Excellent service renewing my home insurance at a good price

If I could give zero stars that would be being generous! Absolutely terrible customer service, extremely rude, unhelpful, deceptive and dismissive. I have been in the motor trade for 20 years, took out motor trade insurance through Peacock and have never experienced such terrible service and the cover was inadequate. My vehicles were repeatedly throughout my years policy not added to the database or removed when submitted leaving me at huge risk, when I complained multiple times I was met with hostility, accusations and threats of my policy being cancelled despite paying a substantial amount in full. When directed to their official complaints procedure all was denied despite them stating I had received an apology earlier in the year - all stated via email yet no such apology was given. I basically paid thousands for a policy that was not fit for purpose and certainly does not meet FCA regulations. I would rather pay double than deal with their customer service team ever again!

Cogent Hire

They recommend United Legal & Cogent Hire, the worse unprofessional and unproductive companies you can't work with, then Peacock don't wanna get involved after. Despite their the ones who use United Legal as the claims dept!!!

Accident on 2nd June 2025 and it's now 9th September and still no courtesy vehicle despite the fact that their guaranteed payout!!!!

Stressed me out for months offering Courtney vehicles and when they finally got me 1 it lasted a day as EML, ABS & TCS lights come on. So I had to drop it to the dealer to get repaired and no replacement given / offered!!!!

Also almost got my vehicle crushed as they didn't even liaise with the recovery company to arrange collection/ inspection!

Steer well clear

Complaints department called me today at 4:55pm, I missed the call.
Called back at 5:05pm and that dept had closed!!!! Clearly their agenda is not to help resolve or earn their money.

They dont care about clients, go to a company that cares , these cowboys dont and should not be working in Insurance Claims as they DONT SUPPORT YOU!

Moral of the story, always get legal cover and or claim off the 3rd party don't allow any Accident Management companies to get involved!

I have used peacock insurance for over 3 years now and have again recently renewed a business related insurance
Once again I received a competitive quote plus a friendly service my business will be staying with peacock’s for another year

We needed an insurance backed guarantee for our project and we were very lucky to bump into Claire! She is amazing, responding very promptly and efficiently. Job done within a few hours. Thank you Claire!

worst broker to deal with.. I left them 3 years ago because they give the policy and state every thing you provided is fine, when the policy is live and you paid then you get a call stating the proof of history is not correct so we will have to charge. i left them in 2022 for this reason. i thought i gave them a try again this year because the policy started i said are you happy with every thing i was told yes and a week later same issue again and this time he didn't take any information over the phone said is every thing the same as last time. now they want me to pay £260+ the insurer is happy to cancel free of charge but these guys are trying to charge me cancellation fees and other fees.. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM...
i will be taking this further if they do not refund me in full. its there mistake and they are trying to charge me for it. same on you.. i will have to put a complain with the insurance provider and ask them to investigate this and why are the providers still working with them as i am not the 1st they have done this to. i will make sure they are taken of the panel. i will to see the outcome before i proceed. by the FCA rules the broker have to tel the customer in black and what what commission they are receiving, which is not on any paper work. also they have to notify of the cancellation charges upfront in paperwork not hide it.

I want to make a special shout out to Carter, who has been very helpful and polite on the phone, as have all of your staff. I even gave Carter some feedback and he was very receptive.

As always, Claire Whyte, from Peacock Insurance Services hasn't let me down. Ive been dealing with Claire for a number of years now and nothing is ever to much trouble. Claire is always extremely helpful and always delivers the cover i require every time.
Personally, i wouldn't go anywhere else.

absolute shower of s##te they gave me a quote over the phone (Francis) I accepted the quote he never called me back never replied to my emails totally ignored me , for what ??? I don’t understand you gave me quote I accepted I was willing to make full payment over the phone but you just blanked me , so rude
I even called your office , and again loads of promised call backs from Francis , but nothing. I was completely ignored.

Don’t waste your time with these people they are messers and disorganised. Use tradex or covea.

My caravan policy does not expire 11th march 2025
After numerous phone calls and voicemails and texts to renew off their customer services over the past 3 weeks was stressful harrasment

I was pressured into renewing fed up of phone calls so i renewed policy 4th march

yesterday .
I decided to take on instalments
Was told the price was £205.00 including interest and their £10.00 fee .
When i recived copy of credit agreement last night there was another £15 to be added on for the company they use to do credit check which i was never told about which know the policy would cost me £220. The cash price was£174.00 if i paid upfront.
I phone up this morning to query this and was told yes thats correct even though i got email stating total cost was £205.00
And if i cancel i will be charged £35.00 fee out of my £46.00 deposit and policy is not due until 11.3.25 and i need to send email to peacocks to cancel credit aggrement or the credit company will charge me £10 for delaying to sign agreement
Im shocked at this treatment and harrasment i got when policy was due to renew 3 weeks prior to expiry of policy and its a disgrace the cancellation of charge £35.00 charge after 24hrs s if cancel this

Rang the company and the phone was picked up almost immediately by a very professional Megan. Great to hear a human voice and not be passed from pillar to post.

Claire dealt with my query so professionally and promptly. The customer service was second to none - it was a pleasure to correspond with Claire over the phone & via email. Her efforts made my house sale finalise within the timeframe I had hoped.

Absolute scam and disgusting from peacock.
I provided all proofs of trading and information before they gave me a policy, only to cancel it less than a month into the policy taking out a monthly payment ontop of a large deposit. Now are declining a refund of any sort.
