I absolutely LOVE Planthood. I am a big carnivore and although eat a lot of veg, I thought this a good way to eat less meat and even more veg. I go for high protein options and the food is delicious. All meals are quick and easy to cook, and there is no way I would’ve come up with such a variety of yummy dishes by myself. I like the fact that everything is recyclable too!

Planthood offer affordable quick easy, healthy and tasty meals. We have had them now for 4 weeks and this has taken away the decision of what to cook for 3 evenings which has been great.
The menu choices are varied and interesting there is no waste. You find yourself eating vegetables and lentils etc that you most probably wouldn't buy and you soon realise how healthy the dishes are. We have definitely enjoyed the food.

Too much faff, couldn’t freeze fresh veg so had to cook when didn’t fancy it, or if too busy, and wasn’t keen on the sickly sauces with small lentils that really looked like dog food.
Good idea but could be freezable with veg & sauces ready prepared & frozen, peanuts could have been dry roasted already rather than having to faff with them too. Only really liked the Enchiladas dish.

This was my first time ordering from planthood and I really enjoyed the meals within my first order.
Packaged well for transport, recyclable packaging and easy cooking instructions.
I think the additional an accompaniments could have been bigger … eg the coco ut yogurt with the curry was small and so was the hot harissa sauce with the aubergine dish but I would certainly order again.
Would like to see menu for one instead of just 2 and 4

Delicious food, really enjoyed the sauces and the different recipes. Not sure going forward re the price, will have to see if it feels worth it to us. Would probably prefer recipes printed out as hate reading them on my phone, but appreciate this would be more waste. Would like to know how to make the sauces should we choose to try to recreate the recipes.

Really love the food , great to have dishes that I would not normally cook , tastes fresh and healthy and I love how easy they are to prepare . I really look forward to my box arriving . . Only small thing is some of them take longer to prepare than stated . particularly if you have sweet potatoes or aubergines to cook

I have used many meal delivery services. Planthood meals are consistently tastier and use more interesting/higher quality ingredients. I’m not vegan although I am veterinarian and I don’t miss dairy/cheese at all as the sauces are so delicious. Yes it’s quite expensive but it’s basically restaurant quality so totally worth it in my opinion.

Made my first purchase of 3 meals for 2 people. Absolutely blown away by the presentation, delivery, taste & ease to make.
I can’t wait for next months box. Yes it is too expensive for me to have weekly but they were a joy to cook and felt like a restaurant meal enjoyed at home.
Would most definitely recommend. Also we are big meat eaters but felt the flavours matched still with our tastes. I am a tofu convert now!

I’ve tried a number of box meals incusng Gousto, Green Chef and Mindful Chef. While they’re all fine, there’s a lot of a prep time involved and the veggie options are pretty carb heavy. This is a game changer, far, far quicker with really imaginative, tasty food. I’ve not had a dud meal yet. I’m not vegan, but I’ve been veggie for years, I genuinely don’t miss the dairy element in these meals and they’re super healthy too: The whole experience has been nothing but positive.

I’ve really enjoyed planthood after signing up on a whim during early days of motherhood when I didn’t have time to cook. The recipes are all absolutely delicious and it’s hard to narrow down choices each week. Understanding a bit tofu heavy but there are enough recipes to avoid it in every meal. Instructions are clear and most recipes are super quick. Minimal packaging too. Personally I’d like to see the full recipe before choosing my options rather than just the cooking time, but overall a great treat to diversify my meals.

I’ve just completed my first week of Planthood meals and I’m genuinely impressed. The quality of the food is excellent, particularly the chef-prepared sauces, and the overall ease of preparation and cooking makes the experience very enjoyable. Everything feels thoughtfully designed — from the imaginative and varied meal selection to the convenient delivery, clear recipe instructions, and minimal ingredients.

As a vegetarian, I was looking for more inspiring meals, the chance to try new recipes, and a stronger focus on nutrition — particularly protein and fibre intake. Planthood aligns beautifully with these goals. The meals are not only visually appealing but also incredibly satisfying.

That said, I’m not completely sold on tofu, so I’d love to see a wider variety of protein options beyond tofu and tempeh.

The only downside for me is the price. While I can appreciate that the cost reflects the quality of the organic ingredients and prepared sauces, it does sit slightly above my weekly budget. I plan to continue for a month and then reassess, but I imagine I’d be more likely to order on a bi-weekly basis long term.

I’ve given 4 stars as the website isn’t always the most intuitive to navigate. I would also really appreciate physical recipe cards, as well as a clearer breakdown of the ingredients used within the prepared sauces.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Planthood. I’ve really enjoyed both preparing and eating the meals so far — I just wish it was a little more affordable for regular use.

Delivery was good, on time! Packaging was great, food was cooled by recyclable ice bags, very little plastic. Food was okay..very tasty, good portions, downside some ingredients were poor standard ie.heart of cavalo Nero which was woody, and some oyster mushrooms beyond best. Sauces in all meals I thoroughly enjoyed though would like to know more about ingredients. Not sure I’ll remain faithful

Excellent service and meals were very good. Great idea to go to their website for the instructions/recipes, saves paper waste! (notice that someone gave a review saying no instructions - obviously didnt read the note and QE code that came with the food!).
Will order again, but not too often as I live on my own means the three meals for a week give me 6 meals and same two nights running - or freeze them of course.

The meals were good, although I still don’t like Kale.
I find it difficult to plan as the meals are for 2 and I have to think ahead to know if I can keep half the meal, cooked, for another night or try to halve the ingredients and cook within the date suggested.
I have a friend in a similar situation.

Unfortunately we had to throw almost all of it away because there wasn’t any instructions with the meals on how to cook them.

Tried planthood after using Gousto for years and more recently GreenChef. Got 4 meals , 2 were delightful and 2 slightly less so. Struggled to pick low calorie meals , but found the meals we ordered were easy to make. I use an app to record food and no recipe card is a bit of a pain, relying on a QR code I’m not a big fan of, would definitely try another order but am not a convert of Planthood just yet

For a start, the recipes are so imaginative, so I know I'll never get bored of them. They're easy to prepare; which is important for me as I have a disability, and find it hard to stand up for long periods in the kitchen. The portions are so generous as well. I've been a vegan for many years, and it's great to know that I'm eating my way to health, with its recipes designed for better gut health. What a great find. Thank you, Planthood!

I've just had my first week with the meals, and couldn't be happier. I'm a gluten free vegan, so not easy to cater for. But the meals have been totally delicious, and I really enjoyed cooking them too. I was able to invite a friend over for lunch and it was all so easy. I cannot recommend these meals highly enough. It's literally changed my life. 🤩
