WORST EXPERIENCE EVER $383 FOR NOTHING!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER resulting in this online company KEEPING $383.38 in “fees” for No Couch, No Product whatsoever with unclear and conflicting communication that customer service (Jessica Carter and Dave P) claims they cannot refund. The 1st line of this company’s statement claims a “hassle-free delivery” which was nothing but a hassle from the start—I should’ve known better than to trust a large purchase from an online company. From the beginning, dates for delivery were completely off by a FULL MONTH (which we had planned/coordinated to be delivered on the dates we were given) due to an unforeseen water leak/renovation. I tried repeatedly to coordinate with their transportation company which assured me each time an automated delivery window could not be met to ignore the automations, that they would deliver on a certain day that worked for me, which they Did Not; in fact the opposite happened when dates/windows started coming closer together becoming completely unreasonable to the point of purposely accruing “fees”by sending texts/emails for less than 24 hours notice on days the company was closed (Sundays) so you could not “refuse” the delivery time—LITERALLY ON EASTER Sunday afternoon a delivery notice was sent saying the couch would arrive 9:30am the next day Monday, less than 24 hours notice on a holiday weekend when we were unavailable with family BUT could not call and refuse delivery on that same day as Sunday they are closed! Poly & Bark said “storage fees” were now accruing and had to be paid before any delivery (which I thought I would work out with customer service explaining this situation) but the transportation company kept on initiating delivery! I finally decided to just pay some fees just to get the couch delivered which Poly & Bark said they had sent to me (they did not, no email record/attached correspondence, and in fact quoted 2 different numbers up to $550!!)and were to be paid by the end of the week. When I contacted them the inquire the clarification of the actual amount and where to pay on Friday they said they had already started the return process (it was not yet the end of the week) and I would be charged NOT ONLY those fees but additional restocking fees and I would not be refunded the white glove service fee (setting up couch, etc) even though that service was clearly never provided (to this point “read the fine print on this option” was the excuse.) This company miscommunicated at best, but moreover blatantly lied through transportation and emails all the while acting helpful, and in the end kept $400 and returned my paid for couch without consent. The crazy part is as I had good intentions and really needed that couch in an already stressful situation, I was actually thinking of ordering again UNTIL I saw they kept $400 with no apology or recourse. Lessons learned. Unfortunate experience. I’m not sure I’ve ever written a negative review but I’m writing now hoping this saves others from a truly frustrating loss of an experience.

Beautiful Green Modern Sofa
Getting a fabric swatch was key to make sure the color was right. Ordering online was easy. I was kept updated on the status of my sofa order. The delivery process was great. Kept informed on the date. On the delivery date I could follow the truck online and knew exactly when it would arrive. Guys were great in unpacking and setting it up. Love the new sofa. Well made, with great cushions, I would definitely order from Poly and Bark again.

Beautiful dining chairs
I love Poly&Bark. As a designer, I try to source quality furnishings at a reasonable cost, and they always hit the mark. I bought 6 new dining chairs for my own home, and love them. The dark chocolate color is beautiful and easy to clean, and the shape of the chairs are comfortable and easy on the eye.

Brown Velvet Swivel Chairs
The set of swivel chairs look great, but I’m not sure they’re really worth the price. The delivery part could’ve been better — we ended up having to bring the chairs down ourselves since the delivery team doesn’t do that. Overall, I probably wouldn’t buy them again because the quality just didn’t match what I expected.
