Switched to this provider from a local trusted brand as I thought this was the best on the market. Boy was I wrong, made the mistake of ordering a month's worth of food and threw out a third of it after defrosting as the meat was slimy, off and smelt horrendous. I ordered across all ranges from the essentials to the classic to paleo plus and most boxes were of poor quality.

I have a strong feeling the meat is on its last legs, then frozen/sold and by the time it's defrosted it's well past its best-buy date. My poor pup isn't a fussy eater and loves his raw meals but got sick on two occasions eating this food. I've now moved to another brand and warn anyone who loves their pups to steer clear.

Really disappointed as it was an expensive mistake and took my pup a few weeks to get back to himself after moving to another brand.

This batch of Classic (Venison, Beef Tripe and Duck) made my dog very very sick. Threw up and diarrhoea many times, followed by full body covered in hives.

Normal antihistamine is not working and had to go to the vet to get a steroid injection but the hives on her body are still very bad.

This food has poisoned my dog and made her ill. She’s had diarrhoea since starting it and is scratching herself raw. I would avoid at all costs

Terrible packaging. The raw meat is packed in a paper box and as soon as it thaws out the paper disintegrates leaving blood oozing all over the fridge.

Well I'm impressed so far! Great selection of meals, very clear and easy-to-use website, and I like that they offer a range of options for different budgets. I've been feeding raw for about 13 years and have used various online suppliers, but these guys are the best. The packaging too - all just simple card! So many other suppliers use plastic. I've not had any delivery issues so far, in fact I've just set up a weekly subscription (also very easy to do online - unlike other suppliers I've used). So far, so good. Keep it up Paleo Ridge! Don't let me down!

Reading reviews I'm glad I've never ordered from them but unfortunately I've some how subscribed to emails and although I've unsubscribed so many times.....emails keep coming! I can only imagine what a shocking service they supply

It just proves whilst it’s good to be guided by reviews, it’s best not to be blinded! My doggy was introduced to Paleo Ridge raw diet by a professional dog trainer. Firstly, it was an utter game changer in terms of behaviour, flatulence, poos & amount of pees. Charlie absolutely loves it, especially any of it containing tripe. (🥴) Buying it direct from our trainer is great but not always convenient so I’ve now bought the “Hamper” twice from Paleo Ridge. It arrives the next day if ordered by a certain time (I live off the mainland) it’s always completely frozen with the packaging recyclable. There’s also no delivery charge on the Hamper. I certainly wouldn’t go back to dry food or high quality tin food & can thoroughly recommend Paleo Ridge.

We are really happy with our choice to use Paleo Ridge. Our GSP was suddenly being really uninterested in her dry food and we couldn’t get her to eat much. We started adding Paleo Ridge into her dry portions and within a month she was eating her whole portion straight away, absolutely wolfing it down! I like that they use sustainable packaging too. We always get our deliveries on time and they come with ice packs.

Really disappointing. We have yet again been let down with no effort from Paleo ridge to rectify. When food is out of stock or their subscription model fail you are left in limbo. Really sad as we thought we had found a great company.

Shame that Paleo ridge services and customer care isn't the same anymore. It used to be much better before.
Delaying orders many times, package arrived damaged and dog raw food is melted. I hope they understand that exposed melted raw dog food can be fatal.
The simple answer I got from them is that the will collect it back and issue a refund.
They didn't really care if the dog has enough food or not?! I didn't even get any refund. They don't answer the phone during working hours and they don't respond to emails. Really really disappointed with this poor service.

Food is OK. I feed raw for over 10 years I use paleo ridge for sometime now. I just ordered some new mix and it made 3 of my dogs very sick I tried it several times and definitely it's the mix. Very poor customer service very difficult to return won't be buying from them anymore.

Delivery is not on time...Frozen raw food!

The DPD box label is clear, that parcels must be delivered in the same day! Unless boxes manage to keep -18° C (is governed by the Quick Frozen-Foodstuffs (England) Regulations 2007), 24hours delivery should not be the option, especially most people tend to re-freeze the product! DPD is also not using temperate controlled vehicles for deliveries!
This is highly dangerous and unsafe for consumption.
We did not accept the delivery and requested refund - not a surprise the company doesn't want to initiate refund. We will contact now the Food Standard Agency.

This is a very good company for both the products and the customer service. The food is excellent quality and at a reasonable price. Especially if like me you buy the hampers. I had a problem with delivery through no fault of Paleo Ridge and they dealt with it very efficiently and with no fuss. They are easy to contact and the website is very easy to use. Wouldn't use anything else for my dog.

What amazing food. I’ve tried a few different raw brands and this is by far the best. My 3 dogs devour everything, it’s nutritious, they have shiny coats. White teeth. And are the healthiest they’ve ever been. They have no more runny stools

Great quality meat, lots of varieties, very helpful customer service

The food is good and customer service has been positive. But they use DPD and each of the three orders we have made has been left at the bottom of the stair, not brought up to our flat. I am not able to carry parcels so have had to ask someone to help or the food would go off. I’ve complained to Paleo Ridge and they refunded the delivery - which is nice but it’s still no use to have the food at the stair! DPD says the parcels are too heavy (the note says 24kg). Either way, Paleo Ridge needs to agree this out with their courier or use someone else.

I’m sure it will work well for some dogs and households (ones without children), but it caused my Springer spaniels to loose 1.2 and 2kg. A lot considering they were only 15kg to begin with. They’re wormed every 3 months but the vet said you need to worm them monthly on a raw diet, he also said you shouldn’t really do it at all if you have young children, as the risk of worms and salmonella is so high. The benefits were that their poo was much better, but we came off it due to the other risk factors. Another bit that I hated was that the meat juices would always come out of the unopened cardboard boxes and run all over the fridge, and the empty boxes would make the bin smell vile.

I really don't understand the negative reviews. I have nothing but praise for Paleo Ridge. Thanks to their amazing raw diet, my Darcy has never had colitis since. Her poops are normal, much less itching and she absolutly loves the food. Darcy is a very picky eater, but now she gets soooo excited for her meals!! Delivery is amazing too. Communication regarding the processing and delivery was superb and I was always updated regarding times of delivery!! My Darcy has never been sick on this food, I can only guess that the reason the few dogs have been sick, could be they didn't defrost the correct way or fed past the 3 days advisory. Thankyou Paleo Ridge, you've saved me lots of vets bills for colitis treatment and also for making it delicious for Darcy!! Thankyou!! @darcy_show_cocker xx

I worked for this company for all of 3 weeks. During the interview I was told the hourly rate was lower than what was advertised on the application and the hours were also different to what I was initially told, but I just went with it and was grateful to be hired. I was told I'd be on a 3 month probation. Quite a few times myself and others were sent home anything from 2-5 hours early as we had finished what needed doing and told there was no more work for us on that day. We were also told we either would not be paid for the hours we missed out on or they'd use our holiday allowance, neither of which were fair. They refused to let me sign a contract after asking them multiple times to be given excuses such as "all the paperwork is packed away at the moment" or "we are waiting to do everyone's all at once not individually" and would not give us a payslip with a breakdown of the hours we were paid for, which I was never given. Then myself and some others were pulled aside to be told we had not passed the probation period and were no longer employed. When I pointed out that I was told it was a 3 month probation period, it was simply shrugged off with a "well you were meant to be told it was 3 weeks" with no remorse or apology. You are given ridiculous deadlines and blamed for their loss of profit, as well as being spoken down to by management daily. In the short amount of time I was there I experienced just how unprofessional and unreliable this company are.
