Payarc may be subject to a class action lawsuit

The problem I'm having is Payarc is charging merchants which I referred to them fees that are avoidable. Instead of closing a merchant's processing account AND stopping the billing of that account when the merchant either terminates the account, stops using the account, changes their bank account, and/or moves to another processor; Payarc is intentionally leaving the accounts open for months and charging the merchant fees that are usually not a part of the original merchant processing agreement. Payarc will then send the merchant invoices. The merchants refuses to pay for services they never asked for nor received so Payarc then turns around and charge those same fees to the Agent/rep (me) and proceeds to deduct the fees from the residuals due to the Agent. This started on or around October/November 2025. I have attached invoices and statements. Many of these same merchants are or will be a party to a completely separate, yet imminent, class action lawsuit against Payarc, for other questionable billing practices, which is being researched by a prominent South Florida law firm.

Was the victim of identity and bank account theftft by Payarc

Never did business with them and never heard of them before and only use the square in my business anyway and one day in early January 2026 an invoice shows up in my email saying I owe Payarc $212 and does not say what it is for. I call up and they tell me that I have not paid my monthly service bill with Venmo and they are collecting it. (I opened a Venmo account 3 years prior in case my customers ever wanted to pay that way but never ever did so I never even used it..zero transactions) I then called venmo and they tell me that there is no monthly or annual membership fee and that my account does not owe them anything. I give the venmo fraud dept payarcs number and they say they will handle it. A few days later I call payaarc again and tell them what venmo said, that I owe no money and that they dont even charge a fee to subscribe to their service and they tell me the entire thing was an error and will be withdrawn. Later in early February I received the same invoice again so call payarc again and was told the charges were cancelled on Feb 3 and not to worry about them...that they are gone. However the next month March 1 I get another invoice from payarc only now for $424 for supposedly not paying the first and now the fee for second month and threatening to turn it over to a collection agency and ruin my credit if I dont pay it immediately. I call them again. The agent lies to me and says I have a contract with venmo and he reads me my company name and has my company bank account number too and says I made a contract with Venmo. Venmo says no such thing and I tell him that previous payarc agents had tod me that the invoice was an error and closed. Two days later another payarc person emails me and again says the matter is closed and dont worry about it. . However I am worried about it anyway so I go to my bank and close my business account and open another one. I am totally worried because I dont know how payarc got my banking information in the first place and dont trust them and venmo would never give it to them anyway even to collect a debt. I was right. The second of March I get another email from Payarc saying that they tried to bill my bank account and that their charges were returned and they are again threatening to turn my "account" over to a collection agaency and ruin my credit if I dont pay immediately! Mind I dont even have an account with payarc and they claim they are some kind of payment processing company but in my case they claim they are trying to collect an unpaid debt from a third party and are acting like a collection agent! So it is a good thing I closed my bank account which had obviousy been compromised. I have since then received yet another one of their bogus invoices this time for $178 with all kinds of impressive codes and fees and discounts and no explanation of what it is for ...bizarre shit and I am an MBA who has been in business for over 40 years and never seen anything like this! My opinion is that Payarc is some kind of racketeer corrupt organization and run by either etreme incompetents or criminals...not sure it is even located in this country. I suggest anyone dealing with them to close your bank accounts if they have had access to it and to do so even if you think your account with them is closed and the nice man on the phone tells that because obviously someone else unknown running their systems and will come back weeks or months later and generate a fake invoice or termination fee and try to steal from your account. Hell! They may have been stealing out of their clients accounts in driblets for years and their clients dont even know it! Finally I turned the entire matter over to the detective at my local police department and also notified my bank since Payarc, a company I never did business with and did not even have an account with, somehow obtained the numbers of one of my bank accounts from me and so I believe they are capable of anything. Paypal also did suffer a massive data breach late last year and tens of thousand of accounts were compromised and account data stolen--I got a letter from them to change all passwords and check accounts for fraudulant invoices and purchases..so be careful if any of your account date was stored at paypal who knows where it ended up or who bought it off the dark web or how mine ended up in the hands of Payarc..

Very deceptive company

This is a very deceptive company. They talk big time about their great services until they trap you in a contract, then can't provide service. I signed up because I needed a Point of Sale terminal to be able to take payments at craft shows. After I am under contract they tell me the terminals don't work with android. So, I ask if I can cancel the contract and they tell me there will be a $500 early cancellation fee. That is totally ridiculous considering they can't provide the service I contracted for. But, to stop ever increasing monthly charges I paid the fee. That was over 8 months ago and they are still charging me a monthly fee. I can't talk to any representative there that will stop this. Be very cautious with this company because they trap you in a contract, then will not stop charging you, even after you cancel the contract.

Shysters I started with PayArc about a year and

I started with PayArc about a year and a half ago maybe two years, one of the worst companies i’ve ever dealt with.
The first issue I had was the support team horrible. When I wanted to leave, they said I had signed a contract for three years which I made very clear in the beginning I did not want to sign a contract. But the person that signed me up basically lied so be very careful. Read the fine print read the small lettering. They are shysters. I wait for a class action suit to start because these people are terrible. I have gone to the Better Business Bureau to report them. I think they are now doing an investigation. Word to the wise do not do not deal with them.

My Personal Experience with Payarc and

My Personal Experience with Payarc and CEO Zachary Martinez: How I Worked for Nothing While My Family Starved
I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. I grew up knowing the value of hard work, and when I got the chance to work with Payarc, I thought it was finally the break my family needed. We were struggling financially, but I believed if I worked hard, I could provide a better future for my wife and our baby on the way.
Unfortunately, my experience with Payarc — and specifically with its CEO, Zachary Martinez — has been the most painful, humiliating, and financially devastating chapter of my life.
Big Hopes, Broken Promises
When I started, I was told there was huge opportunity. Payarc handled merchant processing, and I was eager to bring in clients, help them process payments, and earn commissions. I did exactly that. In fact, Payarc processed over $80,000 in merchant transactions directly tied to my work.
But when it came time to pay me? Nothing. Not even $100.
Imagine working tirelessly, chasing every lead, every account, believing that each dollar you helped process was also helping put food on your family’s table — only to find out that the company you trusted refuses to pay you.
Struggling to Survive
Right now, my wife is pregnant. Instead of saving for a crib or preparing for doctor visits, I’m scrambling just to make sure she has food to eat. We’re literally surviving day to day, while Payarc profits off my work without paying me a cent.
The weight of that reality has been crushing. I feel like I’ve been working for food, like I’m not just fighting for money — I’m fighting for my family’s survival.
Threats and Abuse from the CEO
When I confronted Payarc and CEO Zachary Martinez about not being paid, I expected a conversation. Instead, I got screamed at, cursed at, and even threatened.
He told me he didn’t care about my situation. He threatened to have me arrested. He even said he would file false police reports against me. Then he hung up.
That moment showed me everything I needed to know about Payarc’s leadership. This isn’t just a company that failed to pay me. This is a company run with complete disregard for basic human decency.
Why I’m Speaking Out
I don’t share this story lightly. It’s humiliating to admit that I worked so hard and have nothing to show for it. But I also know I can’t stay silent while a company like Payarc treats people this way.
I want others to know what happened to me so they don’t fall into the same trap. No one deserves to work for free. No one deserves to be threatened for asking to be paid. And no one deserves to be treated with the cruelty I experienced at the hands of Payarc and Zachary Martinez.
Final Thoughts
I’m still fighting to recover what I’m owed, but more than that, I’m trying to protect my family and prepare for the arrival of my baby. Every dollar matters. Every meal matters.
I trusted Payarc with my time, my effort, and my future — and they betrayed that trust. What was supposed to be a new beginning turned into exploitation and abuse.
If you’re considering working with Payarc or Zachary Martinez, I urge you to think twice. My story is living proof that not everything that glitters is gold, and sometimes, behind the promises of opportunity, lies the harshest reality.

⚠ WARNING

⚠ WARNING: My Experience with PAYARC – The Worst Merchant Services Company of 2025

This is a factual account of my experience with PAYARC, a company that, in my professional opinion, should be avoided by all agents, ISOs, and merchants.

🚩 Dishonest Business Practices

PAYARC has proven to be one of the most unethical and deceptive merchant service providers I’ve encountered in over [X years] of working in the payments industry. Instead of paying agents for the hard work of building merchant portfolios, PAYARC has gone so far as to issue negative residuals—meaning I was charged money instead of being paid for accounts I boarded under their platform.

This wasn’t a clerical error or a one-time mistake—it was systemic and intentional. PAYARC deducted from my residuals without clear explanation, withheld reporting transparency, and failed to provide accurate statements that could justify their actions.

🀥 Fake Names and Phantom Employees

During the onboarding process and throughout my time with them, I was in contact with several so-called “employees” who used fake names, had no verifiable LinkedIn or public presence, and who disappeared or stopped responding the moment there were questions about money or contracts. Attempts to escalate concerns were met with dead ends—either voicemails, bounced emails, or sudden "position changes" of the people I had been speaking with.

In hindsight, this appears to be a deliberate attempt to avoid accountability by hiding behind fake identities and transient email addresses.

💰 Reserve Theft and Withholding of Funds

One of the most egregious parts of my experience was how PAYARC seized and withheld reserve funds from accounts I boarded, giving no clear timeline or justification. These reserves were often held under Evolve Bank, but PAYARC maintained control and refused to provide release details or reports showing transaction history or risk assessments.

This is not just unethical—it borders on financial fraud. Funds that rightfully belong to merchants or agents were essentially stolen or locked up indefinitely.

🏊 Everything Processed Through Evolve Bank – But Zero Transparency

While Evolve Bank was the back-end processor for many of the accounts, PAYARC acted as the gatekeeper, and unfortunately, they offered zero transparency. I received no support in accessing reserve timelines, and no assistance in resolving merchant inquiries about delays, terminations, or chargeback disputes.

They hid behind “policy” without ever producing documentation. In fact, multiple accounts were terminated without warning—sometimes weeks after boarding—and the blame was placed on “compliance,” with no follow-up.

❌ A Company to Avoid at All Costs

Let me be absolutely clear:
PAYARC is not a legitimate, trustworthy, or ethical company to do business with in 2025.

They issued negative residuals to agents.

They used fake names and phantom employees to conduct business.

They withheld agent commissions and merchant reserves without explanation.

They avoided all accountability, even when confronted with documentation.

They ran deals through Evolve Bank, but gave zero transparency or support.

If you are an ISO, independent agent, or merchant—stay far, far away from PAYARC. They operate with deceptive practices and have no respect for the people helping to grow their book of business.

✅ My Advice to Others:

If you’ve had a similar experience with PAYARC or another shady ISO:

File complaints with the FTC, BBB, and your state’s Attorney General.

Document all communications, contracts, and residuals.

Warn others in agent communities and forums.

Consider joining or initiating a class-action lawsuit if there is significant financial loss.

I’m speaking out because no one should have to go through what I experienced. I trusted PAYARC with my business, my clients, and my income—and they violated that trust in every way imaginable.

Stay vigilant. Protect your book. Don’t fall for the smoke and mirrors.

Pay Arc are criminal

payarc is a very shady company you can never speak with the ppl you need to or they are gone for the day. They will take funds directly from your checking account even when they never deposited the funs FYI
21K was taken from our business checking account and the funds had never been deposited into our account. When it was brought to their attention, I have received the run around and told a ticket was done on this matter but as of 1600 they went home so nothing was resolved today. I brought this to their attention at 0700 this am on 07/14/2025 so find another company they are straight up crocks, and I have to get my Lawyer involved.

Stay Away

Absolutely terrible experience! Stay away from this company. As a small business owner, I work extremely hard to earn money to support my family and contribute to our community. This company approached us, claiming they had numerous clients in our area and offered to help grow our business. They promised more orders, knowing we were struggling with platforms like DoorDash and Grubhub.

We agreed to partner with them only if there wasn't a long-term contract involved. They assured us they'd always be available and send us more orders, but refused to disclose the names of other businesses in the area supposedly benefiting from their service.

When we decided to cancel due to no noticeable improvement, they said it was fine and would send a label for equipment return. We returned everything promptly. Months later, we were shocked to receive a bill from a collection agency for an early termination fee. We had agreed on a monthly cost and a transaction percentage, but not a three-year contract. Do they really think I would sign a three-year contract with a company I hadn't heard of before? Even with major companies like DoorDash, the experience isn't great due to the lack of drivers in our area. We definitely do not recommend them.

Payarc charged me again after closing

Payarc charged me again after closing the account. I closed my account with them in March, confirmed in a call in April, and they turned around and charged me a merchant fee again in May. When I called, they said they had no idea why they had charged me. Terrible company. Dishonest and disorganized.

Pay arc is incompetent or has zero customer care

The Payarch merchant and easy pay are incompetent to say the least:

I have had an extremely frustrating experience with Payarc. They have withheld access to our funds without providing a valid reason. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, the company has been dishonest about the merchant closure date and has failed to give a clear answer on when our funds will be released.

Every time I call for an update, my call is answered only to be put on hold for over thirty minutes. This level of customer service is unacceptable and has caused significant stress and inconvenience. I strongly advise against using payarc for any financial services. Their lack of transparency and poor customer service practices have been deeply disappointing.

I was connected to this company by the merchant services company easy pay and I would recommend avoiding them also if you wish to have an experience that does not include having funds held and zero customer service.
