Birmingham airport is running a scam with another company called mytriponline to scam fast-track passengers out of €79 when you buy fast-track tickets through the official Birmingham airport site. BEWARE, purchasing fast-track tickets will actually automatically enrol you into a 3month subscription with mytriponline that will charge you €78 euros 3 days later and you cannot get your money back, even the bank won't help!! Check out on trustpilot how many people have been scammed by searching mytriponline in the trustpilot site. It's a disgrace...........

Have flown out of quite a few airports over the years and Birmingham is by far the worst. Tui check pretty quick and efficient load of staff even at 4am. But security is a shambles queue to get in the queue then a queue to get in a lift then queue for actual security. Nightmare. Then the departures is carnage people sitting on floor in pubs and cafes eating meals. Men's toilets only few filthy cubicles and a big queue to use them. Departure gate and jet bridge to the plane the only thing that seem to function in this airport.

From very good to bad. Long queues, no space in the waiting area, cafes overcrowded, queues to the toilets, dirty, staff employed have no idea about customer service. DISASTER!!!

I’ve often used Birmingham airport but the system has gone downhill, never again, ques were awful for a 4.30pm flight, some people paid for express checkin that was also stuck in ques. I would hate a 6am flight when it’s at its peak. East Midlands for me from now on. Good luck travelling give yourself at least an extra hour

On 18th car driven out of carpark by person in balaclava UN-CHALLENGED. No-one aware until we arrived back and CCTV LOOKED AT. THIS CAR PARK IS NOT SECURE. THEIVES CAN FREELY WALK INTO THE CAR PARK AND STEEL YOUR CAR.
DO NOT RELY ON KEYS BEING ON YOUR PERSON WHEREVER YOU TRAVEL.

Shambolic. If the goal was to make the whole experience from leaving the parking lot to reaching the airline gate as slow, cumbersome and infuriating as possible, job done. Not a shred of common sense applied at any point. If you are planning to fly from Birmingham you need to get there at least three hours before departure. Better yet, fly from any other airport in the country.

Birmingham Airport is a complete shambles. The marshals that are their to help direct people to the right area of the airport are rude and unhelpful. I asked for directions to Jet 2 check in and was sent in the wrong direction and a couple who we're wanting the train we're sent to departure lounges.
On returning back to Birmingham found that you have to pay for the trolleys but spent an hour at baggage collection because the machine was broken. Birmingham Airport staff we're very unhelpful. Charging for the trolleys is disgraceful when other airports are free.
The staff that helped was Jet 2 staff who also had trouble with Birmingham Airport staff.

We regularly fly from here. In the past it has been absolute bedlam.
We got there expecting the worse for an early flight having heard some horror stories.
There was no queues outside. Check in to TUI was only about 30 mins.
Security from start to finish was about an hour. They are trying the best to make it better. But they are doing it in the middle of a building site.
I'm losing patience with this airport now as it starts your holiday off in a bad way.

Dreadful airport. Chaos everywhere. Large marquees are outside terminal building to cope with the queues. Flight left 3 hrs late. When we got back I am disabled and in a wheelchair I found all lifts in car park 1 were broken. I parked on level 4. No help from anyone. A kind member of the public pushed me up all the ramps to get to my car. Absolute disgrace. Rip off parking charges. Go to East mids or elsewhere.

Came down in lift from train to try and use the other entrance to security at the other end of the terminal. In the lift even policemen and airport staff were joking at what a complete mess the place had become. Doors opened into what can only be described as a war-zone. People as far as you could see, absolutely no organisation. Battled through the terminal to get to the other end, once I got there the queue still hadn't finished. Found the other entrance closed, with no signs anywhere to tell you of this. Surely with all the issues, open the old security hall which was still functioning with all the lanes still there??? Ended up having to walk back to the train station and get the train link back in order to bypass the queues that some people had been waiting in for 4 hours just to get in the lifts, not even join security queue. Once in security thanks to fast-track security from status, and a lot of persuation from me that I did in fact have fast track despite being told 'get in that lane you don't belong here.' Then agent at scanner shouted at me for pushing my tray into the scanner because apparently I was 'too quick and was unfair on everyone else....' I have 2 more flights booked from Birmingham this month, both have just been changed out of my own pocket because I can't bear this sh*tshow any longer. The whole management needs to resign and some kind of explanation for the mess they have created is badly needed.

Like others I had the misfortune of travelling from Edinburgh to Dusseldorf via Birmingham. Security was busy at EDI airport but we still only took 20 minutes to get through. Dusseldorf was around 5 minutes.
Birmingham…..Flight was early evening. Q Took well over an hour. What made it worse was there were no toilets anywhere. You would not treat animals like this. Genuinely an awful experience. For the UK 2nd largest city it has the infrastructure and staffing of a much smaller city. I will ensure if I have to go via anywhere again. It will not be BHX airport. Avoid….

Absolute joke of an airport. 2 hour queues at security, missed flight, no compensation or response to my complaint. Travelling with an 8 month old baby, no empathy from any staff. They even watched my wife sit on the airport floor to feed our baby, without offering her a chair. Never flying from there again, and I recommend no one else does either. £1.5k down and traumatised by the experience, thanks Birmingham airport!!

Assisted travel took way too long. The flight we had been on was quicker than the time it took to get us off and through to baggage claim. One person in charge of two wheelchairs, he nearly catapulted me out at one point as he pulled on the brake. Very badly organised, no one had a clue what was happening, lift could only take two at a time so we were dumped at the top while the others were collected and no one told us what was going on. I will NEVER use this airport again.

They’re doing repairs and painting right where people queuing, it’s not safe, some people has got health issues

I fly from Brum aiport all the time. The airport is grant, nothing fancy but it serves the purpose. Queues would be over an hour at times. If you fly Ryanair just get yourself a fast track for 5£ on the Ryanair app. It works even if you do it when you arrive at the aiport. However, if you need to book fast track on the Brum aiport website be aware you need to do it at least 6h before your departure time. Otherwise they'll take your 5£ and politely say they needed more time to process your application. No refund. LOL Brum airport!

Don’t fly from Birmingham Airport. Horrendous security queues. Staff shouting in your face trying to manage crowds. People stuck outside in endless queues. Terrible experience

Don't ever think about flying from Birmingham Airport. Due to the chaotic management of the changes to the security area we were over 1 hour in the cold standing outside in the. car park then a further hour before we were allowed to jump out of crowd of misery to board our flight at the last minute. Now Nick Baron, rather than accepting any blame, let alone apologising to his unfortunate customers who cover his £700,000 salary - has the audacity to blame the passengers.

Worst airport in the uk. Sack the staff and close it down and it would be better

Used Birmingham many times now and the experience is always poor with long queues for security. However, today was another level - absolutely ridiculous, an hour queue outside the terminal before you even started on the shambles inside. Signs indicate new technology being introduced - with no impact on queues while improvements are introduced, what a joke! If you're expecting to have a coffee or breakfast once you've cleared security, think again - people are having to be fast tracked through for each flight to avoid missing final call. Worst airport I've ever used

Flew to corfu (jet2) 4/6/24 - from departing/arriving to security absolute shambles, this so called security scan process investment to make the process smoother all lies , the investment needed is in people humans , pay them and get them , waiting times off the scale for a so called international airport, don’t care if building work for the future will make it better should have been shut down and done,avoid at all cost even when work done as I can’t see it sorted till staffing is sorted.
