ago to get some freelance work. I'll admit I was apprehensive about paying to get a freelance job - something I've never done.

I will say I have a bit of a system when it comes to applying for gigs:
1. Apply as soon as I see them.
2. Be cheerful and provide background in my messages.
3. Don't even bother with posts at least a day old.

Results:
1. Lackluster responses
2. No job offers

I want to pull the plug because I'm getting the same run around and of course like a genius, I signed up for the subscription that I'm locked into. I emailed asking to get out of it, but I have to pay $300. So I figured keep it and make it work. It's still not working and I want out.

Suggestion: Let folks sign up for shorter term subscriptions or even a month by month.

I gave a 5 because outsource themselves haven't given me cause to leave much less. I have asked for a refund after two days as my gut intuition and common sense parlay artists could possibly waste some grief and possibly dough with the clients. Many quotes go unanswered, another source of unfunded frustration. At first I thought wow, tons of jobs there, but no. if it doesn't work move on and try something else I guess; that's life.

Lots of skilled folks apart of this network.

90% jobs will be less than $500
98% jobs will be less than $1000
Most clients will not accept an hourly fee
Quality of clients is generally less
Takes out money from your account without confirmation. Will not refund money.

Update: After weeks of back and forth about the refund; now they say it cannot be refunded and I need to pay a cancellation fee as well!

Update 2: Now I think they are making fake profiles (see just 1 review from all of them) with 5 Starts so that my review becomes further down. I'm not sure if they are fake; so take it the way you want. To get better reviews, stop scamming. :)

Easy way to find clients for online, freelance work. There are a lot of new jobs regularly. Recommended!

As the freelancer I am unhappy with the program.

Positives:
The payment system is terrific. They process the payment and the person seeking my work does not have any of my PII. The system works well.

Negative:
Not enough job opportunities.
Many of the users post VERY vague requests for quotation.
There is no way to communicate with them to ask for specific details.
There is no feedback within the request for quote system so that I can gauge whether my price was too high, qualifications inadequate, etc.
Disappointing.

I love how the freelancers submit bids relative to my budget. I've worked with two and have been very pleased with the results. It's great that I can re-contract someone that I've worked well with, without posting the job to all. Would definitely recommend as a source for talent!

I was not aware that freelancers had to "pay" for the privilege of bidding on jobs via credits. Shouldn't the cost be owned by the one submitting the job bid? I paid 10% of the accepted bid to you for each job I posted.

I received 20 bids for a job and opened several proposals to determine the applicants ability to perform the job. Freelancers should NOT be "charged/penalized" if I open their proposal. Their credits should only be used when they accept my offer. Ideally, they shouldn't have to pay for credits at all.

Not enough information about the Job to be performed. How can I be expected to quote, such a sparse description of the project. How did the client come up with an offer, without a complete description?

In comparison to the other freelance sites out there, Outsource's platform is shady at best. Subscription fees are FAR and away higher than any of the others, and the value is negligible; Outsource offers the lowest number of credits/bids per month while requiring significantly more (3-9 credits!) to bid on any given project.

They tout that they are the better deal, since they do not take a cut of project payments; however, the quantity and quality of projects on their site have severely dropped off over the past 6 months and do NOT warrant the hefty subscription fees. At least other sites ONLY take a cut of work you actually get! Outsource 'guarantees' that your proposals will be read; however, 80% of the projects applied to are abandoned or not awarded, even if mysteriously 'viewed'. Outsource offers ZERO transparency as to an employer's stats, ratings and whether or not a project is actually being awarded and completed through their site. After 13+ years as a freelancer on all of the various sites, I have NEVER experienced such a low response/return rate. To date, over the past 1.5 years testing the Outsource waters, I have paid upwards of $400-$600 in fees (subscriptions+having to purchase additional credits since professionals are offered precious few), to get around $1200 in work.

Did I mention that Outsource forces you to sign a 1 year contract guaranteeing that you pay them $60+ a month? All the while they do not guarantee that you will find any work to justify the cost. Since they have unreasonable subscription costs instead of taking a cut of actual projects paid through their site, they clearly have no incentive to push for quality clients and postings.

Comparatively, on Upwork, I pay a monthly subscription fee of $10 and receive 100+ bids to use (2 each) on a high volume of quality projects - there are so many high-budget projects, I can completely pass on anything under $300! I can only assume Upwork has managed to deplete both Outsource and Guru of anything worthwhile - on the other sites, I feel fortunate just to get a response to the $199 bids I have to place to stay competitive with the overseas lowballers.

Over approx. 4 months on Upwork, I have paid $40 in subscription fees and received $5731.50 in projects! With such a high rate of return, I would happily pay a cut of ACTUAL jobs over a set fee any day!

My Outsource subscription ended a few months ago, and I elected not to renew it. I visit the job listings every once in a while to see if there is anything worth returning for. There isn't. There just isn't. I understand Outsource is one of the newer freelance sites, but they need to wake the F up with some major reform if they want to last through the year.

The title says it all. This is WAY better than other similar services I've tried.

great outsourcing! slow and heavy site.

I would like to give as high marks as possible to Vaneeta. From the very start, she surprised me and exceeded my expectations in every way.

She is:
• extraordinarily timely in responding to me (plus checks my satisfaction with the Outsource experience on her own)
• thoroughly knowledgeable of the Outsource business community from the outlook of the vendor and client
• exceeds the aspect of "sales" by being communicative, strategic, helpful, honest and friendly
• consummate professional who always makes sure that when we speak, I am her number 1 priority. She makes her calls from a quiet location and sounds like what she is; super-smart, professional and helpful.

Outsource would not be nearly as successful without Vaneeta. Management should look to her as an example of someone ripe for promotion and anyone dealing with Outsource as a client or vendor will be assured an excellent experience by working with her!!
