As someone who is going into their P1 year, I think that this course has amazing prerequisites information and allows me to work at a pharmacy to get ahead

The lecture videos are very informative, and the readings are relevant to tested material. I feel that the sections I have taken so far are preparing me for the real exam.

The video lectures were very well-organized and easy to follow. The information was for the most part intuitive and Dr. Emmel does a great job with pacing and explaining everything clearly, including specific concepts and processes while also indicating what is and what is not expected on the PTCE. Overall, it is clear that these concepts and skills presented are useful in the workplace to being a knowledgeable Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Dr. Emmel really made this course standout! His extensive knowledge within the pharmaceutical field, skill and real-world examples that he incorporates into each module facilitates the learning process and makes it easier for me to apply this learning unto the PTCE and my pharmaceutical endeavors.

I am so glad that I chose this course for my pharm tech certification. With this course, I have passed my PTCE on the first try. I have had no experience in the pharmacy, and the foundation of my knowledge for the exam has come from this course. I feel that this course does a great job of going over the material covered on the exam comprehensively and thoroughly without excess fluff. Dr. Emmel explains the material in a very organized and easy to understand way. And what makes this course really stand out to me is how personal it feels. You can tell Dr. Emmel truly cares about this course and his students, even hosting live meetings to answer student questions, concerns, and other topics he find important. He also responds to messages very quickly. I feel I got such a great value for this course, and my experience taking the course has been nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend it. Covers an excellent amount of material and delivers it quick enough to keep momentum but not so fast that it feels overwhelming. A couple different areas seem to have fallen behind a bit, though not by too much, which makes sense considering the state of the medical world these last 6 or so years. Overall a great course, just needs some minor updates.

Very organized program and easy to follow!

This program is excellent! I have been out of pharmacy for almost 20 years, and was nervous about what I didn't know. But Dr. Emmel does a great job explaining everything that you need to know for the PTCE! I'm excited to be able sit for the test by July!

At Pharmacy Tech Scholar, you are bound for success if you're looking to get back to work and willing to embrace a new career in pharmaceutical industry as a pharmacy technician. I did my research online and found that Dr. Emmel's program was very competitive and affordable in terms of price if you're having difficulty paying your fee. His instruction is very thorough and easy to follow and understand. He also has virtual classroom sessions if you have questions or struggling to understand certain material modules. I highly recommend Dr. Emmel's online program if you want to pass your PTCE to become a pharmacy technician, at your own pace!

The overall class is great and this does well to prepare someone for the PCTE, and the price is the best you will find. However I live in central time and with working a full time job I was never able to attend any of the virtual classes. The professor is practically on call 24/7 I think because the man is an expert at responding to emails anytime of day. My critiques with the curriculum itself would be that some information needs updated and there are some areas that need more coverage and were not covered at all. For example, the drugs covered I found that many had old brand names that are now days not commonly used to refer to that drug and needed updated to the more common names. Also the math, although those modules are well rounded and include all math that was present on the PCTE I did not agree with the way many of problems were solved. I found other methods that made more since to me as a student so I hope in the future they may offer different methods of solving the same equations. Lastly, I believe that some areas that need covered are individual state pharmacy board regulations, and more curriculum surrounding packaging of drugs with ventricular hoods ect.

For me listening to a lecture and taking notes then taking a test on that chapter is a great way to learn

Comprehensive course! I feel well-prepared for the PTCE.

I really recommend this course. It is comprehensive. It'll prepare you not only to pass the PTCE, but also to be a good pharmacy technician.

Gives content in an easy to follow way throughout the entirety of the class. I love the free form nature of how you can learn at your own pace.

PTS has made it very easy to digest and study all the topics and knowledge I need to prepare for my exam! The course is palatable and straightforward, and I get to study without the time pressure and distractions I've experienced with in-person institutions. I am happy to have discovered the course, and I'm excited to get my foot in the door of pharmacy.

This company is great and the instructor is very engaged with the students! It is very informative and understanding! I highly recommend this course over any other platform!

This course is great! I didn't expect Dr. Emmel to be so engaging and responsive. He did a awesome job at explaining everything in a simple, easy-to-grasp manner, even when the topic is complex. I love that I could learn at my own pace and still receive support or help whenever I need it. I have already recommended this course to a close friend that was interested in becoming a certified PT and I HIGHLY recommend it to any reading this as well :)

Really enjoyed this course. This course is very informational and like how they have videos and PowerPoints which you can follow along. There are practice tests after every section which is good practice in order to learn the information taught. This course is flexible and you can finish on your own time which I really enjoyed. If your wanting to take a pharmacy tech course you should take this one.

Dr. Emmel is very responsive with the emails!

Pharm Tech Scholar made preparing for the PTCE simple and easy. Dr.Emmel does a very good job at explaining things directly and not getting too complicated while still going into detail and thoroughly covering the subject. The wide variety of exams and PTCE Simulation Exam are incredible at preparing you and assuring you will pass. I would recommend this to anybody interested.
