THE DOOR WAS NOT AS HEAVY, BUT IT DID NOT FIT THE THE TOTAL SPACE, IT FIT OK, I ASKED THE GARAGE DOOR MAN ABOUT IT, HE SAID ME THE GARAGE FLOOR IS UNEVEN. TO ME, THE BOTTOM OF THE GARAGE THAT IS RUBBER IS NOT LONG ENOUGH. SO THEY GAVE ME A NEW DOOR, BIG DEAL NOW I WILL HAVE TO FIND THE RIGHT STUFF TO MAKE IT FIT THE TOTAL SPACE, NOT THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THE GARAGE DOOR

I came home from work and thought I was in Park, in my driveway. Apparently, I wasn’t. I ran through my garage door. Precision Garage Door had my door completely installed in 2.5 hours. Our installer Demetri, was incredible. So polite and professional. No mess. Perfection. If you want perfection, without the hassle or pressure sales..call Precision Garage Door, and ask for Megan. Demetri and Megan are so knowledgeable and total rock stars in this business. Make this your FIRST CALL. There’s no company better. God bless you for all you did for us.

I booked an appt for a new door and installation estimate. The day before their system texted me and confirmed the appt time slot. The time slot came and passed and not a peep. I called and was told at first I was scheduled for 2 hours later. Then after holding was told the technician was running behind on a job and would be late. I won't be calling again.

I learned something new today, so I get to stay home! I had a spring on my garage door break, so needless to say the door wouldn’t open.

I took to the internet, first provider to pop up was Precision Door. High reviews, easy to schedule online, the service guy that showed up was very professional. Explained everything he was going to do, let me know there were 3 options he was going to quote, spring replacement, cable replacement and rollers.
The spring only quote was $945.00, add the other parts, close to $1600.00. I passed and told him I was going to get another quote. I was aware when I signed up there was an $89.00 dispatch fee. I had to pay if I declined service. I paid without reservation. I called another provider, Garage Doors by George. Service guy showed up, told be it would be about $300.00 to replace both springs. Deal! 20 minutes later, door works great. So, this is what I learned, start a service company, let the prospect know upfront that they will charged a dispatch.Being I saved over $600.00 by not biting on the first
price, the dispatch fee doesn’t bother me. If I would spent the $945, then learned I could have gotten it at a better price, I would not have felt to good! Hopefully my experience will help someone in need of garage door service in the Cedar Rapids area.

Trevor Kalista informed me from when he left to when he arrived. He was very knowledgeable - he gave me the good/bad of what I had - than the choices I had going forward - very honest and straight forward. He answered ALL my questions. After installation he explained everything he installed and how it worked.
The best comment I can make is I would request Trevor if need help again!!!!
Company was excellent to deal with.

Josh arrived as prearranged by phone and was respectful and attentive to listening to my concerns. He then asked a few questions and spent time zeroing in on my doors problem. He then explained the cause of my issue and showed me his assessment of the problem. Thank you

Off the bat I was impressed that they do service work on Saturdays! Second, Mr. Lopez, the tech, was nice and quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to explain the what, where, when and how of our issues with our commercial and residential doors. Everything was in stock and they came out next day to install and repair both doors. Great experience.

Best garage door company one could ask for! I called on a Saturday as our garage door would open but wouldn't close.

They sent out a technician on a SUNDAY WITHOUT emergency fees as they do appointments on Sundays.

The owner, Ron, came out, assessed the problem, showed us how to fix it in the future and also gave us a quote for a future garage door, which we will need in the next couple of years anyway.

Service, professionalism, cost - you could not ask for anything better.
We called Precision Door Service because we also used them in our prior home and in my parents home for garage door opener installation and service. We are truly overjoyed with their quality of work.

I own a rental. The garage door wouldn't open. I called Precision. Told them it was a rental with a broken spring. They gave the renters the appraisal 1900.00 Crazy! A torque spring 59.00...they charged 399.00 plus a ton of other parts and charges. It was an emergency and it needed to be fixed, so the renter signed it thinking that Precision had contacted me. They did not. So after renter pays thinking he'll be reimbursed by me. I called for an update and learned they were just finishing the job. Without talking to me. After they left I called the PDS manager. He did give me a small refund 399.00 but after speaking again to my renter, I was informed the serviceman said it's not going to work for long, that there are more things wrong. Then why would you fix it? I already had a quote for a garage door and brand new opener for 2100.00. This place is unprofessional and I wished I had checked other people's reviews for verification. My loss. Their loss for future business.

Joern Von Kehler was the technician. He was polite, efficient and got the job done quickly.

We had a new garage door opener installed along with a new belt, new roller and new remotes. The technician was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was pleasant and a joy to work with. This was a good experience and hopefully the garage door system will continue to run smoothly with no problems and last as long as the last system lasted,30 years.

Dylan Davis was very friendly and knowledgeable on what he was doing . I would ask for his help again .

From the first point of contact to the end of the door repair, the experience was excellent.
My technician, Rob Wiggins, was punctual and a pleasue with whom to work; definitely knew what he was doing. He was very efficient and showed me, in detail, what had to be done and what didn't need to be done now if money was an issued; listed the price of each item so that I could see what the cost was going to be . I approved his starting the job and within about 3 hours he was done. He walked me through every item he replaced, how the new controls worked and I am a very happy client. No run arounds, no upsale no nonsense. Very personable and professional. Would certainly recommend this business and Rob.

Fantastic service and experienced, courteous technician. Darrick did a wonderful job and explained everything before and after his work. Easily the best garage door service I have ever had. COomplete multi-point inspection, replaced the eye lights and fixed several improper installation problems that had been made by a different company 3 months before on a new system. I can't say enough how happy I am with the technician and the service.

The motor shaft on the opener failed. Their tech came out and saw that I had a 1 piece, solid door. He offered to replace door, motor, everything, but would not JUST replace the motor. He told me his BOSS won't allow them to work on solid garage doors due to warranty concerns. (BAIT and SWITCH😝). I went to HOME DEPOT and used their installers for under $500, INCLUDING the new motor.

I received a call from the Precision technician letting me know he was at my home.
When he called I was 1 block from my house. Jaylen, the technician asked me if he
could park in my driveway. As I was driving to my home I could see he was already in
my driveway. I told him yes. He walked into the garage, lifted the garage door about
1/3 of the way up and said my springs were bad. The springs should be able to hold the
door up by itself at this point which was not happening. He then told me that since my
springs are bad the motor should be replaced. He then asked for a fan and bottled
water. I asked him for pricing and told him I don’t have bottled water. I did turn the fan
on in the garage. I did get him a glass of ice water. He went to his truck and a few
minutes later wanted to know if he could come into my home instead of discussing
pricing on the back porch. He said he was hot. The pricing for the springs and motor
were approximately $2,000. I told him that he didn’t even get up on the ladder to look at
the springs or the motor so how does he know they are bad. He also did not bother to
look at the sensors. The company I work for installs and repairs dock doors. I called
my boss/owner to ask him if this pricing was reasonable. He told me definitely not and
they are way over priced. The technician came down $50 on pricing but that was it. I
told him no thanks and paid him the service call fee. I had parked across the street so
he could get in/out of my driveway. When I told him no thanks and I started walking to
my car and told him where I was going, he asked me if I wanted him to move his truck.
The lack of common sense, over pricing – no – gouging, lack of preparation as far not
bringing his own fan and drinks is not conducive to a good customer relationship as far
as I am concerned. I used Precision in the past and it was a good experience. Not any
more. My boss had his service manager come to my home and made an adjustment on
the motor for up and down movement and the door is working properly. Bad move on
Precision’s part. No recommendation and I will make it a point to tell everyone about this. I don’t know if this just target women but it does look like there are a few reviews from men who have been scammed with their pricing and unethical tactics.
