A preliminary result should be provided immediately upon completion of the online proctored exam. After completing 35 hours of required coursework and investing significant time preparing, it was frustrating and emotionally difficult to finish the exam without knowing whether I had passed. Waiting an additional 24 to 48 hours for the result unnecessarily added stress to an already demanding experience.

I understand the cerification is supposed to be challenging, but he questions were way to subjective, with muliple correct answers

My PMP journey was not straightforward. My first application was rejected partly because of how my project experience was described, and partly because my diploma was issued back in 1996 and had to be aligned with modern education norms. That meant additional visits to institutions and extra documentation before I could resubmit properly. After resubmitting, I was randomly selected for audit, which added extra stress, but the process was clear and eventually passed.

For preparation, I used the RMC Learning Solutions and PMI Study Hall. Finding an exam slot was also difficult, so I had to take the exam in another country because local test centers were fully booked before the next PMP exam version cycle.

In the end, I passed with Above Target in People and Process, and Target in Business Environment. It was demanding, sometimes frustrating, but the result feels fully earned. Overall, my experience with PMI was positive, although the application guidance could be clearer for complex real-life projects.

Overall the test was what I expected, thank goodness I didn’t allow the check-in process to hinder my performance. My exam was scheduled for 10 am est. logged on 30 mins before , but still had to wait 3 hours and 15 mins before the exam opened. I understand that a lot of people were trying to take the exam before the new format kicked in, but PMI should have been prepared for the influx as I am sure they see this when they update their content and exams.

My application process was seamless as I had my CAPM which allowed me to easily register for the PMP. I appreciate that PMI pivots with the environment we are in and prepares us for it. The exam itself was a bit difficult. Preparation is key, PMI studyhall helped me to prepare for the exam and although i've got my PMP i will continue to use it.

Even though PMI provides so many excellent tools and certification cadences on their website, they still provide excellent 1:1 support by phone. The fact that I could easily reach a helpful human being who was both knowledgeable and encouraging when I had to manage a necessary but unexpected change kept me on track and able to succeed. So A+ on people skills, PMI. Thank you!

Long waiting, 2hours of waiting time for exam to start.

The requirements for audits was not very clear and I had to re-write my experience three times broke getting accepted. Clearly describing expectations would be helpful.
The proctored exam was an absolute nightmare. The platform had extreme trouble working with Wimdows and required multiple workarounds to even allow my computer to connect. I was also made to wait nearly three hours before a Proctor let me into my exam. This was an extremely frustrating and stressful experience and not one I would recommend to others.

It was good but some questions seem like you didn’t want to know if I knew the answer but rather trick me between which one is the better option

I really enjoyed taking this exam. It was intense but worth it. And the staff at PearsonVue were very accommodating and super understanding. The application is straightforward if you qualify and the instructions are very easy to follow.

Learning new material for the PMP exam has broadened my capabilities to apply the best PM skills at my workplace.

PMI was great for the study aspect, but the day of the exam was very unorganized with my exam starting almost 2 hours later than anticipated and with lack of support while trying to check into the exam. There was no button to "launch exam" or "check in" and it was not until very late I found it after clicking the button to "reschedule exam"

The lessons and the skills taught are relevant and clearly laid out. I felt as though I would become a better leader based off of these lessons.

PMI is truly excelling in every aspect. From the diverse course options and opportunities for active members to the numerous other possibilities, I feel excited about what's ahead. Thanks to PMI, I’m genuinely eager for the future.

Project management disciplines

Overall the process was great. I wish I would have taken a different path to obtain some of the overarching knowledge, perhaps prep courses or something rather than relying solely on PMI Test Prep and PMBOK. I did not feel confident on the test at all, but managed to get by.

The test was well structured, and it conformed with what a real certification should be.
