This course is organized in a way that is easy to understand even for beginners like me, and if you have any questions, you can send a message to a professor, who will respond kindly and quickly. Lots of flashcards, games, worksheets, readings are provided to help you focus more on your studies with fun. I highly recommend this course to anyone preparing for the PTCE!

The professor was awsome anytime I need help with anything he will respond and if I still need more info he will schedule an appointment and actually help u til I understand the materiality

This course provides all the information you need, making it thorough but still digestible, and not extremely hard to get through.The hints to remember medications are very helpful, and the course explains procedures and why we do them, rather than just saying the procedure and leaving it at that. The math part of the course is also great, not overly convoluted and easily expands on math concepts already commonly known. Dr. Emmel, the instructor, also checks in frequently to ensure you are understanding the concepts, so should you struggle to grasp something, support is well within reach! To anyone looking to take the PTCE, I suggest giving this course a try.

The program Pharmacy Tech Scholar was very user friendly and easy to understand. The process from start to finish exceeded my expectations, especially the videos it felt like a real classroom environment. I also found the weekly discussions helpful too for the practical side of pharmacy. I feel prepared to work as a pharmacy technician.

The website is easy to use, everyone is friendly, there are tons of resources, lectures are structured in an easy-to-understand manner, and the extra activities are genuinely helpful. I definitely recommend this program!

The course is extremely informative and gives so much important information. I've taken other courses in the span of my career as a pharmacy technician, and without a doubt, this is far superior, and I feel much more prepared to take my PTCE. My previous course only very briefly touched on the top 200 drugs, whereas this one gives comprehensive information on them. I love that there is a video of the instructor as well as slides to go along with the lecture. It makes taking notes and studying much easier.

The extra material that is required reading and preferred reading, only found to be somewhat helpful. If you want a lot of extra work that gives a little more than what the instructor is giving you, then it may be right for you, but I found that I didn't really need it to perform well on the tests.

The Pharmacy Math portion, I wish he would have spent more time on and done more examples working through with us, as I am terrible at math and needed more help and instruction on this section. The required reading did not help me, as I need to see it and hear it being performed in person, rather than just looking and reading it in a book.

Overall, I thought that he spent a good amount of time covering the material in order to prepare me for the exams. Only a few times did I feel rushed. As I mentioned before, The slides are so helpful. and a visual and auditory learner, I got the material in both ways and it just helped to cement it in my memory.

I am coming to the end of my course, and it's been very organized. Dr. Emmel is very professional and easy to contact. The overall course is very well put together and organized. There are videos, exams, additional resources, flash cards, and more. There are also live sessions with Dr. Emmel, which are very helpful. All of the modules are to the point and effective. Anyone looking to take a course for a Pharmacy Technician, this is the way to go. It was a wonderful experience, and I hope anyone who's having trouble trying to choose a course chooses this one. I am a more intuitive/self-directed learner and tend to struggle with the pacing of classroom environments. At the same time, I've learned to recognize the importance of didactic instruction, especially as it provides structure and context, and as a gateway to further knowledge. Dr. Emmel is easy to understand, offers concrete guidance and examples, and engages with students directly. This program offers a variety of resources to empower students of any learning style, makes the pharmacy world at large accessible, and renders the PTCE navigable.

I had a really positive experience with Pharm Tech Scholar. The platform itself is simple to use, and the learning was really effective. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional support. Dr. Emmel is incredibly sweet and supportive!!

I really enjoyed being able to complete the course online. The lectures were informative and easy to follow. Taking exams at the end of each course allowed for me to be able to have a full understanding of what I was learning. Being able to connect with the instructor at any time was comforting The course was not easy however it was presented in a way that allowed for me to learn and be successful in completing. I was happy to know that I could complete it on my own time and was able to extend the time I needed. Thank you!

In the time I have been working on completing this course, I am very much impressed with the quality and functionality of this website and all the features it presents. A lot has clearly gone into the making of this website alone, up to date information is in the course and the video lectures are updated frequently. I feel confident in reviewing this material that I have been given for passing the PTCE and achieve my national certification. I also had my own personal life get in the way of studying for this, in October of 2024 I was affected by a natural disaster and unfortunately lost my car for three and a half months, along with my grandfather passing away following my car being repaired. I lost a lot of time to complete this course, and upon mentioning it to Dr. Emmel, he granted me a complimentary 6 month extension due to my circumstances. Without that I would not have been able to finish on time, and so I greatly thank Dr. Emmel for this and it is a reflection of the man behind the course and what all has been put into this to help those wanting to become pharmacy technicians. I also like the weekly lectures where you can join in with other participants of the course to ask live questions and get assistance with any areas they might be lacking in. Overall a very thorough course and study guide with up to date information.

Haven’t finished the course yet, But I can tell quite an effort was put into it. The interactive learning activities is the best part about it in my opinion. Free access to a bunch of textbooks beside the lectures was also very useful. The lectures are very well structured and easy to follow through. I’m glad I chose this course to get my qualification.

This online class is great! It teaches you step by step and gives you an exam to evaluate your studying efficiency.

The course is in depth, but easy to understand. I'd definitely recommend for anyone interesting in taking a Pharmacy Tech course!

I have over 10 years experience as a pharmacy tech and I have already passed the PTCE in the past and I still learned alot from this course. I took it as a refresher before I take the PTCE again as I let it lapse 7 years ago.

A self-paced course with great student-instructor communication. Course work was interactive and enjoyable.
