Thank you for sharing your perspective. We want to clarify that Rapid Radios are Push-To-Talk devices, which rely on existing cellular networks to operate. They are designed to provide nationwide communication where traditional two-way radios and cell phones often struggle—especially in areas with limited local coverage.

While no cellular-based device can function if all networks are completely offline, Rapid Radios are intended to offer reliable long-range communication during everyday emergencies, natural disasters, travel, and remote work scenarios where standard walkie-talkies fall short.

For customers who are specifically looking for an option designed for emergency-only use such as prepping, we also offer the My Emergency Radio, which is intended for critical communication situations.

We always strive to be transparent about how our technology works and are happy to answer any questions to help customers choose the solution that best fits their needs.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that the yearly service fee and transmission delay did not meet your expectations, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience did not align with what you were hoping for.

Our radios operate over LTE networks, which can introduce a slight delay depending on coverage, network conditions, and location. However, under normal conditions, the delay should not exceed 1–2 seconds. While many customers find the performance reliable for their needs, we recognize that different setups and use cases may require different solutions.

At this time, we do not see any correspondence regarding the lag issue, which would have allowed our team to troubleshoot the concern. In some cases, replacement radios are needed to resolve performance issues, and we would have been happy to assist.

Regarding the Warranty Protection Plan, this option appears as a pop-up after you add an item to your cart and select “Checkout.” At that point, different plan options are available to choose from, and you can select “Add to Order” to include the warranty. You’ll then have the opportunity to review your cart before completing your purchase.
