Installation went reasonably well; but after a month or so the charger malfunctioned and podpoint seem totally uninterested in fixing it. Have called them 3-4 times, but they donât respond. Full cost... ãã£ãšèŠã

Disgraceful from start to finish
Disgraceful from start to finish. To cut a long story short, I used a Pod Point Solo 3 for three months. During this time I had to contact Pod Point 3 times regarding a range of issues. Ultimately, their end response was that the charger was faulty and I had the choice of paying £190 for an engineer, followed by further charges once they decided what parts were needed, or pay full price for a new charger. Complaints refused to offer any alternative so I'll be paying for different company to install a new charger.
Avoid at all costs, terrible hardware, terrible software and terrible customer service.

I had a charger installed, that needed an extra âearth bondâ (which the electrician who then fitted says it didnât need as it was already bonded through heating system). I sent the company the photographs to activate, rang multiple times, emailed and tried to navigate their online forms.

Awful company. Complained about them double charging me in mid December. After weeks of lack of response from their customer services many many emails.. all Iâve had are several responses telling me their Finance are looking into this. Itâs been 6 weeks now!! Save yourself the hassle. Do not use this company.
Iâm frustrated with the podpointâŠ
Iâm frustrated with the podpoint chargers Gallagher Retail Park in Wednesbury. Every station have been out of service for months, limiting options for electric vehicle owners. Itâs disappointing that communication from the service provider is so poor. Contacting customer service is nearly impossible, with automated responses and long wait times. This situation not only affects my ability to charge my vehicle but also raises concerns about the infrastructure's reliability. I hope the Podpoint addresses these issues and improves communication.

Get your chargers from elsewhere. Great when the charger works but good customer service and customer experience is all about how a company handles problems with thier equipment. Our charger has not been charging our car properly for past 6 months, it keeps cutting out during the charge. We have been back and fourth emailing them for months where they tell us to try methods over and over again.... anything to avoid sending anyone out. So we have been paying a fortune having to charge the car away from the home as we cant get a full charge from home as charger cuts out constantly. Horrendous company with poor aftercare

This companyâs customer service is frankly appalling. After my hoe charger stopped working for the second time in 3 years I tried to get assistance. After several phone calls to operators who go through a series of requirements and several emails eventually they agreed to send out an engineer to investigate in over a monthâs time. I paid for a guarantee nearly 3 years ago.
Donât buy an installation: this company is untrustworthy and cynically indifferent to its customerâs rights .

I paid £1,100 for my install, the engineer was over two hours late, not his fault but scheduling issues.
This left me with no charger and again for two weeks running I had to pay £400 for rapid charging.
I rang pod point, no morsel or empathy for the situation. I asked them to rebook the fitting so that I had home charging and they placed it a week later.
I only have gone with these as itâs on the wall and I needed it to be live.
I would strongly advise using them and go to someone else.
Customer services were rubbish, referring me to a project manager but then emailing me.
I would have expected for the delay some kind of good will gesture but no.

My solo3 after only 1 month out of warranty started showing a red fault light - after 2 months chasing the technical team , they advised it was the communication chip and the whole unit would need replacing at a cost of £700. I have declined and fitted a different charger - which upon replacement they advised the solo 3 was full of water - not a quality built item at all followed by very poor customer service who kept cancelling my enquiry when passing to their technical team a very frustrating experience- there better out there than podpoint

Horrendous service
My home charger has not been working for 13 days! I have emailed a million time, logged a complaint, chased a complaint, called "customer service". I managed to get an approitment for a technician to come and fix the faulty machine and they cancelled 9 mins before they were due to come.
I can not get a satisfactory responce nor an answer to emails sent to the complaint team.
Do not use this company. Quick to take your money but do not back their product up.
Non existent support.
Charger status incorrect in app which could have left me stranded. They showed as available but there was no power to the chargers at the location. Phoned support, chose the option for a callback after waiting on hold. They never called back, even two days later. Worst public charging support I've come across.
The incorrect status remains days later.
I also dont like the pre payment top up system which means they are always hanging on to your money.

I was an early user of Pod Point and still have the Solo 2 fitted more than three years ago. It was not easy to contact them then and its impossible now. All of their on line help is useless. Ai hasn't arrived yet their support systems do not provide support. It's ghost company when it comes to support. The hardware however has worked perfectly once it doesn't then I will look elsewhere.

Purchased my pod-point and waited 2 weeks for installation pretty normal I thought!!!
However on installation date totally different story the engineer arrived on time but he seemed to be in a rush a bit strange as he only had two to install on that date! When he left he had not connected my iPhone to the account he checked it on his own phone and he said it was all up and running and then left total visit 1 1/2 hours maximum.
When he left I struggled to connect the unit to the wifi and my phone which took a while it seemed to work for about 1/2 hour but the apparently it suffered a brown fault and since then did not work!! I contacted the customer service dept and eventually got told that I would have to wait 3 more weeks before an engineer could get back to me to ( in there words REPAIR IT) I told them I was not happy with waiting for so long and also I didnât want my NEW pod -point repairing I wanted a new one installed as soon as possible!!
The customer service team are not very customer friendly and I was told I would just have to wait.
You do not expect a unit that cost £1049 to be delivered and not work and then be told I would have to wait for another call out to REPAIR IT!!!
So if you are looking for an EV POD for your vehicle
DO NOT BUY A POD-POINT!!!

I have a home charger and it has been faulty twice in the space of 6 months. We only have a EV so have to pay extortionate prices to charge in public car parks or use holiday from work until it gets fixed, which incidentally is a joke aswell because they take days to come out and fix. On this occasion i have been waiting 5 days to get a scheduled date, now i received itâs not for another 2 weeks. DONT FALL FOR TRAP OF BIG BRAND MUST BE OK! DEFINITELY NOT WITH HOME CHARGER!!

This company please avoid as they take your money and do not commit to installation, there is a lack of communication, from them with installation dates and correspondence. When you try and speak with them they say they need some more information when they have received everything. I am still waiting for a refund. Avoid this company at all cost

I chose Podpoint to install my EV point at home because they claimed they were the faster installer on the market. Whilst doing my research their marketing department bombarded me with courtesy calls to encourage me to buy.
I then paid £927 upfront with the expectation of getting my EV point installed asap. I completed the necessary forms and sent photos to be reviewed. The next day, I had two emails suggesting an installation date, I couldnât do these dates due to being a teacher so I asked for a different date specifying Fridays. I heard nothing.
10 days later, I called the support centre and was told that the installation emails were an automated mistake and that the photos and necessary forms hadnât been reviewed yet but they would be in touch soon. 4 days later and still nothing. I call again and this time ask for a refund. There is no apology, no explanation and Iâm told it will take 10-15 days for my money to be refunded back to my account! WHAT!! So this company will have kept my money £927 for a month! Nice bit of interest for them for doing absolutely nothing apart from being a complete hassle for me.
Totally unreliable
Had this for just under 2 years. They came and fitted it quickly BUT the biggest problem is that it just isnât at all reliable. Whether we have it set to charge overnight or instant charge it very rarely charges for the full time we set. We thought weâd be able to set it to charge from midnight to 5am and the car would charge ready for the morning commute but we are now too wary to do this because of the number of times it just disconnects from the broadband. Even today we have had our cars charging all day and have had to keep going and resetting the pod point because the switch keeps tripping. Have contacted the company but they are adamant there is nothing wrong with it and the problem is our internet. We have even upgraded our internet but the pod point still keeps tripping. Weâre actively looking to change to a more reliable provider early next year.

I have a Solo 3 charger and its a 7kw charger but the output is only 2kw . I have contacted customer services for 3 days in a row and their response was terrible telling me it could take up to 48 hours to resolve. I am still waiting for a call back on how they are going to resolve this. Very, very poor service. Pod Point are happy to take your money but when you have an issue its impossible to speak to anyone that can sort it out.
