Dance Wear and Costumes

I bought from prima dancewear for my upcoming show and I have been amazed by the unbelievable customer service I have received. I also have been so impressed by the extremely fast delivery. Furthermore, the quality of my costume is so so good, with amazing attention to detail and great sizing.

Overall, my experience with prima dancewear has been really really amazing. I would recommend to anyone in need of dance wear and dance costumes.

Amazing quality on group costume

I recently ordered a group costume from Prima dance wear and despite some of the condescending reviews I am pleased to say this is one of the best quality costumes I own. I’ve been ordering from this dancewear


I’ve been ordering from this dancewear brand for quite a long time now, and they’ve never let me down. Every experience has been consistently positive, which is why I keep coming back.

Their costumes are always beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with great attention to detail. You can really tell that they understand what dancers need, both in terms of style and comfort. Everything I’ve received has felt high quality and reliable, whether it’s for practice or performance.

One of the things I appreciate most is how dependable they are. Orders are processed quickly, and delivery times are always fast, which makes a big difference when you’re preparing for classes, competitions, or shows.

Overall, this is a brand I trust completely. Their dancewear is not only lovely but also consistently meets my expectations. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for stylish, reliable dancewear.

Prima is my go-to!

Prima is the most reliable and good quality brand for all dancewear purposes. They have such a huge range of products for anything you could possibly need in all colours, designs and sizes. As well as this, their delivery is always super speedy - I often do last-minute orders and my parcel arrives within the next day! Prima’s customer service is also brilliant, with genuinely helpful and thoughtful responses to any enquiries or concerns I may have.

I rarely leave reviews

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with this company has been so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. Their customer service and policies are nothing short of appalling. Simple issues are met with defensiveness rather than solutions, and there seems to be little to no regard for customer satisfaction.

What’s even more concerning is the attitude of the owner. Instead of taking accountability or showing any willingness to improve, she comes across as dismissive and unprofessional. It genuinely feels like customers are seen as an inconvenience rather than the foundation of the business.

This approach is not only frustrating in the moment, but it’s also actively damaging the company’s reputation. Trust is incredibly hard to build and very easy to lose—and right now, it’s clear that trust is being eroded with every interaction.

To other potential customers: proceed with extreme caution. Based on my experience, you should seriously reconsider before choosing to do business here.

Awful customer service and very poor quality garments

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a dancewear company. I was forced to pay cash due to their card machine not working at the MoveIt convention and was told no receipt could be issued. They later refused a refund on that basis (!?)), despite never explaining their policies at the time of purchase.

The item itself is badly made, fits terribly, and feels extremely cheap, yet Prima prices them as if they are properly branded and not just from China.

The level of customer service and general attitude was dismissive and disrespectful throughout. Overall, one of the worst dancewear retailers I’ve dealt with. Very disappointing and not a company I would trust or recommend.

IN RESPONSE TO YOUR LIES OF A REPLY, I REITERATE: I was forced to pay cash due to their card machine not working at the MoveIt convention and was told no receipt could be issued.
THE FACT THAT YOU SAY THE SAME TO EVERY SINGLE BAD REVIEW PROVES THAT YOU DON'T HAVE A LEG TO STAND ON! THE FACT THAT YOU ALSO EMAILED STATING YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AT MOVEIT REMEMBERS ME AND THE TRANSACTION, IS PROOF BEYOND DISPUTE AS PER YOUR OWN ADMISSION!

We take all genuine customer concerns seriously, which is why we have thoroughly checked our records. There is no proof of purchase from you, no matching transaction, and no evidence that you have ever bought from our company. If you believe otherwise, we invite you to provide any form of proof which can be: an order confirmation, bank statement, receipt, or even a product photo. Yet you have supplied none.

Your claims regarding being “forced to pay cash” and “no receipt being issued” are also inconsistent with our procedures. Every customer at events is offered a receipt, and card payments were fully operational. If a customer chooses to pay cash, that is entirely their choice.

Regarding the comment about items “from China”:
The majority of garments worldwide. Including high-end and luxury brands, are manufactured in China. Manufacturing location has nothing to do with quality; fabrication, design, and material standards do.

Without proof that you purchased anything from us, this review appears to be misleading and potentially false, which is unfair to both our business and our actual customers.

We welcome honest feedback from real buyers, but we will not accept fabricated claims.
If you can provide proof of purchase, we will gladly address your concerns.
If not, we ask that this review be removed.

Terrible quality and even worse customer service

I bought an item from Prima Dancewear at Move It, and it was a complete disaster. The card machine was broken, so I had to pay cash and was told no receipt could be issued—now they refuse a refund, claiming “no proof of purchase.” I was never informed that refunds were not allowed, and there were no changing rooms or mirrors to properly assess fit.

The item itself is poorly made, with huge gaping sections, terrible fit, and cheap material. It has not been worn and can be inspected, yet they still refuse a refund. Other vendors at Move It handle these situations fairly; Prima Dancewear clearly does not.

This is misleading, inflexible, and unlawful behavior. Avoid unless you want to risk being trapped into keeping an item that is both poorly made and does not fit.

We are disappointed to read this review, as it does not accurately reflect the events that took place.

Firstly, our card machine was working, but the venue WiFi was occasionally temperamental. We explained that a short wait would allow the connection to stabilise for a card payment. You chose to pay in cash, which we accepted. A cash payment does not prevent a receipt being issued and we would have issued one had you requested it.

Before paying, you specifically asked whether the item could be returned if it didn’t fit. We clearly informed you that at this event we were offering exchanges only, not refunds. This policy exists because, in previous years, items were worn during the convention and returned with odours or marks. We want every customer to receive brand new, unworn garments of high quality.

Regarding the claim that there were “no changing rooms”:
We had a pop-up changing room available all weekend, and many customers used it. You did not request to use it, and your daughter, the person the item was for, was not present when you purchased it, so we could not assist with sizing or fit.

We also strongly disagree with the accusation of poor quality. The same style and fabric were purchased by many dancers throughout the weekend, and we received only positive feedback. Unfortunately, in this case, the style you selected did not fit your daughter, which we understand can be disappointing. For that reason, we offered multiple alternative styles and repeatedly tried to assist you, but were met with hostile behaviour from both you and your companion.

We remain committed to fair and transparent customer service and stand by the accuracy of our policies and the quality of our products.

Great dancewear brand

Great dancewear brand, always so reliable and the quality of items has been top notch. I always purchase from this company - delivery is super fast too. I know that I have no problems with exchanges too, as the customer service team are always happy to help organise different sizes if I make a mistake!

Poor customer service

Poor customer service — customer beware - you will be added to a blacklist!!

After leaving honest negative feedback about my experience, my account was restricted and I was unable to place further orders.

In their initial email, they explicitly linked this restriction to my review and stated that it could be reconsidered if I updated or removed it. When I raised concerns about this, the explanation then changed to “issues with orders,” however no clear details of those issues were ever provided despite multiple requests.

The overall communication then became dismissive, with my follow-up being met with a response stating they did not feel further correspondence was needed.

This raises serious concerns about how they handle customer feedback. Customers should be able to leave honest reviews without fear of being penalised or effectively blacklisted.

Based on my experience, I would urge other customers to think carefully before ordering.

I have retained the full email correspondence.

Following the response making accusations of inappropriate and hostile communication I now publish the e-mail, which shows no such thing. Shameful behaviour from a company.

I find it extremely concerning that my account has been restricted simply because I left an honest review about my experience. Reviews exist so customers can share genuine feedback, whether positive or negative.

Suggesting that the restriction could be lifted if I remove or change my review appears to place pressure on customers to alter their feedback. This is not something I’m comfortable with.

I would appreciate confirmation that your position is to refuse service to customers who leave negative reviews. If so, I will take this into account when deciding my next steps.
