Karla Dudley did an outstanding job. She took over the sale of our house and purchase of the new one halfway through the process so she was instantly in at the deep end, especially as it was a complicated purchase and the timeframe was extremely ambitious.

If I could give 0 stars I would, this organisation is unbelievably poor. They were non responsive for 8 weeks during the purchase of my unoccupied property in Feb 2022, ignoring my calls and emails which took 5 months to complete due to Prince Evans being so slow and incompetent. Now I have come to sell the property, with a different solicitor of course, and it transpires that the land registry I paid Prince Evans £270 to complete in Feb 2022, was never applied for. I have subsequently lost my buyer and onward purchase due to Prince Evans negligence, to which they absurdly accept no liability, without acknowledging their fault of not registering the property when instructed 3 years ago. Worst service experienced, do not use this solicitor.

Jenny worked diligently and very efficiently within a challenging time frame and secured a smooth completion. Her work was outstanding, always replying promptly and clearly. I highly recommend Jenny Lovern for anyone seeking an experienced and effective solicitor with the best service.

I'm not one for writing reviews too often, but I have to single out the excellent Jenny Lovern, who heads up the conveyancing team at Prince Evans. I've been involved in a substantial amount of property sales over many years, but my most recent one was by far the most frustrating and complex. Despite challenging circumstances throughout, Jenny managed the whole process in an extremely calm, reassuring and professional manner, which in turn made me confident that she'd get us to completion - even when at times it looked like we wouldn't! Jenny is also a great communicator, always updating and responding in a timely and clear manner, as well as being an absolute pleasure to deal with. I can't recommend her highly enough

We have just completed the sale of our property and can't thank Karla Dudley enough. The conveyancing timelines were very tight, but she used her great experience to get all the steps done super quick. Moreover, she had to deal with a very inexperienced solicitor for the buyer, but was forever patient and at the right time escalated issues to progress the sale, which in the end completed with time to spare. Karla Dudley from Prince Evans is an excellent conveyancing solicitor. She is prompt, diligent and has great attention to detail. I was recently emailed saying at Prince Evans, they strive to provide exceptional service, I can confirm, it has been exceptionally slow and pretty poor.
In October 2022, We had our first meeting, given a fee of approx 5.75-7.5k + Vat, agreed verbally and then confirmed in writing
In May 2023, a new person emailed to say probate had yet to be applied for and fees were now estimated to be 15k+ vat, and that the previous person, who had now left, had made a mistake because she was inexperienced.
Probate was granted in late 2023 and
we put the property on the market in early 2024. After instructing a separate conveyancing solicitor, I was strongly advised and felt coerced into using PE own conveyancing team.
The property sale completed in May 2024 and the solicitor we were dealing with left the same day.
In June 2024 I wrote (template from the legal ombudsman) to complain about the delays and change to fees, I was advised the matter was "near completion"
I chased up email in August and was told the matter was "almost finalised"
In late August 2024, about 75% of estate was paid out. 3 months later, I was told, by a third person the estate accounts "were almost complete" and that they would be in touch "soon"
After several emails in January, and a phone call, we received the final accounts with mistakes.
The mistakes were amended (fees remained at 15k + VAT) and the final amount was paid 26 months after the person died and we received what seems to be a cut and paste "apology"

Multiple times I have had to re-send info and documents, point out mistakes or inform them - using Royal mail track and trace - what date (sometimes 4 weeks prior) they received the items they claimed not to have.

Our experience of conveyancing and selling/buying houses was minimal. All I can say is thank heavens we had the fortune to have Karla Dudley at Prince Evans to support us. Her support, guidance and commitment to helping us to finalise our sale and exchange on our new house was exemplary. I honestly believe that we wouldn't have been able to proceed without her support. She went above and beyond the call of duty and was available when we needed her in an emergency. Absolutely recommend this solicitor.

Karla Dudley of Prince Evans Solicitors was absolutely exemplary helping us with our move. We had some pretty complex issues to deal with with both selling and buying and she navigated through them professionally and with great care and explained everything really well through every step of the process. I would not hesitate to employ her services again and would whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone who needs any conveyancing work.

We instructed this firm to deal with a contentious probate case. The level of service provided was extremely poor, court papers were filed late, we were given incorrect legal advice and not warned about the very high level of fees charged. There were long delays in the case and we felt that we were used simply to generate income for the firm. There was an over reliance upon counsel which incurred further unnecessary fees. We would never recommend nor instruct this firm again.
