5* service and Product

Was a bit dubious about placing an order with Pro camera as l saw a few negative reviews and that they seemed to be trading under several different names but from the same address?
But as they were the only ones with the lenses in stock and at a good price l took the risk and paid by PayPal credit card to give myself that bit of protection and it also gave me a £20.00 discount off the price.
I am happy to say that the transaction was perfect from start to finish, the lenses arrived the very next day at 8:15 in the morning as advised by the courier. The lenses was well packaged and in its sealed manufacturers box and in perfect condition and l am more than happy with the whole experience and based on my experience l would not hesitant to use Pro Camera again in the future.

Canon zoom lens

Ordered a Canon 8 - 15 mm zoom lens which was allegedly in stock. First delivery promise missed and I am now waiting until tomorrow before I take up the problem with Mastercard and demand a full refund. Oh how I wish I'd checked the reviews before ordering! 2nd promise also missed. No satisfactory explanation why goods were shown on website as being in stock which was confirmed by email before I placed the order. I have now cancelled the order and have been 'promised' a refund within 3 working days. Is there not some rule applied by credit card companies which states that no funds must be taken unless the goods are in stock and ready for immediate despatch?

Customer purchased too late for a trip to Africa. We were unable to meet their delivery timescale. We have now made this a stocked line to enable next day delivery going forward.

My Fujifilm X100F developed a fault…

My Fujifilm X100F developed a fault with the lens movement in its second year of use. I contacted Mike at Pro Camera under the terms of their extended warranty. Without seeing the camera, he declared that my use of an approved lens hood on the camera was the reason for the failure and voided their guarantee. The camera was repaired, efficiently, at my own expense by Fuji who confirmed that the use of the lens hood had nothing to do with the failure of the lens mechanism. Unsurprisingly, Pro Camera would not entertain refunding the repair costs. Their 2 year extended warranty is worthless.
I note Pro Camera's confident response which must be based on extra sensory perception.

Pro lens number 2

Just bought my second 'pro' lens from Pro-Camera. The Nikon 24 - 70mm f2.8 isn't a cheap lens, but it's cheaper here than anywhere else I know of. The other lens I bought a while back from these guys is the Nikon 14 - 24mm f2.8.

Both of these arrived in perfect condition. Although the first lens took a while to arrive, the second lens took only a few days.

I'm very pleased with my lenses and will definitely buy again from this company.

I now need to start saving up for the Nikon 70 - 200mm f2.8.

Great job guys!

Good Service

It's very easy to write a poor review from the anonymity of a keyboard. I have only ever had good experiences when dealing with Pro Camera. I ordered a Fuji 16-80 lens on the 13th March - Saturday and it promptly arrived on the 17th by DPD Local. No issues with the lens so far and all seems to be working correctly.

I brought a backup Zoom for my Sony A9…

I brought a backup Zoom for my Sony A9 , the tamron 70-180mm . I'm always cautious about online sites but they always picked up the phone and were really nice to deal with . The package was a day late ( Covid delivery backup) but they emailed me with the revised delivery date straight away and it turned up 9.30 am the next day.

Bought a new Camera, delivered next day - perfect!

Paid for a Canon 80D new and received it the next morning. The camera is perfectly new and a UK model too - (I entered the serials into the Canon registration site to make sure it was not a 'grey import'.)

I had concerns after reading some reviews on trustpilot but I can say this was a genuine transaction and I am quite happy. New UK-model camera exactly as advertised.

It is a 2016 model camera and the battery was completely flat when I got it, which worried me as some recharables don't like being fully discharged, but it has charged up OK. (I guess this stock has been sitting a while.)

In conclusion: very happy. The item is exactly as advertised. And next day delivery surprised me as it was free.

Top quality products with top quality service

After a less than successful experience with ANother on-line retailer pretending to be British, I approached my purchase with some caution. But I need not have been concerned. Liz, Sales Manager at Pro Camera was completely reassuring and so I went ahed with the purchase. Order last Friday evening, it was delivered by UPS yesterday (Monday at 1230). Totally satisfied and VERY HAPPY TO RECOMMEND...

REDUCED WARRANTY

I have been reading the reviews on Pro-Camera and on the whole they are good. I am looking at a Tamron lens on their site and Tamron give a 5 year warranty were as Pro-Camera only offer a 2 year warranty. Food for thought, is additional 3 years warranty better than their discount?

In these difficult times expectations…

In these difficult times expectations of communication and delivery dates are not high. However pro camera delivered the lens in five days and answered an email I sent them after a few minutes. First class service.

I bought a camera as a birthday present…

I bought a camera as a birthday present from Pro-camera. I wasn’t sure what to buy but I found the customer service very helpful. They offered me the best choices within my budget. I’m the end I went with a Nikon P1000 with a bag. Delivery was next day. The present went down really well and I’m really pleased. Excellent service and excellent company. Will be recommending Pro- camera to all my friends.

Terrible experience with after care.

I bought the Nikon 200-500 lens after reading great reviews about their delivery time etc, which was great, however, 5 months later my lens got an object within the barrel, after explaining that I can’t be without my lens for weeks on end, pro-camera offered to have their tech look at it for me, which they did and had it back to me in record time, the problem was that they hadn’t replaced grub screw correctly, which dislodged and jammed my lens (creating great gouges out the barrel) at 250mm, useless to me. On then contacting pro-camera again they refused to take any responsibility for the damage. They claimed it had demanded when they looked at it, that it was in that condition when I sent it to them but also that it was sent back to me fix and useable, it can’t of been both. I became so stressed I wasn’t seeping, eating and had permanent headaches so I got solicitor involved, they refused contact with them, they simply kept repeating that they would send it to Nikon if I posted it to them, fronting the cost, yet again (turns out it’s free to post items to Nikon) but when questioned if the would admit to looking at the lens they avoided answering the question, telling me they wouldn’t. As a whole I found the customer service representative to be rude, unhelpful and she completely refused to acknowledge they had damaged my lens to a point it was useless to me. Now, I expect that this review will have some reply from pro-camera, as the other negative reviews have, still refusing to take responsibility, but having sent the lens off to Nikon myself, with a letter explaining what had happened it’s been sent back to me with the damaged parts replaced, at no charge, so they obviously realised that it was damage I could not of possibly myself. They accused me of lying, being demanding and with each email getting more and more disrespectful and undermining as they came through. I’m so pleased with the outcome from Nikon, but I, my photographer friends and members of my camera club (800+ members) will never use pro-camera again. All is good until you find yourself with a £1000 lens damaged and useless to you and no one taking responsibility for it.

Since writing this review I’ve received an email from Trustpilot saying pro-camera have requested a copy of my original invoice, claiming they want to look into it further, they have received countless emails from me and opportunity to look into it, several with a copy of my invoice attached, so they can 1) contact me directly and 2) already have a copy. Maybe I should of written the review whilst this was on going, they might of taken a little more interest in my case then!

In reply to your reply, pro-camera, yes, it’s a good job Nikon care about their customers, and are willing to fix your mistakes, at no charge, because I wouldn’t of had the energy to chase you for payment for the work, you would probably of just turned rude and undermining again!

I wanted a camera for my daughter who…

I wanted a camera for my daughter who is just starting a photography course at college and found pro-camera online. Their customer service was excellent. I advised my budget and what I spec I wanted and they gave some great advice. I made my purchase and the delivery arrived next day. Couldn’t be happier.
