Another company I would give half a star to if I could. At one point, way back in the beginning of time, they may have been okay to deal with, but now? no it is terrible. I have had several calls now where it takes them nearly half an hour to answer their phone. Once, it took an hour. This is for a business account as well. The PBT One website is a joke; it is clunky and not user-friendly. They advertise that they offer an overnight service between Nelson-Blenheim, but I was told by one of their call centre staff that they don't actually do that anymore. Blenheim to Christchurch is four days at the earliest. I am in the process of changing to another company. The only good thing about PBT is the companies they sub-contract thier jobs too as they provide great customer service and their truck drivers are great as well.

It will get to it's destination quicker by about a week. Next time I'm going to get a trailer and save myself a few hundred bucks. I've even received stuff from China that I ordered a week after my goods were picked up by PBT.
Also communication. The person at reception was good as she actually replied. Dispatch, not so good. Zero communication from them. I have no idea of a timeframe so I cant arrange to be at the delivery location when/if it arrives. Again, definitely don't go with these guys- over priced, bad service (for the main part) and little to no communication.

The seller managed to contact them and they said theyâd look for the parcel. Item never came and seller sent replacement. I never got the item they lost. I think thatâs terribleâŠ

PBT âExpressâ Freight and I can say theyâre by far the worst freight company Iâve ever dealt with. Took 10 days from Christchurch to South Canterbury (140km), most of which seemed to be in some Timaru-based freight purgatory. After a week of waiting it took multiple emails and phone calls to have them eventually find it. Finally delivered by some poor sod who was expected to lift a 75kg crate off a truck by himself: no tail lift. Their tracking software bore zero resemblance to reality and I wondered if they were on crack when they designed it. Any business using them to deliver their products gives themselves a bad name.
Dont bother using them
On line tracker says collect in Christchurch on the 4th... still hadnt arrived on the 11th & when we inquired this was the response...
Unfortunately this only left Christchurch last night so will not be in Hastings until Friday.
My fears were unfounded
I was really worried after reading these reviews! My packages arrived yesterday in a very timely manner, but as no one was home, they left a card to arrange redelivery. The QR code didn't work, nor did the website have any option for redelivery. So I phoned this morning, and they advised the supplier needed to authorize the redelivery. I phoned the supplier, they sent an email, and I phoned again. The package was safely delivered this afternoon.
PBT is the worst freight company in NZ
PBT is by far one of, if not the worst freight company in NZ. Absolutely useless service and communication. I have dealt with them off and on for about 10 years and they have always been terrible. Finally had enough and won't even shop with a company if PBT is my only freight option. I want nothing to do with this company again.
Very poor service
Got an item sent from Auckland. Their tracking data showed it is in their location in Seaview and not out for delivery. Tried to phone to arrange for someone to collect it and got an answering service that said they are not open as they are out of business hours, yet their web page shows that their operating hours are 8 am to 5 pm, My call was at 8:45 am

WE DONT HAVE A PHONE....
I ordered an item from Christchurch to Timaru, to my work address. Next day the track and trace updated as could not deliver at 7.10am. I work in the office starting at 6.30am, no PBT your driver most certainly did not try ...cameras show did not arrive at all. I spent all morning calling the Timaru depot with no answer, this included calling the 0800 number and being transferred through as the call centre cannot help once package is at depot. Ended up driving to the depot to be told 'we don't have a phone' Are you serious!? Got my package no apologies or care at all. With future purchases will choose any other option if offered, never PBT. I've written this review today as unfortunately another parcel is on its way, and so far appears to be taking its time...anticipating a similar result.

Undelivered, sat at warehouse for a week, then delivered to wrong location. Now not replying to emails or returning my calls. Despite being told I would be âkept informedâ. Called for a fourth time and got through by saying Iâm trying to send something - yet still unresolved. Will check with who Iâm buying products from in the future and if they use PBT I will not purchase anything, theyâre too unreliable.

Customer Service - there is none
As per previous reviews, I have had the same non-existent contact from them regarding a parcel I am expecting, which appears to have been misdirected by PBT. Tried phoning, no success, just put on hold, and sending emails to customer services (no customer service) surprise surprise, have not had a reply. Very disappointing PBT. Clean up your act.
