I can’t recommend Phoenix Motorcycle Training at Foots Cray highly enough! From start to finish, the team made the whole journey to getting my Full A licence an absolute pleasure.

A massive thank you to Mark, Sam, Chris, Nick, and Harrison – each of them played a huge part in building my confidence and sharpening my skills on the bike. Their patience, professionalism, and clear way of teaching made everything click into place.

Thanks to their guidance, I passed both my Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests first attempt, with completely clean sheets – something I honestly never thought I’d achieve! The training was well-structured, supportive, and always focused on safety as well as enjoyment.

If you’re looking for the best place to train, look no further. The Foots Cray team are outstanding, and I couldn’t have done it without them.

I’ve been with Phoenix for years — right from wobbling through my first CBT to smashing my full A licence. The team’s been amazing; they’ve literally watched me grow.

Massive shoutout to Mark and Sam at the Erith branch — absolute legends! I started my journey with Mark and wrapped it up with Sam, two top lads who somehow managed to keep me upright and confident on two wheels.

If you want a place that’ll have you learning, laughing, and leaving as a proper rider (and maybe a better person), Phoenix is the one!

Very good team. Always willing to help in any area and will do the best they can as long as you are competent riders and show your ability. You will get the CBT, but don't be shy if the trainers are not helping you. Ask for a new one. They all have their own personalities, and sometimes, you need someone willing to go that extra mile to help you. And I would highly recommend this school.

I completed my CBT at another training school before discovering Phoenix.
I wish I had found them sooner as my experience with the other school was not to standard.

A 90 min big boy conversion from the 125cc.
My MOD 1 and MOD 2 training.
The professionalism and the knowledge from the instructors were 10/10.

The instructions was amazing as always really professional ppl. However the actual place it is a shame. Kitchen area really not clean feels like for years toilet omg where to start I was there from 7:30am to 4:50 pm and is make me feel sick when I have to use the toilet. I understand it is an old place but clean can be done anywhere. Specially when u have to be there all day make a cup coffee and go to toilet was not fun. But a massive thank to Shane and mark they where amazing 🤩

Passed both MOD 1 and MOD 2 first try, everybody is friendly and gives clear instructions, they go in depth with all things about the bike both on and off the road. It was an amazing experience and I’m so grateful to all of them, I know get to ride where and when ever I like, I definitely recommend, I’ll be using them again to get my full A license and for there advance training sessions as well.

The team was amazing they had a new teacher today and was helping him throught his learning and also making sure that what he delivered to me and the others learning was correct and helping us throught all the turns and manoeuvres they was very friendly and even recommended other training sessions to help me out once I have my own bike

I have gone with Phoenix for my entire motorcycle training experience. This started off with my CBT back in March 2023, followed by my theory test earlier this year, and passing my module 1 test earlier today. I am currently due to have my module 2 training and test around the end of next month.

For my module 1 training yesterday, Sam Roodenburgh was appointed as my instructor, and I genuinely cannot commend him enough for working with me. I turned up late to my course, and I turned up stressed and was struggling to focus.

Sam gave me exactly what I needed; a kick up the backside (not literally). He essentially worked with me by taking me through the scenarios, but reinforced them with me. No sugar coating, none of that crap. Plain old simple, and straight to the point.

Due to Sam's impeccable teaching skills, despite turning up yesterday in an absolute state, thinking I wouldn't even make it through the day, I was able to attend my module 1 test today, and passed first time with zero minors. None of that would have possible without Sam's tutoring and unique teaching skills. Truly a remarkable motorcycle instructor.

Phoenix; make sure you keep him.

Now all I am waiting for, is my module 2 training and test next month; hoping to pass that first time as well. Very much looking forward to it.

Update on 29/09/2025:

I am now pleased to say that I attended my module 2 training and test approximately a week ago, and passed first time.

I now hold a full Category A motorcycle licence and it’s all thanks to Phoenix.

Overall great experience, instructors brilliant. Help you with everything you need. 5*.

Brilliant day. Harry was great, really made you feel comfortable on the bike before heading out onto the road. Would 100% recommend the team.
