I purchased this course as a refresher to prepare for the PTCE. I have yet to schedule the exam, but overall I thought the course material to be well-organized and hopefully insightful to the level of passing the exam. Thank you for your suggestions on what to study for the top 200+ medications chapters, and the helpful hints on how to remember them! It was especially helpful for me to play the audio/video feature while simultaneously reviewing the Chapter PowerPoints, as it simulated a daily lecture environment that helps me learn. For the cost of this course, I found this course to be a good buy; a good study tool; five stars. next step is to pass the exam .. wish me luck!

Room for improvement: add more examples in the course in the part of pharmacy calculations. Examples that can be met in an exam or real life.

I have worked in a pharmacy for years and finally decided to get my tech license I’m about 60 percent through this course and even though I felt like I knew a lot working in the pharmacy there has been a lot of new things this program has taught me I’m excited to finish the course and gain knowledge for my future

I like how in the videos it went into detail, and they were easy to understand. If you needed help you could always ask the teacher, but the most help was taking notes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Also, I’m super thankful that this course is affordable. I’d recommend this course to anyone. My mother is considering taking this course after seeing me finish this course. This is sooo much better than going in class-considering that I work an interesting schedule. I have no complaints about this program.
The only thing that I’d like to recommend is adding a virtual lab aspect-if you’re willing to do that.

The professor is really interactive in the virtual classroom meetings and he is always available for any questions or concerns through the message board. I’m feeling very prepared to take the PTCE.

This program has helped me tremendously in preparing for the PTCE. When I first began the course I was nervous that it would be a lot of information thrown at me all at once. It turned out that this course is perfectly paced and it’s broken up into sections so the course material is easier to retain. I 1000% recommend this course for anyone wanting to become a certified pharmacy technician!!!

I haven’t taken very many online courses, but this one was very good. It was informative, simple, and easy to follow, and provided all the information I needed.

Dr. Emmel is a wonderful teacher and very helpful and encouraging every step of the way! He teaches the material in such a way that anyone can learn. I suggest following any recommendations he gives throughout the course and you will be golden!

I began this course one month ago and am now almost complete. This has proven to be an informative, self-paced option for satisfying PTCB requirements. It's also the most affordable course listed in PTCB's directory. Aaron Emmel's communication style was great, and I also found his recommended supplementary material helpful.

A self paced and detailed learning environment. Especially, for busy individuals.

The program is laid out in an easy to understand format and any questions I have are answered promptly by Dr. Emmel. I have no doubt I'll be able to complete the class in a timely manner.

Pharmacy Tech Scholar is everything you hope for in an online learning platform. Along with being creative in various teaching methods, Dr. Emmel is prompt to respond to messages, draws attention to detail, empathetic to various learning needs and styles, and is an expert level in teaching incoming students with little to no field experience. I am a current student and work full time and learning with the guidance of this course is reassuring. I highly recommend this course.

If I would have taken a few Community College classes covering the same information, it would have cost me about 4 times more than the flat rate fee offered! Great price for the information presented!
It was great learning theory behind the procedures of the pharmacy, and applying what I learned even as a current Clerk in the pharmacy. Overall, great program!!

I’ve wanted to become a pharmacy tech for a while and this course is great for those not willing to spend 10k at an institute. Follow along the videos to ptcb study books and lots of practice and studying and you’ll do great!

This is an excellent course for those that wish a fast paced and bare bones PTCE prep. Perfect for those with any other tech level or higher medical background or those that need a refresher before cert exam. If you have very little medical background it might be a little to bare bones however, perhaps a more comprehensive course that provides more A&P and basic bio-sciences information might be useful. If you do chose this PTCE prep course you can expect helpful and friendly help throughout the program.

I took the PTCB Exam today and was utterly disappointed. The exams provided within the course were nothing like the ones I took during the PTCB. They were worded completely differently and I found the Pharmacy Tech Scholar test question extremely easy in comparison. I currently have a preliminary fail on the exam and that frankly was not the score I was expecting to recirve based my consistent high performance on the full simulation exam offered at the end of the course.

So glad that I have found this online course as I am working and learning at the same time because it’s very convenient. The courses are very easy to follow and understand as a foreign learner. Also would like to recommend for those who are not familiar with pharmaceuticals terms cause this course is very good at explaining.
