Nicola & Wayne made our experience really good , after one sale falling through due to the buyers they supported us a lot and helped us so much with both sales

Nicola and Wayne did all the work , including chasing the other solicitors when they were dragging their feet. Also, got right back to it after the first set of buyers backed out at the last minute! I would definitely use them again.

first time buying a house, and I was intimidated by the complex and long process at the begining, then everything went so well and efficient with Matty and Annie's help, every question was answered promptly and professionally, far beyond my expectation.
Would not hesitate to use again or recommend, in fact, every house buyer needs a Matty on their case!

We had an extremely time sensitive piece of conveyancing and Matthew not only delivered on his side but 'dragged' the other parties solicitors along to ensure we hit a non negotiable deadline for a purchase of a shared ownership flat. He was informative, supportive and went above and beyond to ensure that we made the deadline.

Was referred to this company from all the raving reviews and I learned the hard way. I had to see my case through with them because of how far I was in my case but it was a complete shambles.

Had to call them every day as the trust had just gone.

The five star reviews are obviously false. Approach with caution! There are other plentiful law firms in Liverpool. Don't be afraid to ask for a second opinion if you're unsure of anything, they'll pile costs on for every phone call, email or message you/they send.

Ended up going to Berkson’s solicitors. Much friendlier and much more professional.

We may share the same last name but we are not related. We have worked with Matthew now for the purchase and sale of four properties. Not all of the Sales have been straight forward and at times Matty was dealing with some very tricky questions and lack of paperwork on behalf of developers. He was professional and more importantly available throughout the process. Our nerves were pushed to the edge at times but he never showed annoyance with our constant communication, just politely informed of the progress and outcome. We cannot recommend his services more highly, he's a rare find in the industry.

Worst law firm I've ever worked with. AVOID!!!

Very pleasant at first as you can imagine but once they've got you as a client then that's when the work stops and the costs get added. Zero transparency throughout. Terrible attitude. You get to know their real character once you leave them for another firm.

Paul Crowley has been excellent through the whole process of buying our first home. They have been transparent about every stage of the process and the communication couldn’t be faulted. After 12 months from putting my house up for sale to completion here’s our journey.

I went with Paul Crowley as requested by the estate agent Whitegates
I dealt with Matthew Kay whose professionalism was beyond outstanding. Our journey was rare I am told as what should have been a straightforward transition became a catalogue of delays , setbacks and unknowns. We got our first offer late January 2024 and Matty started to draw up the paper work required for the sale For it only to fall through as the buyer pulled out so therefore the house we were buying had to go back on the market and we lost this house whilst waiting for another offer.

We then had our next offer in May 2024 and the nightmare commenced. We put another offer in on a property but after structural servey we had to pull out on this property. We then got another property at the end of July and due to unforeseen issues with the chain this went on until the end of November and then nearly at the point of exchange the vender for this property pulled out.

We then found another properly in early December and put an offer in on this property and there were further issues / delays until the point of exchange and completion and finally the process went through on 14.02.2025


In this journey 4 searches carried out on the houses and four sets of paperwork drawn up by Matty

I had none stop phone calls , email communications with Matty. At no point did he ignore me even at the most upsetting times when he didn’t have an answer for me or what I wanted to hear he remained professional, kind and basically a human being who showed nothing but empathy throughout .

He gave advise but never once did he give me false hope he stated only factual information which was truthful and at times he had to remain confidential.

When he was off on leave he left updates and a person to communicate with in his absence.

The work carried out by Matty was excellent and this is a genuine review as I believe if you don’t have the right experienced solicitor this process could impact on your health as nothing prepares you for the rollercoaster ahead
And Matty was the listening ear at all times.

I am aware my journey was rare and not all go through this lengthy process but it can happen where it is not plain sailing and the need for a good knowledgable solicitor is key.
